00:00We will all be together in Saksi!
00:13A new heart in Saksi.
00:15An illegal man who sells guns online was arrested.
00:19Police are investigating if the suspect is a real soldier
00:22who was wearing a Philippine Navy uniform when he was arrested.
00:26Saksi with Jamie Santos, Exclusive.
00:31An entrapment operation was carried out by the members of the PNP Maritime Group
00:36after receiving information that a loose firearm was being sold on social media.
00:41In the surveillance video, two men were seen talking to a woman in the city earlier this afternoon.
00:47When it seemed that the man was wearing a uniform,
00:50he was already held by the man he was talking to.
00:53Then, other members of the PNP Maritime Group came out to arrest him.
00:59Step on him! Step on him!
01:04Step on him!
01:06Step on him!
01:07I will not fight!
01:09The suspect, who was selling guns for up to Php 20,000,
01:12was transacted by the members of the Maritime Group on social media.
01:17Through Messenger, Facebook, our cyber patrollers were engaged.
01:25There was a transaction and earlier at 1.30 p.m. in Taguig, our operatives were caught.
01:31The suspect was wearing a Philippine Navy uniform.
01:35We allegedly caught a member of the Philippine Navy.
01:39We are still verifying that.
01:41He was wearing a uniform and he even had an ID.
01:45We are still in the process of verifying if he is really a legitimate member of the Philippine Navy.
01:51According to the suspect, the gun was just pawned to him.
01:54It is still not known if the suspect has been selling guns for a long time or if he just did it for the first time.
02:00He was caught with a 9mm caliber pistol, bullets, and marked money.
02:05We have to account two firearms.
02:07At the same time, one less loose firearm in the market is one less crime that is possible to happen to our countrymen.
02:16The investigation into the sale of the loose firearm of the arrested suspect continues.
02:20For JMA Integrated News, Jamie Santos is your eyewitness.
02:26The Office of the Solicitor General is investigating the endorsement by the Philippine Statistics Authority
02:32of the cancellation of the birth certificate of suspended bamban near Alisbuo.
02:37Upon hearing that the mayor has a name and a birthday, he also has the same birthplace.
02:44Eyewitness, Mahab Gonzalez.
02:51Is it a coincidence that there are two Alis Leal-Guo who were born on July 12, 1986 in Tarlac?
03:04Or is this a case of stolen identity?
03:09These are the new questions raised by the Senate Committee on Women and Children earlier.
03:14Senator Risa Contiveros presented a picture of an Alis Leal-Guo,
03:19the name and birthplace of suspended bamban mayor Alis Guo.
03:23The NBI clearance for the name Alis Leal-Guo was applied on November 3, 2005,
03:29just a few days before the delayed registration of birth of Mayor Guo in Tarlac City on November 22, 2005.
03:36Has Guo Haping assumed the identity of a Filipino woman
03:42and then nearly a decade later, run for public office?
03:48Who is this woman named Alis Leal-Guo but doesn't look like a mayor?
03:56Where is she now?
03:59On March 20, 2021, Mayor Guo obtained an NBI clearance.
04:03She's a unique person, ma'am. She's not a problem in the system.
04:08Could it have happened because of a switch?
04:11Yes, ma'am, but I can't say what really happened there.
04:15The NBI will find out where the other Alis Leal-Guo is.
04:19The GMA Integrated News reported that the NBI agent went to the street
04:24where the NBI clearance was placed in the Senate.
04:27But it's different. It's in the same place, even though it sounds similar.
04:30The couple who lives there said that there's no Alis Leal-Guo there and they don't know her.
04:36We also went to the place where the clearance is.
04:38But there's no Alis Leal-Guo there. The name of the Alis Leal-Guo is in the document.
04:42Mayor Guo has yet to make a statement that she didn't go to the hearing because she felt bad.
04:47In her letter to the committee,
04:49Guo said that the effects of the hearings and the allegations are malicious to her physical and mental health.
04:56But the committee insisted that she needs to face it,
04:59so she went to the hearing, along with her father, three siblings, and her father's partner, Lin Wen-Yi.
05:06Mayor Alis, or should I say, Guo Huaping,
05:11if you do not honor the Sabina, I will cite you in contempt.
05:16Senators also asked if Mayor Guo is the Chinese national Guo Huaping.
05:21The NBI said that they got the fingerprint records of the two and they are evaluating them as the same.
05:27It also came out in the hearing that Guo declared different names of her mother
05:32in the open bank accounts according to the Anti-Money Laundering Council.
05:35It says Wen-Yi Lin Leal.
05:38When she opened her account, she voluntarily wrote that her mother's maiden name is Wen-Yi Lin.
05:47Yes.
05:49Because of the issues with Guo's personality,
05:51the Philippine Statistics Authority canceled her certificate of live birth.
