00:00:00As-salāmu ʿalaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuhu.
00:00:07Bismillāhi r-Rahmāni r-Rahīm.
00:00:13Al-ḥamdu liLlāhi rabbi l-'ālamīn.
00:00:18Wa bihi nista'īn.
00:00:24As-salātu wa-s-salāmu ʿalá ashrafi l-anbiyā'i wa-s-sayyidi l-mursalīn
00:00:33wa ʿalá ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi
00:00:38wa man tabi'ahum bi-iḥsānin ilá yawmi d-dīn ammā baʿd.
00:00:47A'ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm.
00:00:53Yā ayyuhal-lazīna āmanū qū anfusakum wa-ahlīkum nārā.
00:01:03O believers, save yourselves and your families from the fire of hell.
00:01:18Imam Mujahid ibn Jabr, may Allah have mercy on him,
00:01:26A'ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm.
00:01:29Yā ayyuhal-lazīna āmanū qū anfusakum wa-ahlīkum nārā.
00:01:34A'ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm.
00:01:37Yā ayyuhal-lazīna āmanū qū anfusakum wa-ahlīkum nārā.
00:01:45Save yourselves and your families from the fire of hell.
00:01:53And teach yourself and your family the etiquettes and manners.
00:02:02The etiquettes and manners are the beautiful attitude of human life,
00:02:10through which human life becomes beautiful,
00:02:19becomes blessed,
00:02:23and its culture, civilization, and civilization becomes prosperous.
00:02:31That is why the righteous try to beautify their life with etiquettes and manners.
00:02:44And what the narrator has said is not exaggerated.
00:02:50It is absolutely correct.
00:02:53The nation which does not have etiquettes and manners,
00:03:01that nation is not really a nation of humans.
00:03:11Rather, that nation is a herd of animals,
00:03:20which you can take wherever you want, whenever you want, and as you wish.
00:03:29This is the reason that even after attaining dozens of degrees,
00:03:38you and I are seen to be deficient in etiquettes and manners.
00:03:47The etiquettes of sitting and standing,
00:03:51the etiquettes of conversation,
00:03:54and even the etiquettes of eating and drinking,
00:03:59sometimes we are seen to be so far and distant,
00:04:04that if any civilized person,
00:04:08the owner of civilization and culture,
00:04:12if he sees them, he will feel ashamed,
00:04:16that these are the people who have knowledge and wisdom.
00:04:24And this was the distinction of the companions, may Allah be pleased with them and please them,
00:04:33that in their life,
00:04:37the way they ascended to the divine,
00:04:41and their life was blessed,
00:04:44it was because of the etiquettes and manners which the Prophet taught them.
00:04:53Not only did he teach them,
00:04:56he showed them,
00:04:59taught them,
00:05:01and made them practice it as well.
00:05:07This is the reason that even if the enemy saw them,
00:05:11he would have recognized them,
00:05:14that this person is not an ordinary person.
00:05:19The amount of violence in the society,
00:05:24the amount of mischief,
00:05:28and the amount of indifference in the society,
00:05:33where the reason for it is ignorance,
00:05:37sometimes there is ignorance of knowledge as well,
00:05:42that we know, we are educated,
00:05:45but that corner of education has become weak,
00:05:49or the effort to make that corner better has not been made.
00:05:54As a result, those scholarly things,
00:05:59those bookish things,
00:06:02those intellectual things,
00:06:05they are experts in doing and listening,
00:06:09but in presenting them practically,
00:06:14they do not seem to be successful.
00:06:20Being a Muslim, you and I need to learn those Islamic etiquettes,
00:06:29so that our religion, our world, becomes bright.
00:06:38And after that, we teach our children those etiquettes,
00:06:45after learning those etiquettes,
00:06:48where their lives are bright,
00:06:52where they become a guide for those who see and meet them.
00:07:00So in today's first session,
00:07:03which is the first session of the course on the etiquettes of life,
00:07:08in this we will discuss a few points.
00:07:12The topic of our discussion will be those ten basic points,
00:07:21from which we will at least be able to understand
00:07:26what is etiquette,
00:07:29what is the greatness of Islam,
00:07:34and along with that,
00:07:37after the greatness of Islam,
00:07:41how can every individual in a society be made unique?
00:07:48How can a serious nation be formed?
00:07:54How can a sensible society be organized?
00:08:00And by combining knowledge and etiquette,
00:08:05how can the desires of high status and rank be fulfilled,
00:08:13which the companions, followers of the great ones,
00:08:18followers of the followers, and the righteous ones,
00:08:21were given by Allah the Almighty.
00:08:25That people yearn to see them,
00:08:29they yearn to sit with them,
00:08:32to get a chance.
00:08:35They desire to meet them.
00:08:39Because of what?
00:08:41Because of their piety and righteousness.
00:08:45Because of their etiquette.
00:08:49Because of the qualities and qualities that they had,
00:08:54this yearning and yearning of the people was there,
00:09:00and remained there till the last breath of their life.
00:09:05In fact, we consider it a great blessing
00:09:09to get a chance to spend some time with such a person.
00:09:17That is why it is important that we understand
00:09:21that this forgotten lesson
00:09:24which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
00:09:27taught the companions,
00:09:30we also have to give it to the society today.
00:09:34If we are true in our desire
00:09:38that an exemplary society should be established,
00:09:42a serious community should be established,
00:09:46a young generation,
00:09:49a new generation,
00:09:52an exemplary generation should arise,
00:09:55and they should leave their morals,
00:09:58their religion,
00:10:01and their etiquette and manners to the world.
00:10:05For that,
00:10:07adopting the manners of life
00:10:10which the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
00:10:13taught them,
00:10:15understanding them,
00:10:17and then implementing them in their individual lives
00:10:21and in their collective lives,
00:10:24this is the only way
00:10:27that we will be able to fulfill our desires.
00:10:34Allama Abu Irfan Muhammad bin Ali Sabban
00:10:40has summarized these ten things in three verses.
00:10:47No matter how much you learn about the world,
00:10:52until you are familiar with ten things about it,
00:10:57you will not be able to fulfill the right of that knowledge.
00:11:01This is the reason that today,
00:11:04people associated with education know
00:11:07that sometimes people study for six years.
00:11:11They do not know what are the well-known books of this art.
00:11:17If we want to know the details of this knowledge,
00:11:21then which books will we find?
00:11:24They are not even aware of this.
00:11:27Just a few pages of that book,
00:11:30a few months of that book,
00:11:32they listened to it.
00:11:34As they listened, time passed,
00:11:36the exam was over, and they were free.
00:11:39So to understand any knowledge in depth,
00:11:44this is the basis of it.
00:12:14There are ten things in every knowledge.
00:12:19There are ten fundamental things in every art and every knowledge.
00:12:25The limit is the definition of that knowledge.
00:12:30The subject is the subject of that knowledge.
00:12:35Then the fruits.
00:12:38First of all, what are the fruits and benefits of that knowledge?
00:12:44What are its benefits?
00:12:47What is the relationship of that knowledge?
00:12:51What is its importance?
00:12:53What is its status?
00:12:55And what is the virtue of that knowledge?
