कर्नाटक सरकार ने कबाब, चिकन, मछली और कुछ वेजिटेरियन आइटम जिसमें आर्टिफिशियल कलर का इस्तेमाल होता है उस पर बैन लगा दिया है. हाल ही में हुए लैब टेस्टिंग में पता चला है कि इन फूड आइटम में जो फूड कलर का इस्तेमाल किया जाता है उससे सनसेट येलो और कारमोइसिन की मात्रा काफी ज्यादा पाई गई है. जोकि इंसान की स्वास्थ्य के लिए हानिकारक है.

The Karnataka government has banned the use of artificial colours in kebabs, chicken, fish and some vegetarian items. A recent lab testing has revealed that the food colour used in these food items contains high levels of sunset yellow and carmoisine, which is harmful for human health.
