00:00Arzip, you have bowled at many places, this outfield, this wind factor, will you say something about it?
00:07Because from one place, it was looking a little uphill at this time, it was looking straight from there,
00:12and this wind factor that was there, the wind that was blowing, as a bowler, how did you adjust that?
00:18What will you say about that?
00:20Sir, as a player, as a team, our motto is that we can adapt the conditions so well.
00:24And what can I say about the wind factor?
00:26For example, when we were bowling from this end, from the other side of the pavilion,
00:29we were getting good support from the wind, and the ball was swinging from one side.
00:33But when you are bowling from the other end, you have to run against the wind,
00:36and you have to see that, because the batsmen were trying to hit shots from that side,
00:40and they were travelling a lot from that side.
00:42So what are your defensive options there?
00:44And how should you not bring the wind into play too much,
00:47and how should you be defensive from that side and attack from this side?
00:50Because when the ball was going in the wind tunnel, it was going very long,
00:54so how easy or difficult was it to keep this in mind while bowling?
00:59It's not about how easy or difficult, but if you play well,
01:02and you can adapt to the conditions as soon as possible,
01:05then that helps you a lot in the future as well.
01:07And because the two matches we played in the past,
01:09the wind was blowing from one side as well,
01:11so we are quite used to it as players, and we have an idea of how to handle it.
01:16Harshdeep, when Australia needed about 100 runs of 10 overs,
01:21that's quite tricky for a bowling attack.
01:25So how did the bowling unit go about it?
01:28What was the thought process that could stop them with a degree of ease?
01:35The thought was clear, our batters also batted on the same wicket,
01:39and early on it was easy to score runs, the ball was coming on nicely,
01:42but afterwards it became tough to hit boundaries,
01:45so we knew when we get a couple of wickets,
01:48it will be tough for the new batters coming in to hit boundaries at will.
01:52So that was the plan, and a couple of nice overs from the spinners in the middle of a service.
01:59Harshdeep, there's always a lot of talk about what Jasprit does in the death overs,
02:03but you have a really good record as well in the death.
02:06Can you talk about bowling on the other end too, Jasprit?
02:08Because you know he'll bowl the 17th and the 19th,
02:11so when you are given the ball in the 15th or the 16th or whatever,
02:14just the whole dynamic of bowling at the other end to Jasprit.
02:19I guess a lot of credit goes to Jassi bhai,
02:21because he puts a lot of pressure on the batters,
02:24he gives 3 or 4 runs in an over,
02:26so batsmen are coming hard against me,
02:28and when they are trying, I just have to try and bowl my best bowl,
02:33and there are a lot of chances of getting wickets there,
02:35because on the other end they see the runs are not coming,
02:38and the asking rate is going high,
02:40so they take more risk against me,
02:42and there's a chance always of getting a wicket there.
02:45So I guess there's a lot of credit that goes to,
02:47of my wickets that goes to Jassi bhai.
02:51Josh Hazlewood came in before and said he felt that it was a 190 par type wicket.
02:56How important did you think Hardik's innings was at the end there,
03:01to push the score out as much as he did?
03:04It was very important because, as I said before,
03:08from one end it was very hard for the bowlers to even pitch the ball,
03:12and the bowler was flying to the boundary,
03:15so having that cushion of extra 15-20 runs always helps as a bowler,
03:19and gives you that extra freedom to go for the wicket,
03:23because eventually you're going to go for runs in this format.
03:26So if you're taking wickets, you have upper hand in this game,
03:29and when you have 15-20 more runs on the board,
03:32you always have the leverage to try a couple of more things.
03:36You've said something about Kaptaan's innings as well,
03:40because it was an amazing innings.
03:42What was the atmosphere like in the dugout and how did you enjoy it?
03:46I enjoyed it a lot, sir.
03:47Whenever he plays, he takes a lot of effortless shots.
03:50He took a lot of long sixes, and it doesn't feel like he's hitting the ball.
03:53He takes it very lovingly and goes very far.
03:56So it was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it a lot,
03:58and hopefully we'll try to do the same in the next two innings as well.
04:02Steve, what do you make of England as semi-final opponents,
04:05and what are you expecting from Guyana?
04:07I think it's the first game there for you guys in the comp.
04:11Right now, we're not expecting anything out of that game.
04:14We'll just have a little celebration after this game
04:17and a long travel day ahead.
04:19Then we'll see what conditions there are and how we can do our best there.
04:23How exciting is it to have the opportunity to beat them
04:26after what happened in Adelaide 18 months ago, two years ago?
04:30It is exciting when you come to the World Cup,
04:33and in the knockout stages you have really nice opponents.
04:36But as I told you, our motto here is stay where your feet are,
04:40and right now we're just trying to enjoy this moment.
04:44We've got two questions in Barbados. You can go ahead, Corey.
04:51On the eve of the semi-final,
04:55how is it to have a captain's knock
04:58and a captain leading the way?
05:01How much of a moral booster is it?
05:04And how did he guide you during those tense moments?
05:09Sir, as a team, we always talk in the dressing room
05:13that personal scores don't matter much as long as the team is doing nice.
05:17We knew he's a legend,
05:19and the big knock was around the corner all the time.
05:22We were not surprised by the way he played today,
05:24and it came off really well.
05:26And even in the coming games, we just hope he does the same for us.
05:39Hello, can you hear me?
05:40Please repeat that question, we can't hear you.
05:44Ashdeep, Kuldeep has come in for the Super 8 stage
05:47from the time the matches have moved to the Caribbean.
05:49What is his impact in the middle overs,
05:51and how does it help you at the top end and at the back end?
05:55Kuldeep is a champion spinner.
05:57Whenever he gets a chance, he delivers.
06:01He's always been in the wickets.
06:03Today as well, he was bowling from the tough end,
06:05and even against the wind, he managed to bowl at around 6 and over
06:09and took crucial wickets.
06:11He's a really important player in our team,
06:13and we're looking forward to take all from him.
06:19And we hope he takes a lot of wickets.
06:22Thanks everyone, that's it for today.
06:25Thank you.
