Transcript
00:00HAL MFC have seen their average home attendance double since the pandemic
00:04and this is what club chairman Richard Pillinger has put it down to.
00:10The increased attendance has ultimately given a fantastic atmosphere for everybody to enjoy
00:16also it gives us a chance to put a bit of money to improving the facilities
00:21for the players and the fans on matchdays for their better experiences.
00:26HAL MFC play their home games here at Sandygate and have done since 1860.
00:32It is known by the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest football stadium in the world
00:36with HAL MFC being the second oldest football club in the world.
00:41And whilst the bigger crowds are certainly helping off the pitch
00:44they're also helping on the pitch that's according to assistant manager Rob Poulter.
00:50It sort of drives you on and I think at a club like HALM where obviously the crowds have been
00:54sort of really good it's helped us perform definitely.
00:58And if that's the case you could see HALM FC add into this trophy cabinet sooner rather than later.
