00:00This exercise is an introduction in how to make rhythmic patterns with the
00:06sounds of your body. For this exercise we're going to use three main sounds so
00:12first of all I would like us to just explore these sounds. The first of which
00:17is a stamp. So after a count of four please can we all stamp together. One, two,
00:23three and. What an excellent stamp. Let's try one of those for luck. One, two, three
00:31and. Wonderful. The second of our sounds is going to be on our bellies. So let's
00:38just take a minute, gently rub our bellies to prepare the belly. Really nice
00:45and just tap it and see what kind of nice sounds you can make with your belly.
00:50What part of your belly sounds good to you?
00:56Excellent. Great. Lovely job. And our third and final sound is just a hand
01:01clap. So can we all do a hand clap after a count of four please. One, two, three and.
01:09Excellent. One more time. One, two, three and. Perfect. I'm going to give a count of
01:18four. After I finish the four I would like us all to start with a pulse. We're
01:23going to walk that pulse together and we start with our right foot. One, two, three
01:29and. So the first thing we must try to do is walk together. So we have a nice
01:40rhythmic unison. You can look at people's feet to help do this. Feel that
01:53temper. Great. The next count of four you're going to stop walking and I'm
02:00going to start to teach you a very simple short body percussion rhythm. One,
02:10two, one, two, three and stop. Two, three, keep the pulse inside. Two, three and copy
02:21after me. One, two, three and. Two, three and. Two, three and. Two, three and. Two,
02:37three and. Two, three and. Two, three and. Two, three and. Two, three and. Two, three
