00:00The annual assembly of the Associati Manageritalia Lombardia, held last month at the Hotel Principe di Savoia di Milano, has seen the confirmation of Paolo Scarpa's role as president, while Antonio Bonardo and Tiziana Vallone were elected as vice-presidents.
00:19Manageritalia is the association of managers of the advanced tertiary. In recent years we have seen a growth of our managers and especially of women managers. We usually have managers who are part of multinationals, but there has also been an approach from the PMI, who are organizing their companies better and better from a managerial point of view, therefore with the assumption of managers.
00:48We hope that this can come even in a broader way, since the PMI is a fundamental part of our Italian economic system.
00:55The Milanese meeting offered the opportunity to discuss various issues, including gender equality, with the number of women managers who in the last year has grown by 8.8%, reaching 13,000.
01:09Women continue to draw on the growth of managers, from 2008 to today they are more than doubled. This is a very positive sign, even if we are still at fairly low levels. Overall we are at 21% of female representation in the tertiary sector and 16% in the industry.
01:30Manageritalia Lombardia, with its group of women managers, is doing many activities in support of the inclusion of women, of their empowerment, especially to support the growth of the country.
01:42Of course we are not working only on the inclusion of women, but to change the culture of work, to ensure that the merit and competence beyond gender and age are valued in companies.
