00:00Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're looking at the most morphinominal threads donned by the teens with attitude in the TV series, comics, and movies.
00:09Yeah! Earth won, aliens nothing!
00:13Number 30. Solar Rangers, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
00:17Outside of space and time, there is a void without any connection to the Morphin Grid.
00:22But, utilizing the power of the Solarics, the void is guarded by its own team of rangers, the Solar Rangers.
00:28The two primary rangers, El-Orion and Remi, sport unique colors of purple and orange, respectively.
00:33Additionally, both suits are ordained with gold trimmings, a starry pattern to give them an extra stellar look, and helmets loosely inspired by the unadapted Sentai, Q-Ranger.
00:43When a ragtag team of familiar rangers enters the void, they get their own solar upgrades, plus some borrowed elements from their own suits to make their intergalactic makeover feel more personal.
00:54Number 29. Dino Fury Evil Blue Ranger, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
00:59Red doesn't suit you!
01:01Well, bitter isn't a good color on you!
01:03Using the Dino Fury outfits as a basis, the Cosmic Fury suits offered new unique colors and a new interstellar flair.
01:10Arguably, the one who got the coolest upgrade was Olly, while Lord Zedd brainwashed him.
01:15His diabolical makeover gave his Dino Fury ensemble a devious upgrade, complete with an intimidating shield with fierce shoulder pads, black gloves and boots, and a squid emblem on his belt to symbolize his new masters.
01:28You know, it'd be so easy to beat you. I wish you did have powers!
01:32His costume also turned a darker shade of blue to emphasize his new darker attitude.
01:37Overall, his new look painted him more like a war general, but once he was freed from Zedd's spell, he happily traded his evil threads to join his cosmic teammates.
01:47I've always been about the upgrades!
01:49Number 28. Squadron Rangers, Power Rangers Super Megaforce and Power Rangers Universe.
01:55Today, Ranger Mom!
01:56Bring on the new powers!
01:58One of Super Megaforce's more head-scratching decisions was introducing unadapted Sentai suits as new powers never seen on Earth.
02:06Thus, the Five-Men became the Supersonic Rangers, and the Dairangers became the Squadron Rangers.
02:13Final Strike!
02:17The Boom Studios took this concept and ran with it, giving the Squadron Rangers a much more in-depth backstory.
02:24This is good because it was a crime to leave the Dairanger suits untouched.
02:28With a nice balance of white, gold, and their primary colors, along with the helmets beautifully decorated to represent different mythical creatures.
02:36They even made their own Black Ranger to make the lineup feel more unique, showing the creative possibilities when giving unadapted Sentai suits a chance in the spotlight.
02:45Number 27. Overdrive Rangers, Power Rangers Operation Overdrive.
02:50We all know how divisive fan reactions to Operation Overdrive are, but if there's one thing most can agree on, it's how cool the suits turned out.
03:00The Core Five members share the same color scheme as the OG team, which makes sense given that it's a 15th anniversary season,
03:07with additional silver trimmings for a vibrant touch and stylish vehicular helmets.
03:12Obviously, the Mercury Ranger is the one who stands out the most, a unique blend of silver, orange, and blue with shoulder pads to really make his ensemble pop.
03:26Love or hate the season, there's no denying that the Overdrive Rangers treasure hunt was done with a sense of style.
03:32Number 26. Dimension X Rangers, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Slash Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2.
03:42Anyone can be a Power Ranger, so why not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?
03:47In the original crossover miniseries, our jaws dropped seeing the Turtles morph into Mighty Morphin Rangers, though it was only temporary.
03:55However, in the sequel miniseries, the Turtles, along with Casey and April, get a second chance at joining the battle as a new original fleet of Rangers, the Dimension X Rangers.
04:06Along with the colors being a better match for their respective Ranger, the suits give off an extreme cyber-warrior aesthetic, with the Turtles' shells adding an extra protective layer.
04:16It's a shame they had to return the morphers, as those suits were way too radical to give up.
04:21Number 25. 2017 Movie Rangers, Power Rangers In 2017, Lionsgate brought the Power Rangers back to the big screen with a cinematic retelling of Day of the Dumpster.