05:56We already endorsed to the Office of the Solicitor General for the cancellation of the Colby.
06:04Because the PSA has no power to automatically cancel
06:09if we see that there is an irregular process in the registration.
06:14This was studied by the Office of the Solicitor General.
06:17The list of incorporators of Hongsheng Gaming Corporation,
06:22which operated in Bambang, Pungguhab, was presented to the committee.
06:25Merly Joy Castro said that she was surprised that she received an invitation from the Senate
06:30and a letter from the BIR regarding the closure of Hongsheng.
06:33I don't sign any papers.
06:36Actually, I don't know how to set up a corporation.
06:41Because I don't have the ability to set up a corporation.
06:46Your signature in the articles of incorporation is fake?
06:51Yes.
06:53That's why the Pancor is here.
06:54How did this happen to them?
06:56The addresses of the incorporators are being checked one by one
07:01because in the previous probity check that is being done,
07:06it only includes the documentation, the documents of the corporation, as well as the cases.
07:14According to Hontiveros, there is evidence of the connection of the various Puguhab that were raided in the country.
07:19Wang Jiyang, the Chinese fugitive who is a business partner in Bambang, Puguhab,
07:23is also an incorporator of Puguhab in Sun Valley, Clark.
07:26Hongsheng Gaming Corporation, which is located in Bambang, Puguhab,
07:30is also connected to Lucky South 99 in Porac, Pampanga.
07:33When asked by Mayor Jaime Capil,
07:36why they did not find a way to enter Puguhab during their previous inspection.
07:42We were allowed to enter only up to the guardhouse,
07:46but only up to the security office, not the entire area.
07:54So there was no checking?
07:56If you were just outside, we just looked at the facade,
08:01in reality, there was no checking?
08:04That's how it happened because we were not allowed to enter the entire area.
08:11Did you have any doubts as to why you were not allowed to enter?
08:16We thought that's a private property.
08:23The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, or PAOC,
08:26is preparing the cases that will be filed in Porac, Puguhab.
08:29They have 14 persons of interest and three are still being investigated.
08:34This is the only first time that members of the commission,
08:37of the secretariat, are getting threats that are nerve-wracking and chilling
08:42because these are not ordinary money launderers, Madam Chair, Your Honor.
08:49These are honest-to-goodness transnational criminals
08:54with records dating back to decades in China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
08:59For GMA Integrated News, I am Mav Gonzalez, your witness.
09:05The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, or POWS,
09:08has decided to file a complaint against the operators of Puguhab in Pampanga
09:12for abandoning the animals in their compound.
09:16But the operators of Puguhab say that POWS has no basis.
09:20Darlene Cai is a witness.
09:26The condition of the abandoned animals found in the Puguhab raid in Porac, Pampanga
09:31is dire.
09:32They are weak, injured, and paralyzed.
09:35These animals have not been eating or drinking for several days
09:38since the authorities saw them in the compound.
09:41The operators of Puguhab left the compound when they found out about the raid.
09:46The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission, or PAOC,
09:51immediately asked the Philippine Animal Welfare Society, or POWS,
09:54to rescue the 13 dogs, 1 cat, 2 birds, and 1 pig.
10:00When our team arrived there, they were really sad
10:04because the PAOC said that the animals have not been eating or drinking
10:14ever since, I think, the start of June.
10:17Obviously, the animals are very traumatized,
10:21hungry, and in several malnourished states.
10:27That is why the POWS has decided to file a complaint against the Animal Welfare Act
10:32against the operators of Porac, Puguhab.
10:35The forms of cruelty, it can be active cruelty like beating,
10:42or it can be passive cruelty which is neglect.
10:45Neglect or failure to provide adequate care is also cruelty.
10:49The PAOC said that they are ready to help.
10:51We can give them the names.
10:53They want to file cases against those who are neglectful
10:59in taking care of these dogs and birds that we caught.
11:05We will help them, of course.
11:07Lucky South 99 first said that there is no basis for this to be a hackbang by POWS.
11:13I think it's not abandon.
11:15The company was merely in the process of winding up its affairs.
11:18So therefore, there's no abandonment there.
11:21The law is clear.
11:22There is no intention or intent in the Animal Welfare Act.
11:29It can't be, I didn't do it on purpose, or I did it on purpose,
11:33that's why I will be made liable for abandonment.
11:37For now, thanks to the shelter of POWS,
11:39the 13 dogs and 1 cat are slowly recovering.
11:44If they continue to recover, they can be adopted.
11:48But they need to go through a thorough screening
11:51for those who want to be adopted by the rescued animals.
11:54The other breed of animals was turned over by PAOC to DENR.
11:58We surrendered to DENR first,
12:00and then they donated us to Quezon City Wildlife.
12:03So I said, this is so beautiful.
12:06Those two dogs should be seen more.
12:13For now, the cost of donation is being called
12:16so that they can continue their treatment and care for the rescued animals.
12:20For GMA Integrated News, I am Darlene Cai, your witness.
12:26Both former President Rodrigo Duterte and Senator Bato de la Rosa
12:30will not be present at the hearing of the drug war.
12:33At the hearing today,
12:35some police officers who operated in Oplan Tokhang were arrested.
12:39Witness, Jonathan Andar.
12:42Former President Rodrigo Duterte will not be present
12:45at the hearing of the drug war of his administration.
12:49According to his former presidential spokesman,
12:51Duterte is not afraid to face those who accuse him,
12:55but in court and not in a house investigation.
12:58Duterte is advocating his right against self-incrimination.
13:02With Senator Bato de la Rosa,
13:04to those invited by the House Committee on Human Rights,
13:06as the PNP Chief of Staff,
13:09De la Rosa was the one who carried out the war against drugs
13:12where thousands of people were killed.
13:14But according to the Senator, he will not attend
13:16the hearing of Senate President Chase Escudero.
13:19I don't want to become the president
13:23of violating the inter-parliamentary courtesy.
13:29So, I follow the guidance of our Senate President.
13:34So, I follow the guidance of our Senate President.
13:37That's my answer.
13:39You should not go there on the grounds of inter-parliamentary
13:44or inter-chamber courtesy.
13:47But in a statement, Escudero said that
13:49he told De la Rosa that he will support any decision.
13:53But De la Rosa refused to attend the hearing.
13:57Escudero will write to the Chairman of the Committee on Human Rights
14:00in the House of Representatives, Congressman Benny Abante,
14:02to say that Senator De la Rosa should attend the hearing of EJK in the House of Representatives.
14:06Abante said that Bato should not be afraid
14:09because he will just attend the hearing.
14:11He will not be investigated as a Senator,
14:13but as a former PNP Chief of Staff.
14:15We are not actually pointing an accusing finger on him.
14:19There are some things that he just needs to hear the victims.
14:25And there are things that he must clear himself.
14:29Former Solicitor General Jose Calida did not attend the hearing.
14:33Former PNP and PNP-IAS Chiefs of Staff
14:36were also not present.
14:37Earlier, the Chairman of the House Committee on Human Rights
14:39scolded the police for taking pictures of EJK victims' relatives.
14:43I am prohibiting any police officer to take pictures of these victims.
14:49Respect this committee.
14:52I do not want anyone to take pictures of anybody
14:56if you are not a member of the media.
14:58The police who operated on drug suspects in Piatas, Quezon City
15:02were also on the scene.
15:03Three of them were killed
15:05because they did not know the protocol of the OPLAN-TOKHANG that they carried out.
15:09What is the protocol of the OPLAN or Project TOKHANG
15:15which is differentiated from OPLAN Double Barrel?
15:19At that time, we just followed the orders of the higher-ups.
15:25You just follow the orders of the higher-ups
15:29who you do not know why.
15:31Agaraw is just making a mistake.
15:35But he knows it.
15:36Because of this, he is under arrest.
15:38It was also revealed that a police officer
15:41stabbed a PNP of a criminal case
15:43with more than 6,000 drug suspects
15:45who were killed in police operations in the drug war.
15:48The PNP-IAS Chiefs of Staff said that the relatives of the victims
15:51approached the PNP-IAS Chiefs of Staff
15:54because they did not trust the police.
15:56The relatives of the victims of the EJK also approached the PNP-IAS Chiefs of Staff
16:00who said that they will approach the ICC or International Criminal Court
16:03to answer the police who killed their relatives.
16:07For GMA Integrated News,
16:09Jonathan Andal is your witness.
16:13A student was caught red-handed in Daraga, Albay.
16:16The suspect tried to escape
16:18but he was cornered by some people in the area.
16:21Witness, Jessica Kalinog of GMA Regional TV.
16:29In the CCTV footage,
16:31a man was seen running across Daraga, Albay.
16:36Later, he was cornered by some residents
16:39and members of the Public Safety Office.
16:42The man in the video was a suspect in the robbery of a student.
16:47We were caught.
16:48We went to the municipality.
16:50I called the radio station in the basement.
16:54They were waiting for us.
16:56According to the police,
16:57the suspect followed the victim
16:59and when he reached the area where the CCTV footage was not captured,
17:02he looted the victim's wallet
17:05which was worth more than P5,000.
17:07The victim immediately asked for help
17:10so the residents chased the man who tried to escape.
17:14When I was about to escape,
17:16I was cornered.
17:18I didn't know what to do.
17:20I was cornered.
17:22The police immediately responded to the situation
17:24so the suspect was arrested.
17:26The suspect is now under the custody of the authorities.
17:30For GMA Integrated News,
17:32I am Jessica Kalinog of GMA Regional TV,
17:35your witness.
17:39Together with a tech conference,
17:41we interviewed more than 200 railway professionals in the country.
17:44Among those interviewed were railway projects
17:46and preparedness against terrorism.
17:49Witness, Sivona Quino.
17:55The Department of Transportation interviewed
17:57several infrastructure flagship railway projects of the government
18:01including the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project
18:04which is about to become operational.
18:06The MRT-7 Project,
18:08a 70% construction progress
18:10that will have a partial operation in 2025.
18:13The Balagtas Station of the North-South Commuter Railway System or NSCR
18:18is also about to be completed.
18:20Just recently, one of the contract packages of the project
18:24has celebrated the 100% civil works completion
18:28of their 14-kilometer viaduct scope
18:32between Malolos and Bukawe.
18:36Now, the viaduct section from West Valenzuela to Bukawe
18:40is also expected to be completed within this year.
18:44The Philippine Railways Institute is also preparing
18:47for the high demand of railway systems workers.
18:50Right now, we are focusing on training the existing railway lines
18:54because these new lines have yet to send trainees.
19:00But we can slowly feel that this pressure is mounting.
19:06Specifically, MRT-7, they have already sent 120 for the first batch,
19:1545 and 70 plus for the next batch of training.
19:21Mass transport is different in terms of the importance of safety
19:25especially when it comes to fighting terrorism,
19:28physically or in cyberspace.
19:30That is why the Office for Transportation Security or OTS
19:33under the Transportation Security Program of the DOTR
19:37is ordered by the transportation sectors to submit security plans
19:41to stop the spread of terrorism.
19:43Of course, you should know the risk or weakness of the terminal
19:49or its vulnerability, what terrorists can easily do to it.
19:56So, that is what you should address.
19:58You will now submit security measures.
20:01However, some, like airport operators and bus terminals nationwide,
20:06do not yet have 50% compliance.
20:09There are some airports that are undergoing evaluation
20:13or others that are under mentoring.
20:16Eventually, we are helping them.
20:21For GMA Integrated News, I am your host, Saksy.
20:25There is a change in the weather that has been formed
20:28in the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
20:30In the island of General Santos City,
20:32the last low-pressure area in the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ
20:36was hit.
20:37According to the weather forecast, the chance of a storm or LPA is low,
20:41but two weather systems in Mindanao will bring rain.
20:44The effects of the easterlies continue in the remaining part of the country.
20:48According to the data of Metro Weather,
20:50there is a chance of rain tomorrow in some parts of Northern and Central Luzon,
20:53Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and a large part of Visayas and Mindanao.
20:58Be prepared for strong rains that can cause floods or landslides.
21:03It is also possible to have rain in some districts of Metro Manila,
21:06as experienced yesterday and tonight.
21:14Different delicacies from different provinces are very delicious,
21:18which were celebrated by some Filipinos.
21:21One of them is the different types of lechon,
21:24which was also included in a competition in Pagadian City.
21:27Let's see.
21:35The lechongbida of preparations is more special in the Lechon Festival of Pagadian.
21:44Presenting Lechon na Malatiger
21:49Lechon with Polka Dots
21:52and Lechong Binihisan ng Hawaiian Costume
21:58Almost a hundred participants participated for the Most Innovative and Artistic Lechon in Pagadian,
22:04and the grand winner, who won a prize of Php 50,000,
22:08is the Basket Baboy of Barangay San Pedro.
22:11But everyone won because the lechon is free-for-all for tourists and residents.
22:18Hopefully, this can help our lechon industry.
22:21Some of us know that these lechons are one of the best in the Philippines.
22:27The most popular feast is at Kamalig Albay.
22:30The table next to it is almost one kilometer long
22:34for the Buddha Fight, where 3,000 servings of the most popular dishes are served.
22:40There is also a view of the current volcano.
22:50Another activity that can be introduced to foreigners is the Kamalig Festival.
22:57Food and culture is also the focus of the UN Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy and Tourism in Cebu.
23:04The creation of a giant version of Puso or Hanging Rice is a highlight.
23:09The Tourism Department is also monitoring how much delicious food is distributed to tourist spots in the country.
23:15The national government is mobilizing and partnering with all of our regional offices
23:20as well as our local government units and fellow national government agencies
23:25to ensure that first we preserve the integrity of Filipino food.
23:34For GMA Integrated News, Mark Salazar.
23:40And your witness.
23:43A Philippine Flying Lemur was spotted in Ormoc City.
23:46And it was captured by a picture that looks like it's smiling.
23:51It's funny that it got a lot of reactions from the netizens.
23:55According to the uploaded video, a concerned citizen turned over a flying lemur.
24:01After it was probably in good condition, it was also lost in the jungle.