00:13:00And the clear thing is,
00:13:03in the form of the proofs of this knowledge,
00:13:06those who presented this knowledge as a gift,
00:13:09who were the first lucky ones
00:13:12who compiled this knowledge?
00:13:16And what are the names of this knowledge in the world today?
00:13:26And what are the sources of this knowledge?
00:13:32If we want to learn something about this knowledge,
00:13:35from where will we find it?
00:13:39The rule of Sharia.
00:13:42If this is such an important knowledge,
00:13:45then what is the rule of Sharia of Allah?
00:13:50And what guidance has the Prophet given about it?
00:13:57And the tenth thing is,
00:13:59what are the issues of this knowledge?
00:14:10Some people learn a few things and are satisfied with them.
00:14:16And they think that this is enough.
00:14:20Indar-ul-jami'a haad-ul-sharaf.
00:14:25If someone wants to go into the depth of a knowledge,
00:14:30and wants to learn it properly,
00:14:33then he gets introduced to these ten things.
00:14:36He gets introduced.
00:14:39And such a person is honoured
00:14:42who with great accuracy,
00:14:45satisfaction,
00:14:48and determination,
00:14:50takes something according to the principle,
00:14:53that this is the principle, and I have to learn it this way.
00:14:58So in today's gathering,
00:15:01we will present these ten things,
00:15:03through which the etiquette of life,
00:15:06Islamic etiquette,
00:15:08religious etiquette,
00:15:10and their greatness and importance,
00:15:13their benefits and benefits,
00:15:15will be revealed to all of us.
00:15:18So let's come to the first point.
00:15:21What is etiquette?
00:15:26Adbu-adab,
00:15:29in the Arabic language,
00:15:31is from adub-yadub-adaban.
00:15:35In people's perspective,
00:15:38adbu-adab means,
00:15:41intelligence.
00:15:43Learning such things,
00:15:45through which a person's behaviour,
00:15:48comes in front of people,
00:15:51and they say that he is a very intelligent person.
00:15:55Adab also means knowledge and discipline.
00:16:00That a person should have such etiquette,
00:16:04which becomes the slogan of his knowledge and discipline.
00:16:09That yes, he is indeed an educated person.
00:16:13His habits are so beautiful.
00:16:17Discipline and modesty is also the meaning of adab.
00:16:22That the discipline should be so beautiful,
00:16:26that in the light of that hadith,
00:16:29the saints of Allah,
00:16:31who when they see Allah,
00:16:35The saints of Allah are those,
00:16:38who when they see Allah,
00:16:40they remember Allah.
00:16:42Their beautiful behaviour,
00:16:44their words,
00:16:46their character,
00:16:49and their habits and qualities,
00:16:52make the person who sees them,
00:16:55remember Allah.
00:16:57Good manners,
00:17:00and good discipline,
00:17:02this is also the meaning of adab.
00:17:05So adab is such a blessing,
00:17:08through which a person has a beautiful way of living.
00:17:15You must have heard the word,
00:17:18adab-i-kalaam.
00:17:21What does adab-i-kalaam mean?
00:17:24It is such a polite and polite word,
00:17:29It is so polite,
00:17:32it is so beautiful,
00:17:34that the listener enjoys it.
00:17:37So a person who has good manners,
00:17:42he makes his life and character,
00:17:45shine.
00:17:48In Arabic language,
00:17:50a word with adab is called,
00:17:52ta'deeb.
00:17:54Adab,
00:17:55yu'deebu,
00:17:56ta'deeb.
00:17:58Teaching good manners,
00:18:02teaching good manners,
00:18:05showing good manners,
00:18:08making a person polite and polite,
00:18:13You have seen,
00:18:16that in human life,
00:18:18there are not just one, but many,
00:18:20when there is good manners,
00:18:22good things come out of it.
00:18:25In fact, how many of you would be sitting like this,
00:18:29that you have made a standard for yourself.
00:18:35If you want to keep someone as an employee,
00:18:38you don't recruit them.
00:18:40Who is there who can fulfill the right responsibility?
00:18:45You get dozens of people,
00:18:48but in the light of your standards,
00:18:51you make choices.
00:18:54Selected person,
00:18:56the one who is close to you,
00:18:58you make him your right-hand man.
00:19:01So the meaning of adab is,
00:19:04that a person should include such attitudes in his life,
00:19:10which are selected,
00:19:13which are appreciable,
00:19:16which a person should appreciate,
00:19:20and should not live without appreciating.
00:19:24This is why the scholars say,
00:19:27etiquette and adab,
00:19:30were among the fundamental responsibilities of the Prophets.
00:19:36What kind of people were they in Mecca?
00:19:39The source of all the evil in the world.
00:19:43All the evil that can be,
00:19:45before Islam,
00:19:46were all evil.
00:19:48But what was the principle and rule,
00:19:53that when the Prophet,
00:19:56brought them up,
00:19:58they became so polite,
00:20:01that the one who saw them,
00:20:02was left speechless.
00:20:05The one who saw them,
00:20:06did not live without accepting the greatness of Islam.
00:20:10What kind of attitude was that?
00:20:12It was the same attitude,
00:20:14which today,
00:20:16is remembered with Islamic etiquette.
00:20:20In the Arabic language,
00:20:22along with etiquette and discipline,
00:20:24a third word is also used.
00:20:26Ta'adub.
00:20:28What is ta'adub?
00:20:30The behavior,
00:20:32which is appropriate,
00:20:34which is compatible with the past.
00:20:38The ways of life,
00:20:42and the values,
00:20:44which a person adopts,
00:20:47which in every aspect of society,
00:20:50according to his needs,
00:20:52he fulfills them.
00:20:56Today, on small things,
00:20:58houses break down.
00:21:00Sometimes a person objects,
00:21:03I thought that a housewife would be educated.
00:21:07She was not even taught,
00:21:11that the spoon for food,
00:21:13is included in the tea,
00:21:15and there is a separate spoon for it.
00:21:17Who has to teach this?
00:21:19The mother has to teach.
00:21:21She should know,
00:21:23that when I am talking,
00:21:25who is in front of me?
00:21:26It is the mother.
00:21:27In front of me is the father.
00:21:29She should know,
00:21:31that there is a difference between parents and ordinary people.
00:21:36There is a difference between small and big.
00:21:39Elders are always given respect.
00:21:42They respect them,
00:21:45and show kindness to the younger ones.
00:21:47That is why the Prophet said,
00:21:51this difference is over today.
00:21:54The one who has read two to four words,
00:21:58his ability to lift someone's turban,
00:22:01diminishes.
00:22:04The one who has learned two to four words,
00:22:08his ability to misbehave with parents,
00:22:12is considered to be the highest ability of debate.
00:22:15But what does the Shariah say?
00:22:18The one who does not know how to respect elders,
00:22:28the one who does not know how to show kindness to the younger ones,
00:22:33the Prophet of Allah said,
00:22:36What is my relation with him?
00:22:38He is not from my Ummah.
00:22:41On one hand, he speaks with pride and arrogance,
00:22:45that I can answer anyone.
00:22:48Freedom of opinion.
00:22:50I can say whatever I want.
00:22:52You should not call it freedom.
00:22:54You should call it mental and intellectual laziness.
