00:00Where do things stand with George and the Warriors?
00:03Yeah, Paul George is pretty much the biggest domino in all of NBA free
00:06agency.
00:06What he there's probably going to be a bunch of stuff that gets held up over
00:10the next two or three days until Paul makes up his up his mind just to be
00:14clear what making up his mind means.
00:17He's got three choices one.
00:18He can resign with the Clippers.
00:19He can do that.
00:20Now.
00:20He's not under any obligation to wait until into July.
00:23He can resign this afternoon or at least commit to resign this afternoon
00:27to he's got an option in his contract.
00:29For one year and about 48 million dollars and he has until tomorrow to
00:33pick that up.
00:34If he picks that up, it almost certainly means he's selected a team.
00:38He wants to go to and he wants the Clippers to trade him there.
00:41This has happened a handful of times in the last decade in the NBA and it's
00:46complicated because not only do you have to have a team that you want to go
00:48to and a team that would pay what you want, but then you got to work out a
00:51trade, but that is been what you know, his his his operation his representation
00:57has been investigating in recent days and then three can wait till Sunday at
01:01six o'clock Eastern and become an unrestricted free agent and sign with
01:05whoever he wants on starting on Sunday night.
01:08The 76 years being the prime example there.
01:10The 76 years can't get him, you know, until basically Sunday.
01:14So those three true choices, but that covers a lot of ground.
01:17So you have said the Philadelphia Philadelphia's got 50 some 58 million or
01:20something in salary count space all the guys that they may look at if Paul
01:24George walks.
01:24They keep those guys are frozen.
01:26They're going to wait the Sixers got to wait to say would see what Paul does.
01:29So those guys are going to wait the other teams that would be their backups
01:32are going to have to wait.
01:33So there's a cavalcade of free agents waiting for the on the Philly vein.
01:36If you look at the Clippers, they got James Harden sitting out there.
01:40Like, you know, if Paul George walks on them, you got to reevaluate whether
01:44you want James Harden back because if you let Harden go all of a sudden,
01:47you're operating as a cap space team and your opportunities go huge and you
01:51may be retrofitting your whole roster.
01:53They also could just resign Harden and take Harden and Kawhi going forward,
01:56but that's the thing that you've got the Warriors.

02:01That is Paul George related that affects a Hall of Famer and that's Chris
02:05Paul Chris Paul had until tonight.
02:07I think at midnight for the Warriors to pick up his 30 million dollar option

02:13They have agreed mutually with Chris to push that deadline back.