04:32Of course, with a modern reimagining comes new suits.
04:35While the dinosaur aesthetics of the original are reduced, the original colors are still alive and well, with the addition of glowing blue diamond chestplates emphasizing the Power's alien heritage.
04:47Additionally, as much as we love the classic spandex, the armor on these new dudes looks way more protective, which is helpful when dealing with a Rita Repulsa that isn't playing around.
05:00Speaking of, we get a brief shot of the Green Ranger, giving us a taste of what could have been if we ever got a sequel.
05:07Number 24. Dino Fury Rangers, Power Rangers Dino Fury Because dinosaurs worked so well the first three times, why not go for round four?
05:22While they follow the same color palette as Dino Charge, the six Dino Fury Rangers suits carry a more medieval flair.
05:29Along with a balance of gold, silver, and their primary colors, their visors are a creative combination of dinosaur teeth and a knight's helmet.
05:37Voight Knight especially carries the motif well with his heavily armored purple and silver equipment.
05:48But making the biggest fashion statement of the team is the Green Ranger Izzy, who deliberately rips her skirt off just because it doesn't fit her style.
05:56We could all learn a thing or two from her.
06:00Skirts aren't really my thing.
06:02Number 23. Lord Drakkon, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Undeniably, one of the comic's breakout stars was the evil counterpart to the great Tommy Oliver, Lord Drakkon.
06:13Drakkon's suit is a twisted amalgamation of his green and white ranger powers. Golden spikes along a green shield, fangs over the mouthpiece, and a piercing red visor.
06:24We see Drakkon's suit evolve throughout the series, stealing elements from other rangers' suits, donning a cape to symbolize his ultimate power, and even having half of his helmet damaged, representing his fractured mental state.
06:37No matter what changes, Drakkon's outfit is a symbol of a hero who's fallen from grace, a trait he tried sharing with his world's Kimberly, aka the Ranger Slayer.
06:48Number 22. Psycho Rangers, Power Rangers in Space One of the most terrifying ranger teams, the Psycho Rangers live up to their namesake, crazy obsessed with taking down their respective counterparts.
07:00Now we'll show you what a Psycho Ranger can do!
07:03Suffice it to say, their designs command ferocity and viciousness. Jaggedy shoulders and helmets, dark, piercing, eye-like visors, mouthpieces that look like beastly teeth, and a heavy emphasis on black.
07:17Of course, this ghastly ranger ensemble only covers up their true appearances, vile, multicolored monsters based on bugs, plants, and elements.
07:26The Psycho Ranger look was so iconic that the Space Rangers tried to copy it with their own fake Psycho Silver, and the Boom Studio comic created Psycho Green, who is just as menacing and destructive as his TV counterparts, maybe even more so.
07:41Number 21. Hyperforce Rangers, Power Rangers Hyperforce, and Power Rangers Unlimited Hyperforce.
07:47Power Rangers Hyperforce was an actual play web series where a few familiar well-known faces act out an original ranger season with their respective characters.
07:56The Hyperforce team appeared in spinoff material and even got their own spotlight in the Boom Studios comic.
08:02From the concept art alone, these rangers feel fresh out of the show itself, taking inspiration from SPD and Time Force.
08:09The suits balance black with the rangers' primary colors, with the much appreciated addition of silver shoulder pads.
08:16The helmets especially stand out with the Greek mythology aesthetic, and the lineup's color choice pays homage to the original Mighty Morphin team, especially with the Green Ranger.
08:26Number 20. Omega Rangers Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Saban's Go-Go Power Rangers, and Power Rangers.
08:33When Jason, Zack, and Trini left for their new mission in outer space in the comics, they, along with their new ally Kia, were given a whole new set of powers as the Omega Rangers.
08:43The suits for this new team are more alchemic-based, a medieval-styled flair with golden gauntlets for their morphers.
08:50The costumes are equal in design, each with a very nice blend of each ranger's respective colors, gold and dark gray.
08:56However, there's a clever little touch to make every suit unique.
08:59Each helmet has a distinct stone on his or her helmet that symbolizes their respective element, earth, air, fire, and water.