00:22:58Didn't the companions have this freedom?
00:23:02Didn't the followers have this freedom,
00:23:04that they could express their opinion?
00:23:06But if they had expressed their opinion,
00:23:08they would have done it with respect,
00:23:12so that the opinion would have come,
00:23:14and there would have been no difference in respect.
00:23:20That is why,
00:23:22the one who gives training,
00:23:25the one who teaches etiquette,
00:23:27is called a teacher.
00:23:29Such a teacher,
00:23:31such a teacher of etiquette,
00:23:34who takes each and every attitude,
00:23:37from small attitudes,
00:23:39to the highest level of thought,
00:23:42totally polishes it.
00:23:44This purification and beautification procedure,
00:23:50and the effort to take a person to the level of excellence,
00:23:55is the work of a teacher.
00:23:58It is the work of a teacher.
00:24:00Think about it.
00:24:02Sayyiduna Ismail A.S.
00:24:06His father is far away from him.
00:24:09Who taught him this etiquette?
00:24:12That after a long time, his father comes,
00:24:14and says,
00:24:15Son, I want to kill you. I have seen you in a dream.
00:24:18What does the son say?
00:24:20Father, kill me.
00:24:22Think about it for a moment.
00:24:24If we say to our son,
00:24:26that I want to kill you,
00:24:28will he listen?
00:24:30Who taught him this etiquette?
00:24:33He was not a father when he was young.
00:24:40He has become such a great Imam.
00:24:43That is why,
00:24:44Imam Shafi is called the Imam of principles.
00:24:47Who taught him this etiquette?
00:24:50What kind of a mother would she be?
00:24:53Even Imam Bukhari, after a few months,
00:24:56was deprived of his father.
00:25:00Who gave such a great Imam to the Ummah?
00:25:05This is what we have to think about today.
00:25:08Salahuddin was not a jinn. He was a human.
00:25:12What kind of a mother was she who said,
00:25:14I have never given my child a bath without a cloth.
00:25:19Even when he was a child,
00:25:21I used to give him a bath with a cloth.
00:25:23How could she not have given him a bath?
00:25:27What kind of a person would he be?
00:25:29Like Muhammad Al-Fatih.
00:25:31The one who conquered Andalus for 22 years.
00:25:34He was only 22 years old.
00:25:36When he announced,
00:25:38that he has to read two rak'ahs to thank Allah.
00:25:40But he will be taught by the one
00:25:42who has never left Salah in congregation.
00:25:47Who came before him? He himself came.
00:25:49He said, if I had not been afraid
00:25:51that the enemy would taunt me,
00:25:54that I have not offered Salah today,
00:25:56I have not offered Salah.
00:25:58Then I would have been afraid to say,
00:26:00that I have never left Salah in congregation.
00:26:06Was Saeed bin Musayyib not a human?
00:26:11It is not a matter of 50 days.
00:26:13It is not a matter of 50 days.
00:26:15It has been 50 years, he says.
00:26:17Muazzin would have said the call to prayer later.
00:26:20I used to sit in the first row.
00:26:23You should understand the meaning of sitting.
00:26:25He did not come and sit.
00:26:27He came and read two rak'ahs and sat.
00:26:29This is Sunnah.
00:26:30When one of you enters the mosque,
00:26:32he should not sit until he prays two rak'ahs.
00:26:36When one of you comes to the mosque,
00:26:38he should not sit until he reads two rak'ahs.
00:26:41Fifty years.
00:26:44Did Sulaiman ibn Mehran live in America?
00:26:50He says,
00:26:52I have not missed my first Takbeer in 70 years.
00:27:02Who taught you this etiquette?
00:27:05Today, you and I are in need of this etiquette.
00:27:12Which makes us an exemplary nation.
00:27:16Which makes us an exemplary society.
00:27:20Such etiquette should be taught to you and me.
00:27:27And should be taught to our children as well.
00:27:31The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
00:27:35taught this to such a nation.
00:27:40You must have read the history of Mecca.
00:27:43There were ninety-four or ninety-six people in Mecca.
00:27:48In the next one and a half century,
00:27:52they have enthralled the whole world.
00:27:55They have enthralled the world with their morals,
00:27:58character,
00:28:01thoughts,
00:28:04words,
00:28:06deeds,
00:28:07and actions.
00:28:09People used to wonder who has trained them.
00:28:13No matter what,
00:28:15the matters of tolerance,
00:28:17courage and bravery,
00:28:19morals and character,
00:28:22honesty and honesty,
00:28:25and the ability to lead a life,
00:28:28to guide a nation,
00:28:32no matter what,
00:28:34the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
00:28:37groomed them to such an extent.
00:28:41That is why Allah the Almighty
00:28:43has designated their faith as the scale for the faith of humanity that will come to the Day of Judgment.
00:28:57After the logical definition of morals,
00:29:00to understand the angles of morals,
00:29:02it is necessary to understand the terminological definition.
00:29:06And I would like you to stay with me.
00:29:09And with each definition,
00:29:11think about where you and I are standing,
00:29:14and what is the meaning of morals?
00:29:17Imam Ibn Hajar Asqalani, may Allah have mercy on him, says,
00:29:21he is the author of Sahih Bukhari,
00:29:24Morals are,
00:29:26to use what is praiseworthy in words and actions.
00:29:33To choose words that are worthy of being described,
00:29:36and actions that are worthy of being praised,
00:29:40are in essence, morals and morals.
00:29:43Today, if I say fifty words,
00:29:45how many such words will have no value?
00:29:49The predecessors of Allah used to say,
00:29:52used to pray,
00:29:54Allahumma ja'al hadeesi ibadah,
00:30:00basmati aadah.
00:30:03That is, make everything I say so good,
00:30:08that it becomes a form of worship.
00:30:11And make smiling my habit.
00:30:15And make every aspect of my life,
00:30:20be full of happiness and joy.
00:30:28And death is true and inevitable.
00:30:31But my Lord, my prayer is that,
00:30:33grant me the death of martyrdom.
00:30:37This is what Imam Ibn Hajar Asqalani, may Allah have mercy on him, says,
00:30:41If you are brought up in such a way,
00:30:45that everything you say becomes praiseworthy,
00:30:49if your every behavior and character becomes praiseworthy,
00:30:55then it will be understood that you have good manners.
00:31:00In another place he says,
00:31:02alakhzoo bimakarimil akhlaaq
00:31:06Qaable takreem akhlaaqi rawayyoon ko ikhtiyar karna
00:31:10What does this mean?
00:31:12To adopt such actions,
00:31:14so that people become ready to respect them.
00:31:19Yes, this is a human being,
00:31:22who has indeed been purified by someone.
00:31:29Imam Ibn Hajar Asqalani, may Allah have mercy on him, says,
00:31:33In a third place,
00:31:35huwa ta'zeemu man fauqaq
00:31:38wa alrifqu biman doonaq
00:31:41Your character, your thoughts,
00:31:47and your words will have light and fragrance.
00:31:52Where does it begin?
00:31:55As long as you glorify your elders,
00:31:59respect them,
00:32:02and do not learn to honor them,
00:32:06and do not learn to be gentle with the younger ones,
00:32:11this fragrance, this light,
00:32:14will not enter you.
