00:00Are you watching the debate tonight, and if so, how?
00:03I look forward to watching the debate.
00:06There are several gatherings that members of the House Democratic Caucus will be holding,
00:15including one being held by the Congressional Black Caucus that I plan to stop by this evening.
00:22What do you make of the political fighting going on on the floor right now when it comes to amendments on these spending bills,
00:32ranging from defunding Ukraine, cutting Mayorkas' salary?
00:36There was even one that didn't make it to the floor to oppose IVF.
00:41The extreme Republican majority is not serious about governing.
00:48They are serious about jamming their reckless far-right ideology down the throats of the American people.
00:57We've seen it from the very beginning of this Congress, and it has not let up, and it never will,
01:06because the House Republican Conference is completely and totally out of control.
01:10They needed Democrats to step in to save them from themselves and plunging this Congress into further dysfunction,
01:20and every single major piece of legislation that has moved forward in this Congress has done so
01:27because of majority support from House Democrats.
01:32That's the way it's been. That's the way it's going to be until the end of the 118th Congress.