09:06So wait, is this Power Rangers or Avatar The Last Airbender?
09:09Number 19. Beast Morphers Rangers Power Rangers, Beast Morphers
09:16Once Hasbro took the reins of the franchise, they brought with them some new innovations to the ranger ensemble with Beast Morphers.
09:24Gone are the days of colorful spandex, now replaced with colorful biker leather, a material never previously used for the costumes.
09:32Unleash the beast!
09:33The helmets, each one resembling their respective animal spirits, also have metallic-colored visors that almost look like sunglasses,
09:40giving the rangers a very Secret Agent-like vibe to go with their leathery new duds.
09:44Stop!
09:46What's he doing?
09:54However, there's still one thing that doesn't make sense to us.
09:57Why call the Gold Ranger's animal spirit a mantis when he's clearly designed after a beetle?
10:02Phenomenal! The mantis DNA worked!
10:05Number 18. Ninja Steel Rangers Power Rangers, Ninja Steel, and Power Rangers, Super Ninja Steel
10:12What are those?
10:13They're the Ninja Power Stars.
10:15While the actual ninja theme of Ninja Steel was toned down, the suits stood out in the flashiest of ways.
10:20Check it out! It's some kind of mystical metamorphosis!
10:24Each ranger's helmet visor is modeled after their respective ninja power star,
10:28and the core five members each come with a colorful sash worn outside the suit rather than embedded into it.
10:34However, taking the boldest fashion choice of the team is Levi, the Gold Ranger.
10:38Rhythm of the ninja! Ninja Steel Gold!
10:46As a country-western musician, his ranger ensemble comes fitted with a cowboy hat-like helmet and poncho,
10:51alluding to the classic gunslingers of the old west.
10:54Couple that with the shogun-like Lion Fire armor, and you have a stylish farewell to the Neo-Saban era.
11:00Lion Fire Sprint!
11:04Number 17. Lightspeed Rescue Rangers Power Rangers, Lightspeed Rescue
11:09After a long journey through space, it's time to return to Earth with a new team of rangers
11:13assembled by the government, the Lightspeed Rescue Team.
11:22Lightspeed Rescue
11:27While the colorful hazard-striped suits aren't particularly exciting,
11:31the season brought with it two major innovations to the franchise, costume-wise.
11:37The first being the retractable visors, which opened a whole new door to emoting without needing to take off their helmets.
11:43I hope you don't think you're taking this money. I earned it.
11:46What?
11:47The second, and most notable, is the very first non-Sentai-based ranger, the Titanium Ranger.
12:01Titanium Ranger?
12:03With his gleaming silver suit and gold trims, stripes, and shoulder pads,
12:07he easily stands out among the other rescue rangers in the best ways.
12:11Number 16. Ranger Operators Power Rangers, RPM
12:15Yes, even a season as dark as RPM feels incomplete without colorful spandex.
12:20That is not spandex!
12:22Er, I mean, not spandex.
12:24Whatever you want to call it, the Ranger Operators series suits are inspired by a unique blend of animals and vehicles.
12:37The helmets take inspiration from each ranger's respective Zord animal,
12:41with embedded spinning wheels and turbines on the side that rotate at a lightning-fast speed.
12:53The suits also embrace the vehicular aesthetic with straps along the torsos that vaguely resemble seatbelts and safety harnesses,
12:59along with wheels-slash-gears on the gloves and boots that spin as fast as real tires and can be handy in combat.
13:11Turbo Cannon!
13:13Functional and uniquely designed.
13:15But are we really sure it's not spandex?
13:18Could you please tell me, where do you get your spandex?
13:21That is not spandex!
13:24Number 15. Dino Charge Rangers Power Rangers Dino Charge and Power Rangers Dino Super Charge
13:30What's happening?
13:31I don't know. Look out!
13:34What in the world?
13:36Dino Charge and Dino Super Charge saw a return to the franchise's roots of dinosaur-themed rangers,
13:41but brought a new sense of style to the legacy.
13:48For starters, with ten rangers on one team, you have a bigger variety of colors.
