00:11The That 70s Show spinoff That 90s Show returns this summer for season two.
00:16The Hollywood Reporter joined stars Deborah Jo Rupp and Kirtwood Smith,
00:19who play Kitty and Red Foreman, on set of the series for a special interview
00:23all about the upcoming season.
00:25We're here in Kitty and Red's iconic kitchen.
00:28What's one scene that you filmed in here that's especially memorable for you?
00:32The one we just had like a couple, three weeks ago.
00:36The entire cast and the guest cast in the kitchen in one scene.
00:41I was in heaven as Kitty. In heaven.
00:46He was not my favorite scene.
00:48But one of my favorite scenes I had the most fun was with you and me and Laura.
00:53That was a lot of fun.
00:54We were completely kindergarten children.
00:57We broke. We just could not stop laughing.
01:02And it was really, it was lovely.
01:06The show follows Donna and Derek's daughter, Leah Foreman,
01:08as she spends her summers in Point Place, Wisconsin,
01:10with her grandparents and makes new friends along the way.
01:13What's been the best part about returning to Point Place
01:16and getting to see another cast of kids grow up on camera?
01:19It's really special.
01:23These kids are younger overall than the cast was before.
01:29Just a little bit.
01:30Not that much, but yeah.
01:32We thought they were terrific last year and they're better this year.
01:36Last year they had plenty of talent.
01:39Now added to that is a sense of maturity because they know what they're doing more.
01:45You know, it wasn't all new to them.
01:47It's really fun to watch them navigate the business,
01:50like learn the business and kind of navigate it.
01:54We did it with 70's show with those kids and the business has changed.
01:59Things are different and then to watch them go through this in kind of a different way,
02:05you know, but there are parts of it that are always the same.
02:09You know, you still go from being a kid to a teenager to a, you know.
02:14It's just, for me it's a gift.
02:17It's a gift.
02:19Season one of the series saw many actors from the original show return to guest star
02:22like Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Wilmer Valderrama.
02:26As far as guest stars or original cast members,
02:29what can you tease about what we can expect in season two?
02:32The world of Point Place gets bigger.
02:35You will discover much more of Point Place,
02:38more than perhaps you ever wanted to know, but it gets bigger.
02:42You know, we have visitors from the past and new people as well.
02:48While that 70's show aired on Fox from 1998 to 2006,
02:52the sequel series streams on Netflix, bringing Rupp and Smith into the Netflix family.
02:57I saw you both were at the Netflix is a joke comedy brunch with so many amazing fellow comedians.
03:01Oh my god.
03:02What was that day like and who's somebody you got to meet for the first time that you,
03:06you know, had met before?
03:06Everyone.
03:07For me, everyone.
03:09And Kirtwood, Kirtwood knew maybe three more people than I do.
03:12I knew Noah.
03:13Very few.
03:14And then they took the photo.
03:16We got shoved down, shoved down.
03:18And all of a sudden I am front row center and I'm horrified.
03:24Horrified.
03:25Because I knew everyone was, everyone's going to look at it and go, who is that?
03:29Who is that?
03:30You know, there's Jon Stewart.
03:32There's Kevin Hart.
03:33There's who's that?
03:35I was just horrified.
03:37Horrified.
03:39I have the photo.
03:41It was fun seeing people that I haven't seen for a while.
03:45And Nick Kroll, Richard Kind.
03:50And I'm, you know, I met John Mulaney who I hadn't met and I'm a big fan of.
03:55And so it's good all around.
03:59Season two of That 90s Show hits Netflix on June 27th.
04:02For The Hollywood Reporter News, I'm Tiffany Taylor.
