The Organisation for the Rescue and Research of Cetaceans in Australia (ORRCA) Whale Census Day was held on Sunday, June 30. Volunteers were at Port Macquarie's Tacking Point Lighthouse to record whales migrating north.

00:00Today, we're probably only up to just below 200 whales.
00:29For the last week, the numbers have been dropping for some unknown reason.
00:34Usually, this time of the year, we're pushing up to 400, 500 or more.
00:38But who knows, tomorrow could change or whatever.
00:42And I've noticed that the amount of babies we've had come past what we had last year were way down on the calves we've seen.