13:52Except, surprisingly, for a yellow ranger, unless you count Ivan the Gold Ranger.
13:56Unleash the power!
14:01Wow! We look great together!
14:03In addition, their visors are modeled after their respective dino's mouths,
14:07and their torsos are decorated with teeth like a sash, with at least one shoulder pad for added flair.
14:12T-Rex Super Charge Morpher!
14:14Dino Charger, engage!
14:17Activate!
14:18Tyler's T-Rex Super Charge mode also adds an extra zing with a carnival-like aesthetic that is guaranteed to make the battle get wild.
14:26I'm not done yet! T-Rex Super Charge Kick!
14:30Number 14. Zeo Rangers. Power Rangers Zeo.
14:40Let's jump back a bit in time to examine the Zeo Rangers, who are all decked out in your basic 80's punk band ensemble.
14:47Power Rangers Zeo!
14:50They scaled back the complexity of the helmets, preferring just a smooth, egg-like head protector with a twist.
14:56They have shapes for their visors.
15:00They're amazing, Billy!
15:02Each shape represents their ranger number by the number of sides they have.
15:10Get it? The Red Ranger is Zeo Ranger 5, and his star has... never mind.
15:14All in all, a striking ensemble sure to leave your enemies blinded by sheer awesome.
15:19Right, guys?
15:20Right!
15:21Power Rangers Zeo!
15:24Number 13. Turbo Rangers. Power Rangers Turbo.
15:29I've never felt anything like this!
15:31RPM showcased some interesting automobile-themed designs, but it wasn't the first Power Rangers series to do so.
15:37In Power Rangers Turbo, we see the rangers ride around in souped-up vehicles, sporting outfits that got overhauled for a race car design.
15:44Alright, guys. This is it. You guys ready?
15:46Ready!
15:47Plenty of black trim, and the helmets have a little additional design in chrome silver, just like actual cars.
15:52Kat! Are you okay?
15:53Yeah, okay enough to teach Fangface to keep his mouth shut.
15:56Perhaps the more controversial design choice was the inclusion of what looked like a high-visibility reflector on the chests,
16:03something that worked in the Japanese series Car Ranger.
16:06The only scene you're gonna play is you leaving the planet permanently!
16:09It'll never fly!
16:11Number 12. Jungle Fury Rangers.
16:14By harnessing their animal spirits, the Jungle Fury Rangers are well-armed to reflect their respective martial arts style and animal.
16:21Jungle Beast! Spirit Unleashed!
16:23The main trio is dressed aerodynamically with their unique feline stripes and spots, and no belts.
16:29Just wait until you see them literally flying with built-in jets in Jungle Master mode.
16:34Meanwhile, the Wolf Ranger has a very kickboxer-like motif with metallic wrist and ankle wraps,
16:44while the Rhino Ranger sports a Japanese karate robe-like ensemble, complete with a literal black belt.
16:53And finally, the Wolf Ranger has a very...
16:57Japanese karate robe-like ensemble, complete with a literal black belt.
17:06The ones who really take the cake, however, are the Spirit Rangers.
17:18With their completely unique designs, they practically revolutionized the US-exclusive Ranger suit game.
17:24Number 11. Space Rangers.
17:26Power Rangers in Space.
17:27Red!
17:28Blue!
17:29Yellow!
17:30Pink!
17:31Black!
17:32This cosmic iteration of the Power Rangers picked up where Turbo left off, with the Rangers now sporting some appropriate space suits.
17:38They use the same color palette as the original series, but with color boxes along the front of their torso, like rank in the army.
17:44This isn't over. I know Astronema, and she won't give up that easily.
17:48The Sixth Ranger also saw the first use of a silver outfit, but this style ditches the colored boxes in favor of... computer chips?
17:55Whatever it is you just said, I'm gonna make you eat your words!
17:59They also have these weird orb things on their helmets, which were features used in the show's Japanese counterpart, Mega Ranger, to display their symbols.
18:06But here, they're basically sunroofs for your helmet.
18:09Go Rangers! Yeah!
18:11Number 10. Galaxy Rangers.
18:13Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.
18:18As the Zordon era ends, a new chapter begins, as we follow the Lost Galaxy Rangers through the deepest recesses of space.
18:24First, the elephant in the room. Not everyone is crazy about the Charlie Brown stripes on the plain white torso for the main five Rangers.
18:43We admit it's a little distracting, but the nicely sculpted helmets make up for the rest of the suit's plainness.
18:48Who's that?
18:51Of course, the one who really steals the show costume-wise is the Magna Defender.
18:55Fully protected in plated majestic armor like the intergalactic knight that he is.
19:06Also, he gets extra bonus points for being the very first Ranger to don a cape.
19:10Capes are cool, enough said.
19:16Number 9. Super Megaforce Rangers.
19:18Power Rangers Super Megaforce.
19:32Not since Mighty Morphin has there been such a brazen disregard for the English language.
19:37Power Rangers Super Megaforce.
19:39There's a simple explanation for that.
19:46But what's new here? Well, the theme according to the title is totally unclear, but as for the outfits, they're going for a pirate look.
19:58That means high-top boots with folded rims, that means skull and crossbones on the chest, and that means popped collars for all.
20:05Oh, and everyone gets a Captain Jack Sparrow peacoat and dainty white gloves.
20:13Number 8. Dino Thunder Rangers. Power Rangers Dino Thunder.
20:25From day one, Power Rangers had the whole dinosaur angle covered, but this series really drives the point home.
20:31You can do it.
20:33Okay, let's do it!
20:34You like dinosaurs? Well, we've got them.
20:36They have stripes down the sides, dinosaur prints on the chest, and gold trim all over.
20:41Their helmets are a lot like the originals, but sleeker, more streamlined.
20:45Though the standout design has got to go to the White Ranger.
20:48With a terrifying red visor and a tooth-like black and white design, he's definitely someone you don't want to meet in a back alley.
20:55White Dragosword.
20:58Laser Arrows.
20:59Number 7. Wild Force Rangers. Power Rangers Wild Force.
21:03I'm the Red Lion Ranger, and your rampage ends here!
21:06This tenth iteration of Rangers remained faithful to the Super Sentai version, right down to the morphing sequence.
21:11I'm the Yellow Eagle Ranger, and Wild Force never gives up!
21:18This year's Ranger outfit comes complete with gold bands across the chest, and just like Zio, said gold bars represent their Ranger number.
21:26Meet the Black Bison Ranger! Prepare to be stomped!
21:31This time around, White is the new Pink, although her skirt and collar retain some pink strips. No comment there.
21:37Thanks for asking! Tiger Ranger!
21:40Yeah! Wild Force!
21:43Also, animal helmets. That's where the budget went. These helmets come with their own specific animal designs.
21:50White Eagle! Lion! Shark! Tiger!
21:53Number 6. Space Patrol Delta B Squad Rangers. Power Rangers S.P.D.
22:01Now we're really on to something. These B-Squad suits were tailor-made and form-fitting, like a superhero should have.
22:07Let's get this party started!
22:09You're on!
22:10S.P.D. Red!
22:14As for the helmets, they brought back the silver mouthpiece, but omitted the weird lip molds.
22:19Half of the torso is now black, and once again, they're all numbered.
22:22Space Patrol Delta!
22:25Oh yeah?
22:31Get them!
22:33We also got the badass-looking SWAT gear, which gives the suits a military aesthetic.
22:38Oh, and given the police theme of the show, the suits have flashing lights galore.
22:42Special weapons and tactics!
22:46Number 5. Mighty Morphin Rangers. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
22:50You're monkeying me! And you're going down!
22:53That's right, so get ready, ape-faced! Let's get them!
22:56Blue Ranger, ready!
22:57Pink Ranger, ready!
22:58Yellow Ranger!
22:59Yeah, Yellow Ranger!
23:00A lot of you might be surprised not to see this one as number one just by sheer popularity, but this isn't a popularity contest.
23:06It's a fashion show. With sparks and lasers.
23:09Release Maria and the Power Eggs!
23:12Let's do it!
23:14Okay, so let's get into this.
23:16Crazy cool helmets with silver mouthpiece molds.
23:19Giant diamond shapes on the front.
23:21Cool dinosaur designs on the top.
23:23What's not to like?
23:24Back off, Fang Face!
23:25The good guys are here! Get off our planet!
23:28Cause we're the Power Rangers! And we're not backing down!
23:31Everyone gets a pair of knee-high boots to facilitate ass-kicking.
23:35But come on, we all wanted to be the Green Ranger as a kid with that sweet-looking over-shield, don't lie.
23:40You won't know what hit him, Jason! Let's take him!
23:44Number four, Ninja Storm Rangers.
23:47Power Rangers Ninja Storm.
23:53Ninja Ranger power!
23:55Let's do it!
23:56Ninja Storm blends the classic ranger attire with, you guessed it, ninjas.
24:04Alright, boys. Step aside. On your left.
24:10All in the wrist.
24:11The helmet visors are shaped like the classic representation of a ninja,
24:14and they can even retract to reveal the ranger's faces.
24:17That really just happened, right?
24:18I'm pretty sure it did.
24:20However, on top of the cool design, what makes this one stand out
24:23is that the team is actually formed from two different ranger teams.
24:26The Wind Rangers with the grey sleeves and leggings,
24:29and the Thunder Rangers with the gold shoulder pads and knee guards.
24:32You want an idea? How about give up?
24:35Trust us, it will be much less painful that way.
24:39And, just like the original series,
24:41the sixth Green Ranger brings back the gold overshield.
24:44Not in this lifetime, sucker!
24:50Number three, Time Force Rangers.
24:52Power Rangers Time Force.
24:54Time Force! Time Force!
24:56Power Rangers!
24:59These outfits are a classic example of looking stylish while fighting.
25:03Good idea. Here goes nothing.
25:09With a futuristic theme,
25:11their visors are completely covered by a downward arrow shape.
25:14Contrary to popular belief, however,
25:16the actors had no trouble seeing out of them,
25:18as they're actually tinted visors.
25:20This time you won't get away, frantic!
25:22And while other suits have incorporated their morphers into the suits
25:25in the past as subtly as a Walkman,
25:27here they fit like a stylish watch,
25:29which just so happens to blend well with silver bracers over the forearms.
25:33Kind of like Wonder Woman, but way cooler.
25:35Listen and learn, Brickneck.
25:37I'm not just any ranger.
25:39Not by a long shot.
25:41I am the Quantum Ranger!
25:44Number two, Samurai Rangers.
25:46Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Super Samurai.
25:52Man, your new uniform looks awesome!
25:54Sweet!
25:55Yeah, dude! You look super!
25:57Say what you want about Samurai and Super Samurai,
26:00but what they lacked in writing, they made up for with their suits.
26:03Along with the slick highlighted boots and robe-like torsos,
26:06the rangers are decorated with visors modeled after Japanese kanji,
26:10modeled after each ranger's respective element.
26:12He's the one that got away!
26:14That's fine. This time we'll finish him off!
26:18Should the need arise, one of the rangers can go Super Samurai or Shark Attack mode,
26:23which gives them an elegant white or red two-tailed cloak with dazzling golden highlights.
26:28Nighlok, you're about to meet the Super Samurai!
26:31Even in the Zord cockpits, the rangers are well-dressed,
26:34with protective armor plating inspired by the 1995 Ranger movie suits,
26:39and, occasionally, the heavily decorated all-powerful Shogun mode.
26:43Shogun mode!
26:45Power to the Ancestors!
26:49Why couldn't we see this mode in battle more often?

27:12She said we know when to use our wands! I think this is the time!
27:15You think?!
27:16Fans swarmed the originalists' comment section about the Mystic Force costumes,
27:20and it's easy to see why.
27:28Hi-ya!
27:34Hi-ya!
27:37The Core 5 suits carry a refined wizardly motif,
27:40with a perfect balance of white and color,
27:42helmet visors modeled after mythical creatures, and capes.
27:46Capes are awesome. Just ask Chip.
27:48Hi-ya!
27:51Meanwhile, Solaris Knight and Wolf Warrior are heavily armored,
27:54like the brave and noble knights that they are,