00:32:17So if you want this light,
00:32:20if you want this fragrance,
00:32:23then first of all,
00:32:25you should know the difference between the elders and the younger ones.
00:32:28And this is knowledge.
00:32:30The difference between truth and falsehood?
00:32:34Between truth and falsehood,
00:32:36there is a distinction between knowledge and wisdom.
00:32:41Between right and wrong,
00:32:44there is a distinction,
00:32:46when there is honor in a person.
00:32:49The distinction between lawful and unlawful,
00:32:51is also given to a person,
00:32:53when he has this knowledge.
00:32:56To acquire this knowledge,
00:32:59about which Sheikh Ahmed Rida narrates,
00:33:03Adab is an angel that protects
00:33:07those who stand by it,
00:33:09from what it takes away.
00:33:12Adab is the name of such an angel,
00:33:16this angel comes inside a person,
00:33:19who gives every bad thing to a person,
00:33:22every bad thing,
00:33:25and removes all bad thoughts,
00:33:29actions,
00:33:31attitude,
00:33:33and words from him.
00:33:36Then when a aspect of his life comes in front of him,
00:33:40then it is not a bad thing,
00:33:42it is not a bad thing,
00:33:44people praise him.
00:33:46Jawaleeki narrates,
00:33:49that Adab is,
00:33:52What is good in morals and good deeds,
00:33:56is like leaving laziness,
00:33:59and putting in effort,
00:34:01and a good meeting.
00:34:05Adab is that,
00:34:07you should have such morals,
00:34:11that the person who meets you once,
00:34:14he does not forget the meeting.
00:34:17And this was the attitude of the Prophet.
00:34:27One day he thinks,
00:34:29that I have met the Prophet of Allah,
00:34:32I think he loves me more than the whole world.
00:34:37This thing made him happy,
00:34:42and prepared him,
00:34:44that I will definitely ask him.
00:34:46So he came to Allah.
00:34:48He said, O Prophet of Allah,
00:34:52who is the most beloved to you?
00:34:58He said, Aisha.
00:35:01He said, no, one of the men.
00:35:05He said, his father, Abu Bakr.
00:35:08I thought,
00:35:10He said, I thought it would be me.
00:35:13He said, who else?
00:35:15He said, Umar.
00:35:17He said, who else?
00:35:20He said, Usman.
00:35:22He said, who else?
00:35:24I took the names of ten people,
00:35:26after Sayyidina Ali.
00:35:29My name came in the tenth place,
00:35:32so I started smiling.
00:35:34I asked, what happened?
00:35:36I thought,
00:35:38that you gave me so much love,
00:35:40when we met,
00:35:42that I felt,
00:35:44that you love no one more than me.
00:35:48This is the way of life.
00:35:51Our pride never ends.
00:35:55We will salute with two fingers.
00:35:58We will salute with half a hand.
00:36:01I don't say it,
00:36:03people say it with broken hands.
00:36:05I don't even like to say it.
00:36:07We will salute with the other hand.
00:36:10Is this also wisdom?
00:36:12The Prophet said,
00:36:27When you salute,
00:36:30when you put your hand in someone's hand,
00:36:33both hands are separated,
00:36:36both sins are forgiven.
00:36:42Such a big reward.
00:36:45And our laziness,
00:36:47that I don't know how to salute.
00:36:50I don't have the manners.
00:36:52And do you know the answer?
00:36:54You were very busy.
00:36:56How many can you salute?
00:36:58You are more busy than Allah.
00:37:01You have a very big position.
00:37:03You have a bigger position than Allah's Prophet.
00:37:06The Sahabi says,
00:37:08When Allah's Prophet used to salute,
00:37:11he used to put his hand in his hand with such laziness,
00:37:14that in every strand of his hand,
00:37:16he used to feel love,
00:37:18happiness and coolness.
00:37:20And he never let go of his hand,
00:37:24until he let go of the other hand.
00:37:28This attitude is very high.
00:37:32We will either salute with the other hand,
00:37:36or we will not put our hand in the other hand.
00:37:38We will salute by swearing, taunting and joking.
00:37:43And the hadith says,
00:37:53The salutation of a hypocrite is,
00:37:55he swears and addresses,
00:37:58this is the attitude of a hypocrite,
00:38:00not the attitude of a believer.
00:38:02This is the etiquette.
00:38:04What is the etiquette?
00:38:09That you should have the ability,
00:38:11to have a good meeting.
00:38:14To be exemplary.
00:38:16What kind of a person was he?
00:38:18He had such a beautiful thought of the Sahabi,
00:38:21that when he leaves the house,
00:38:24he puts his hand in his hand with fragrance.
00:38:26What is he doing?
00:38:28He says, I am doing the salutation.
00:38:31So when I do the salutation,
00:38:33his 30 virtues are different.
00:38:36When he gets fragrance,
00:38:38happiness will be created in his heart.
00:38:40The hadith says,
00:38:42The pleasure in the heart of a believer is charity.
00:38:47To create happiness in the heart of a believer,
00:38:50is also charity.
00:38:52I do not only meet people,
00:38:54I also give charity.
00:38:56The mother of believers,
00:38:58Sayyida Aishah,
00:39:00gives charity and fragrance.
00:39:04What is this, the mother of believers?
00:39:07She says,
00:39:09The charity of Dinar will be as much,
00:39:11as I will give Dinar.
00:39:13So I want that,
00:39:15from this point of view also,
00:39:17a needy beggar will get fragrance.
00:39:20He will be happy.
00:39:21This is also charity,
00:39:22to create happiness in someone's heart.
00:39:25And what is the situation today?
00:39:27A beggar comes to a Salaf.
00:39:30He is needy.
00:39:32The first thing is that,
00:39:34the Shariah did not like him,
00:39:36that the one who has food,
00:39:38should spread his hand.
00:39:40The Shariah did not like him.
00:39:42But the Shariah has taught us,
00:39:44that if someone comes,
00:39:46Do not shout.
00:39:50Do not push.
00:39:52Do not shout.
00:39:54Do not say,
00:39:55that these do not end.
00:39:57Do not say,
00:39:58that we have a shop.
00:40:00When someone comes to a Salaf,
00:40:02he should first hold his hand and kiss it.
00:40:05Then he should give charity,
00:40:07in secret.
00:40:08Why should he kiss?
00:40:09He should say,
00:40:10this is the hand,
00:40:12which will give me heights,
00:40:14on the Day of Judgment.
00:40:16Today this attitude will end.
00:40:19The Prophet ﷺ,
00:40:22taught this attitude to the Companions,
00:40:25which is called Adab.
00:40:27Allama Safarini says,
00:40:30Adab is,
00:40:36Wisdom,
00:40:38is to adopt wisdom.
00:40:40Wisdom is,
00:40:46to have the ability,
00:40:48to do any work,
00:40:50to have the ability,
00:40:52to do any work,
00:40:54is called Adab.
00:40:55You must have seen some people,
00:40:57I would like to relate this to human life.
00:41:01After getting big degrees,
00:41:04they will get married.
00:41:06In less than a month,
00:41:07they will flop.
00:41:09That poor person does not know,
00:41:10how to spend his life.
00:41:11How to live with someone.
00:41:14How to take care of two families.
00:41:17Master,
00:41:19will reach the PhD level.
00:41:21His first job will be,
00:41:23within two months.
00:41:25Why?
00:41:26Because he does not understand,
00:41:28what the boss wants.
00:41:30If you don't understand,
00:41:31who will understand?
00:41:33Who will understand?
00:41:35What did you read?
00:41:37The ability to adjust,
00:41:40is Adab.
00:41:42It is an art.
00:41:44How to get out of the most difficult situation,
00:41:47how to get out of the most difficult situation,
00:41:50so that your personality is not damaged,
00:41:52and you can work.
00:41:56They will say,
00:41:57the situation is not good.
00:41:59The society is like this.
00:42:01My dear brother,
00:42:02is there a situation worse than Mecca?
00:42:06Where there were only Allah's messengers.
00:42:08Then there were three.
00:42:10Then there were five.
00:42:12Is there such a situation,
00:42:13that the collar is being pulled.
00:42:16And Sayyiduna Abu Dha,
00:42:17may Allah be pleased with him,
00:42:18is being killed.
00:42:20And there is blood from the head.
00:42:21Blood is coming out of the mouth.
00:42:23Blood is coming out of the shoulder.
00:42:24Is there such a situation?
00:42:27That Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq,
00:42:29may Allah be pleased with him,
00:42:30is being killed.
00:42:32And Allah's messenger is being pulled from here.
00:42:35Is there a situation worse than this?
00:42:37What are you saying?
00:42:39You are trying to escape.
00:42:41You want to take yourself on the path of failure.
00:42:44And you want,
00:42:45no one will touch me.
00:42:46No one will say anything to me.
00:42:47Should I do something or not?
00:42:49This is the path of escape.
00:42:50There were worse situations than this.
00:42:52But Allah created light there.
00:42:55The society is very bad.
00:42:58What can happen?
00:43:00It can happen.
00:43:01You read the Quran.
00:43:09The scholars say,
00:43:11the one who is the owner of the pure milk,
00:43:16which is between blood and dung,
00:43:19he is able to keep you in a pure society.
00:43:28The condition is,
00:43:30that you should have that ability.
00:43:33With which all these things come in line.
00:43:38That this thing is bad and this is good.
00:43:40How do I escape from badness and how do I do good?
00:43:44No disorder.
00:43:45No fight.
00:43:47No emotions.
00:43:48Not fights.
00:43:49Wisdom and wisdom.
00:43:52This wisdom and wisdom,
00:43:54this vastness,
00:43:57this ability to handle matters,
00:44:00is called adab.
00:44:02The Prophet has presented an example.
00:44:06There are many angles to it.
00:44:08But I will keep one angle.
00:44:10Al mu'min mir'atul mu'min.
00:44:14Al mu'min mir'atul mu'min has a mirror.
00:44:18One of the abilities of the mirror is,
00:44:21that if one mirror is seen by lakhs of people,
00:44:27then the mirror shows the face.
00:44:30That after a hundred people,
00:44:31it will say, stop it.
00:44:33I will not show it anymore.
00:44:36In the mirror,
00:44:37this ability is of Allah.
00:44:39It is not the soul.
00:44:42Whether you are sick or healthy,
00:44:47it will show you the face in both situations.
00:44:51What are the excuses here?
00:44:53I cannot work.
00:44:55What is work?
00:44:56Respect for elders.
00:44:57Love for the younger ones.
00:44:58Obedience to prayer.
00:44:59Sense of responsibility.
00:45:01And awareness of one's responsibility.
00:45:03Obedience to one's duties.
00:45:04Worrying about their performance.
00:45:06What should I do?
00:45:08How many people should I work with?
00:45:10How many people should I work with?
00:45:12Even if lakhs of people look at the mirror,
00:45:15the mirror does not say no.
00:45:18Allah's messengers were like this.
00:45:20In the last days,
00:45:22people used to sit and do tahajjud.
00:45:24People used to break it by doing people's work.
00:45:31Despite the fact that if you get angry,
00:45:34Some people are angry.
00:45:36They just came and broke it.
00:45:39Then they sat and cried.
00:45:41You will break that mirror too.
00:45:44Just look at a piece of it.
00:45:47It will not show you the face.
00:45:49Still, it will show you the face.
00:45:52This is a matter of a believer's etiquette.
00:45:55The world curses.
00:45:58The world taunts.
00:46:00Blames and accusations.
00:46:04It does not leave its good and bad.
00:46:06Whose Ummah are we?
00:46:08Was the Prophet of Allah not called unjust?
00:46:14He said,
00:46:15If I do not do justice, who will?
00:46:20There were such misfortunes that
00:46:23I seek refuge with Allah,
00:46:25these prophets are frauds.
00:46:27I seek refuge with Allah.
00:46:28Allah has revealed a verse in the Quran.
00:46:31And it was not for a prophet to cheat.
00:46:35It is not worthy of a prophet to cheat.
00:46:41People also said,
00:46:42He is crazy.
00:46:43He is a magician.
00:46:45I would like to present this to you too,
00:46:47Imam Shafi,
00:46:48who has benefited me a lot.
00:46:52Whoever wants to submit to the words of the people,
00:46:55he is crazy.
00:46:57The person's attitude is that
00:46:59he should not say anything about me.
00:47:01I am a holy cow.
00:47:03There should not be anything about him.
00:47:05He is crazy.
00:47:07How is he crazy?
00:47:09Because they said about Allah,
00:47:12and people did not even call Allah one.
00:47:15They say there are three Allahs.
00:47:17They did not even forgive Allah.
00:47:20And they said about His Messenger,
00:47:22a magician and a madman,
00:47:23He is crazy.
00:47:24There has never been such a person on the face of the earth.
00:47:28Nor will there be till the Day of Judgment.
00:47:30Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
00:47:33People also called him a magician,
00:47:35a madman,
00:47:36a madman.
00:47:37I seek refuge with Allah.
00:47:38Who gave him such titles?
00:47:40Who are you and me?
00:47:42What is the status of you and me?
00:47:44So do not think that
00:47:46no one should say anything about me.
00:47:48Recognize your status.
00:47:50You cannot stop people from speaking.
00:47:53What should be done?
00:47:55With wisdom and reason,
00:47:57answer this evil with such wisdom,
00:48:01that evil turns into goodness in the future.
00:48:05The same answer that Yahya bin Muaz gave,
00:48:08when a person abused him,
00:48:11he smiled.
00:48:13Today if someone comes and smiles at him,
00:48:15they say he is a coward.
00:48:17You know that if he speaks, two people will read it.
00:48:20So he sat next to him and said,
00:48:22Why are you not answering?
00:48:24He is a coward.
00:48:25He smiled again.
00:48:27He smiled and said,
00:48:28If I had to answer his abuse with abuse,
00:48:35then why did I read Ilm?
00:48:38Realize this.
00:48:41Did he not have the power?
00:48:43Abu Zar was such a brave man.
00:48:47He was such a loving companion.
00:48:49He did not tolerate any evil.
00:48:51One day he went out.
00:48:53He saw a sorceress
00:48:56carrying another woman
00:48:59and cutting her neck with a sword.
00:49:02There was sorcery.
00:49:04She said, Oh! Sorcery!
00:49:07He ran home,
00:49:09brought a sword and cut her neck.
00:49:12However, this was the beginning of Islam.
00:49:15Later it became a rule
00:49:17that this is the work of the government.
00:49:19Not everyone can do this.
00:49:21So what do they say later?
00:49:23Show me your sword.
00:49:26She was dead.
00:49:28He was such a strong companion.
00:49:32But when he was abused,
00:49:34he remained silent.
00:49:36He wanted to say something.
00:49:38The abuser said,
00:49:40If you say anything, I will abuse you a hundred times.
00:49:43He smiled and said,
00:49:44Even if you abuse me a hundred times,
00:49:46I will not answer even once.
00:49:49Who does not know Abdullah Ibn Abbas?
00:49:52The one who abuses, abuses.
00:49:55He says to the servant,
00:49:56Come soon.
00:49:57People may have understood.
00:49:58He says to the servant,
00:50:00Feed him quickly.
00:50:02He has come from a journey.
00:50:04In a journey,
00:50:05there is a change of temperament.
00:50:06There is a dryness.
00:50:07He will be a little emotional.
00:50:09And he will be ashamed.
00:50:11I abused him and he is feeding me.
00:50:13It is possible that if he abuses me,
00:50:15I will give him ice cream.
00:50:17I will give him chocolate.
00:50:18Is it possible?
00:50:19No, it is not possible.
00:50:21Hassan Basri was so upset.
00:50:23He sent a box of dates.
00:50:26He was very upset.
00:50:28He said,
00:50:29I have ruined the words of today.
00:50:32Where did this box of dates come from?
00:50:35He said,
00:50:36Hassan Basri sent it.
00:50:38He asked,
00:50:39What is this box of dates?
00:50:42He said,
00:50:43I came to know that you have given me a lot of good deeds.
00:50:46I came to know today that
00:50:47without salary,
00:50:49how can someone give good deeds?
00:50:51I said,
00:50:52He is making arrangements for so many good deeds for me,
00:50:54by abusing and abusing.
00:50:56So let me also make his mouth sweet.
00:50:59Is it possible that if someone abuses today,
00:51:02he will be given a box of sweets?
00:51:04Coincidentally,
00:51:05I said in a gathering,
00:51:07I received a message from a person,
00:51:09that I have understood today.
00:51:11I was also thinking of buying a shop.
00:51:13Now I have to abuse you so much,
00:51:15he said,
00:51:16Will you buy me a shop of sweets?
00:51:18I said,
00:51:19May Allah give you two shops.
00:51:20May Allah not abuse you.
00:51:22May Allah give you two to three.
00:51:24So,
00:51:25Adab is that,
00:51:27you should not have this arrogance,
00:51:30that no matter what anyone does,
00:51:32I will not come down from my level.
00:51:35I have set my level.
00:51:37What is that?
00:51:38A beneficial person,
00:51:40a righteous person,
00:51:42a good citizen,
00:51:45in whichever country I will be,
00:51:47I will not come down from that level.
00:51:50Ibn Ata says,
00:51:52Adab is that,
00:51:53Al adabu al wuqoofu ba'al mustahsanat.
00:52:00In the world,
00:52:01wherever there is something,
00:52:03that is worthy of praise,
00:52:06that is worthy of praise,
00:52:09adopting it,
00:52:13and to make yourself worthy of praise,
00:52:17to do this,
00:52:19is in reality, adab.
00:52:23Imam Ibn Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him,
00:52:25finished the matter.
00:52:27He used to say,
00:52:29Al adabu ijtima'u khisaalil khairi fil abd.
00:52:35If someone wants to see a combination of good and bad,
00:52:40then he should look at the person,
00:52:42who has been taught by Allah and His Messenger,
00:52:45adab and good manners.
00:52:47He has been blessed.
00:52:50Imam Ismail Al Harawi says,
00:52:53Hifdhul hadd bainal ghulubi wal jafa'a,
00:52:58bima'rifati dharari al adwan.
00:53:02When a person gets the ability,
00:53:05what are my limits?
00:53:08Where will the loss begin,
00:53:10and how much benefit will I get?
00:53:13What are the moral and legal things,
00:53:18that have caused me loss,
00:53:20I will not go near them.
00:53:24Where there are benefits, I will get them.
00:53:28Understand that this person,
00:53:30has created a beautiful angle of adab in himself.
00:53:34In us, when these things don't come,
00:53:36we get stubbornness.
00:53:38Which law? What is it?
00:53:41Hasn't Islam taught you anything?
00:53:45Which law?
00:53:47Hasn't any teacher taught you,
00:53:49that there is a law?
00:53:51What is that person doing?
00:53:53Are you responsible for that person?
00:53:55Do you have to account for that person?
00:53:58You have to account for yourself.
00:54:01What is your standing?
00:54:03You think that,
00:54:05you have to present yourself before Allah.
00:54:07You are an exemplary member of society.
00:54:10Society is made up of each individual,
00:54:12and each element.
00:54:14You have to tell people,
00:54:15why this and that is not there.
00:54:17So you, how are you?
00:54:20When this feeling is awakened,
00:54:23then understand that,
00:54:24this person has adab.
00:54:27The religion of Prophet Muhammad,
00:54:31among those who understand it,
00:54:33is Abdullah bin Mubarak.
00:54:35And what a wonderful person he was.
00:54:38The truth is that,
00:54:41a student is a teacher.
00:54:44A student is a teacher's secret.
00:54:47And a son is a father's secret.
00:54:52When I read a few stories,
00:54:55I keep thinking,
00:54:57that Fudail Ibn Uyad used to pray,
00:55:01O Allah, make my son better than me.
00:55:05He used to pray and get up for tahajjud,
00:55:09and his son was in the first prostration.
00:55:13What a coolness came into his heart.
00:55:16And his son is sitting in the market,
00:55:19and he is cleaning the scale.
00:55:22Someone asked, what are you doing?
00:55:24He said, I have to weigh it,
00:55:27so I have a lump.
00:55:28So if this lump also goes in the weight,
00:55:31then how will I account for the Day of Judgment?
00:55:33I said, this is amazing.
00:55:35He is afraid of the lump.
00:55:37People are weighing the lump.
00:55:41Look at wheat.
00:55:43Look at something.
00:55:45If you go to buy chillies,
00:55:47you will know what it is.
00:55:49Where there are such habits,
00:55:51those nations never rise.
00:55:55What a wonder of Abdullah Ibn Mubarak.
00:55:58He is the son of the father,
00:56:00who was kept as a gardener.
00:56:03Once the gardener came with his friends for a visit.
00:56:06He asked them to bring some fruits.
00:56:09They broke some and presented it to him.
00:56:12They were all fresh.
00:56:14They were not ripe.
00:56:16He said, don't you know how ripe fruits are?
00:56:19He said, you have kept me as a gardener,
00:56:22not to taste the fruits.
00:56:25Since I have come,
00:56:27I have not dared to break any fruit.
00:56:30He was very worried.
00:56:32How can this be? He is a human being.
00:56:34He said, he has never touched any fruit.
00:56:40He was very impressed.
00:56:42He called him.
00:56:44He said, tell me one thing.
00:56:46I want to get my daughter married.
00:56:49Whom should I marry?
00:56:51He said, this is the responsibility of the parents.
00:56:55I can give an advice.
00:56:58It is up to you.
00:57:01He said, what is the advice?
00:57:03The Jews marry for wealth.
00:57:08The Jews always marry for wealth.
00:57:11The Christians marry for beauty.
00:57:16The Christians marry for beauty.
00:57:19The Arabs marry for lineage.
00:57:23The Arabs marry for lineage.
00:57:26The believers marry for piety.
00:57:30The believers have piety as their top priority.
00:57:34He said, I did not see anyone like you.
00:57:37I will marry my daughter to you.
00:57:41Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak is his son.
00:57:45The narrator says, he prayed Maghrib.
00:57:49He did dhikr and azkar.
00:57:51He listened.
00:57:53He looked left and right.
00:57:55There was no one.
00:57:57He went in prostration.
00:57:59He raised his head in prostration when the call to prayer of Isha started.
00:58:06He says,
00:58:09If you want to build the foundation of etiquette,
00:58:22The ego that comes in the soul,
00:58:26If you are beautiful, you are arrogant.
00:58:29If you are rich, you are arrogant.
00:58:32If you have a good degree, you are arrogant.
00:58:37If you have a strong body, you are arrogant.
00:58:43Until you sacrifice these egos,
00:58:47There is no etiquette in it.
00:58:53You have to get rid of that arrogance.
00:58:59Then there will be a foundation of etiquette in it.
00:59:04After that, it will be given to those who are not given to anyone in the world.
00:59:13After the logic and terminology of etiquette,
00:59:16The second point is, what is the topic of etiquette?
00:59:19The etiquette that we will study,
00:59:21The etiquette of sitting and standing,
00:59:23The etiquette of business,
00:59:26The etiquette of meeting someone,
00:59:29The etiquette of Dawah, and various other etiquettes.
00:59:32What is the topic of these?
00:59:35Creating beauty in all aspects of life.
00:59:41And to have the ability to act appropriately.
00:59:46Beauty should come in all aspects of my life.
00:59:51And no matter what the attitude of life is,
00:59:54I should know what I have to do here.
00:59:58And today, despite studying,
01:00:01Despite degrees,
01:00:03I don't know what I have to do here.
01:00:07What should I do?
01:00:08This is what people do.
01:00:10People are not standards.
01:00:13Standards are principles and regulations.
01:00:16What are the rules of Shariah?
01:00:19According to that, when you stand up for yourself,
01:00:22Then this is etiquette.
01:00:24And this is the principle to save you from all kinds of problems and social problems.
01:00:33The third point is,
01:00:35What are the benefits and benefits of etiquette?
01:00:39The Udabas say,
01:00:43The main benefit of etiquette is,
01:00:46The wise mind.
01:00:49Allah gives such a wise mind,
01:00:54That the thoughts that come out of it,
01:00:57The emotions that arise in the thoughts,
01:01:01The thoughts,
01:01:03The views,
01:01:05The words,
01:01:06The actions,
01:01:07And the matters,
01:01:08All of them become beautiful.
01:01:12Allah gives such a wise mind.
01:01:18And some scholars say,
01:01:21Using good manners in all situations,
01:01:25Even in the most difficult situations,
01:01:28Even in the most difficult situations,
01:01:31The weightage in that person's opinion,
01:01:36The one who teaches etiquette,
01:01:38Other than that,
01:01:40You will not see that weightage in any person's words.
01:01:45The fourth point is,
01:01:47What is the relationship between knowledge and etiquette?
01:01:53Just like the Quran and Sunnah,
01:01:56Just like the Tafseer and Hadith,
01:01:59Just like the science,
01:02:01Everyone has their own status,
01:02:03People state,
01:02:05What is the status of this knowledge,
01:02:08Which we call the etiquette of Islam.
01:02:11We call it Islamic etiquette.
01:02:13We call it the etiquette of life.
01:02:16From reading the Quran, we know,
01:02:19That the Prophets and Messengers,
01:02:21Who were 1,24,000 Prophets,
01:02:24Of which 315 were Messengers,
01:02:27The rest were Prophets.
01:02:31The Messenger is the one who brought the new Shariah.
01:02:36The Prophet is the one who brought the old Shariah.
01:02:42The fundamental responsibility of all these Prophets and Messengers,
01:02:48Was to educate the people.
01:02:52The great grandfather of the Prophet,
01:02:55Ibrahim A.S. prayed,
01:02:58O our Lord, send among them a Messenger from among themselves,
01:03:03A Messenger from among themselves,
01:03:05Who will recite to them My verses,
01:03:07And will purify them,
01:03:09And will teach them the Book and Wisdom.
01:03:13O Allah,
01:03:15Send among them a Messenger from among themselves,
01:03:18Who will recite to them My verses,
01:03:23And will purify them,
01:03:27And will teach them the Book and Wisdom.
01:03:31Allah has mentioned this three times in the Quran.
01:03:39The result is,
01:03:41The purification, purification and purification of the nation.
01:03:48The Prophets worked on these three stages.
01:03:51What is purification, purification and purification?
01:03:55Purification means,
01:03:58Every thought,
01:04:01Every thing,
01:04:03Every action,
01:04:05Which is against the Shariah,
01:04:08Which is against the Shariah,
01:04:10Which is against the Shariah,
01:04:12To purify a person from it.
01:04:14This is purification.
01:04:16And purification is,
01:04:18When bad things are removed from him,
01:04:22To create brightness and brightness in him,
01:04:26To continuously follow up,
01:04:29That this is happening, yes it is happening.
01:04:31And purification,
01:04:34To deepen the inscriptions of purification,
01:04:38The Prophets gave such a system of purification,
01:04:41That even if they are not the Messengers of Allah,
01:04:44They seem to be doing what the Messengers of Allah had taught them.
01:04:48Today the teacher is happy that the child is studying in front of him.
01:04:52What is the real purification and purification?
01:04:54The teacher is not there.
01:04:56The father is not there.
01:04:58He is dead.
01:04:59That shining star,
01:05:01In every corner of the world,
01:05:03Where there is light,
01:05:05There the father,
01:05:07There the teacher,
01:05:09Seem to be doing more good deeds.
01:05:12This purification,
01:05:13And purification,
01:05:14And purification,
01:05:15Each and every companion,
01:05:17Was done by the Messenger of Allah.
01:05:19From which a perfect society,
01:05:21Was created.
01:05:23And it is called Riyasat-e-Badina.
01:05:26When Allah has made a will about it,
01:05:29There is nothing greater than this.
01:05:31Qoo anfusakum wa ahlikum naara.
01:05:34In the commentary of which Mujahid Ibn Jabr states,
01:05:38And he is that Mujahid Ibn Jabr,
01:05:40Who has done three times,
01:05:43One verse at a time,
01:05:45From Abdullah Ibn Abbas,
01:05:48He has read the entire commentary of the Quran.
