Ingredients

For the Qeema:
- 500g Halal ground beef or chicken
- 3 tablespoons oil ️

- 2 cups basmati rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil or ghee ️

For the Kasi Phal (Pumpkin Curry):
- 500g pumpkin (peeled and cubed)
- 2 tablespoons oil ️
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 tomatoes (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder ️
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Qeema:

1. Heat the Oil:
- In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. ️➡️

2. Sauté the Onions:
- Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they become golden brown. ➡️

3. Add Ginger-Garlic Paste:
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears. ➡️

4. Cook the Tomatoes:
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy. ➡️

5. Add the Spices:
- Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, ground coriander, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until the oil starts to separate from the masala. ️➡️

6. Add the Qeema:
- Add the ground beef or chicken to the pot and stir well to coat it with the spice mixture. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. ➡️

7. Simmer:
