00:00You are one for definitely steering viral moments. We have to ask what makes you the
00:05self appointed king of R&B? Um, well, you know, when I say I'm the king R&B for my generation,
00:11I just feel like, you know, I'm the one that's been doing it the longest, stayed true to the
00:16culture of R&B. And I just been doing it for so long. I just turned 30 years old, April 15. I've
00:23been in the game since I was 15 years old. You know, that's 15 years. And a lot of people that
00:29grew up on my music, they, they, they really was like kids and not adults, you know, and it's so
00:36many moments in their life where my music is a part of it. So it's like, anytime they think of
00:40something, my music is a part of it. So for me, I'm like, man, you know, I'm the king of R&B for
00:46my generation, because I feel like I outlasted a lot of artists that came out when I came out,
00:51even artists that came out after me, I've outlasted, you know, in God, whatever they're
00:55doing now. But, you know, as far as this thing right here, you know, I feel like this is what
01:00I do. And I feel like I'm the king of it. And I say that to not be arrogant. But people gotta be
01:07confident. You know, if I was on a football team or a basketball team, there's no way I'm walking
01:12in an arena saying that I'm not the best. You know, like, I didn't grow up like that. Or I
01:17wasn't raised like that. You know, if you put yourself into something, you got to feel like
01:21you're the best. Because if you're not, then you won't be. So that's just where I put myself. And
01:26I feel like I'm a very confident person. And that's just what I believe. You know, anybody,
01:30everybody has their own opinion. You know, people can think whatever they want to think, believe
01:34what they want to believe. But as far as me, and the people that's around with me, that's what we
01:38believe. And that's what we're standing on. And that's just what it's going to be until I'm out
01:43the game. And even when I'm out the game, they still gonna say, whenever people talk about the
01:49King of R&B, Jacquees name is always gonna come up. You know what I'm saying? Exactly, exactly.
01:53And I have to say, I love your King of R&B album that came out when I was in college. And my I have
02:01to say my best friend and I were always like, this is out the ordinary. Always. I love it.
