00:11The third and last case of drug-related cases against former Senator Laila de Lima has been closed by the court.
00:18According to her lawyer, Atty. Bonnie Tacardon,
00:21the petition of De Lima was dismissed by the Montenegro Regional Trial Court Branch 206 this afternoon
00:27and she was released because the prosecution found her guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
00:33In November 2023, she was allowed by the court to appeal the said case.
00:38The court said that it is not clear whether the witnesses proved that De Lima was involved in an illegal drug trade.
00:46Today, the two cases of De Lima were dismissed by the Quezon City RTC Branch 76