01:05:51If there is the most authentic commentary in the world right now,
01:05:55Then it is through Mujahid Ibn Jabr.
01:05:58And through Saeed Ibn Jubair.
01:06:01Which Abdullah Ibn Abbas,
01:06:03And he learned from the Messenger of Allah.
01:06:06In the Quran,
01:06:08There are many verses,
01:06:10In which Allah has stated these etiquettes,
01:06:14Which are not thought of.
01:06:16I will present a few examples,
01:06:18Just to explain and understand,
01:06:21Where we are standing.
01:06:23Atadkhuloo buyootan ghayra buyootikum,
01:06:26Hatta tasta'nisoo,
01:06:28Watusallimoo ala ahliha.
01:06:31Those who claim to have faith,
01:06:34When you go to someone else's house,
01:06:38Until you form a bond,
01:06:42Until then, do not enter anyone's house.
01:06:45Until you say Salam,
01:06:48Do not go to anyone.
01:06:51Tell me honestly,
01:06:53Is our house,
01:06:55Our system,
01:06:57Our society,
01:06:59Our offices,
01:07:01Are they in accordance with this verse?
01:07:04The situation is that we have made customary standards.
01:07:07This is my first cousin's house.
01:07:09This is my second cousin's house.
01:07:12And what will happen?
01:07:14Without knocking on the door,
01:07:16Without saying Salam,
01:07:18We will go inside.
01:07:20And the Shariah is so sensitive,
01:07:23That the honour of a believer is so precious,
01:07:26That without permission,
01:07:28Someone will knock on your door.
01:07:30It is a very far thing to come.
01:07:32And if you hit a stone,
01:07:34Or hit an iron rod,
01:07:36And remove its eye,
01:07:38Then it will not be a sin.
01:07:40The Prophet of Allah himself was sitting,
01:07:43He felt that someone saw him from the door.
01:07:47The Prophet of Allah said,
01:07:49I have an iron rod with me.
01:07:51If I would have known,
01:07:53I would have removed your eye.
01:07:55And the situation is that,
01:07:57The Prophet of Allah taught him manners.
01:07:59Someone asked Imam-e-Auzai,
01:08:01How old should a child be,
01:08:07To be taught these manners?
01:08:09Son, if you want to go to someone,
01:08:11You have to take permission.
01:08:13How old should he be taught?
01:08:15He said, four years.
01:08:19If a child is four years old,
01:08:21He should be taught these manners.
01:08:23Son, we do not go to someone's house without permission.
01:08:27Today, even 40 year old children,
01:08:29Go without permission.
01:08:31To be frank,
01:08:33Today, even 40 year old children,
01:08:36Are not allowed to go and say Salam.
01:08:39Although the Hadith says,
01:08:42One who does not say Salam to you,
01:08:44And wants to come to you,
01:08:46You should not allow him to come to you.
01:08:49Even this 40 year old child,
01:08:51Did not learn these manners today.
01:08:53He will call but not say Salam.
01:08:55He will only say Hello.
01:08:57Whereas the Hadith says,
01:09:05One who wants to talk to you,
01:09:07But does not say Salam,
01:09:09Do not answer him.
01:09:11You try it.
01:09:13If you call someone and do not answer,
01:09:15It will become a bigger problem.
01:09:17I called but he did not answer.
01:09:19Because he has not heard these manners.
01:09:22And if he has heard,
01:09:24Then his greatness will not be in front of him.
01:09:27The Prophet,
01:09:29Taught the same to the Companions.
01:09:32If you want to go to someone's house,
01:09:34Never stand in front of the door and knock.
01:09:37This is the next stage.
01:09:43He used to knock with his nails.
01:09:45He used to knock so much,
01:09:47That the voice of the Companions would reach.
01:09:50And what do we do?
01:09:52Because I have come.
01:09:54Now this is not me.
01:09:56This is not the door.
01:09:58This is not a manner.
01:10:00And if a respected person has rang the bell,
01:10:03You should ring the bell once.
01:10:05A sick person may be inside.
01:10:07The doctors may have told him not to ring the bell.
01:10:10Once, twice,
01:10:12At most three times,
01:10:14And go back.
01:10:16He has just kept his hand on the bell.
01:10:18When will he wake up?
01:10:19When the bell will have rung.
01:10:21This is not a manner.
01:10:23This is a manner.
01:10:25That the Prophet of Allah,
01:10:27Went to the house of the Companions.
01:10:29He knocked the door three times.
01:10:31Asked for permission.
01:10:32If no one came, he went back.
01:10:34He did not get angry.
01:10:36Because the Hadith says,
01:10:38Ask for permission three times.
01:10:41If he gives permission, he should come.
01:10:43If not, he should go back.
01:10:45And if you are told to go back,
01:10:47Then go back.
01:10:49When you are told to go back,
01:10:51Then go back.
01:10:53This is the greatness for you.
01:10:56Allah Almighty said in another place,
01:11:00No nation should make fun of another nation.
01:11:06Tell us honestly,
01:11:08In our 24 hours,
01:11:10How many hours do we spend in making fun?
01:11:14Talking about civilization and civilization,
01:11:18Talking about honour and respect,
01:11:21To make someone fall,
01:11:23To damage someone's honour,
01:11:26To damage someone's dignity,
01:11:28All kinds of jokes,
01:11:30All kinds of voices,
01:11:32And all kinds of talks.
01:11:34Allah has taught this in the Quran.
01:11:36No nation should make fun of another nation.
01:11:39Neither a man should make fun of a woman,
01:11:41Nor a woman should make fun of another woman.
01:11:43Do not blame yourselves.
01:11:45Do not give bad names.
01:11:47Someone is saying something.
01:11:49Satan is saying something.
01:11:51There is a fight.
01:11:53There is a fight between two sides.
01:11:56If you think about it,
01:11:58You will understand,
01:12:00How harmful it is,
01:12:02If there is no respect and honour.
01:12:04Do not blame yourselves.
01:12:07Allah has taught us this.
01:12:09Some people think,
01:12:11I am very brave.
01:12:13I am ready to do it in front of people.
01:12:15Is it permissible to say something wrong in front of people?
01:12:19In front of the face,
01:12:21Or behind the face,
01:12:23What is wrong is wrong.
01:12:25The Companions asked this question.
01:12:27If there is a flaw in someone,
01:12:29If we say it,
01:12:31Is it also a sin?
01:12:33He said, this is a sin.
01:12:35If it is not there,
01:12:37You will say, this is blasphemy.
01:12:39This is a sin.
01:12:41And you are saying such a thing in front of someone,
01:12:44That he will feel bad.
01:12:46If you are not brave,
01:12:48If you are truthful,
01:12:50Go to his house.
01:12:52Explain to him,
01:12:54My brother,
01:12:56You have this in you.
01:12:58What do you think,
01:13:00Should I tell you what the Prophet of Allah said?
01:13:02Or there is another way,
01:13:04If you think he is angry,
01:13:06Take the attitude of Hassan and Hussain.
01:13:08When they saw a person,
01:13:10That his ablution was not right,
01:13:12They did not say,
01:13:14Did you see how old you are?
01:13:16They did not teach this attitude.
01:13:18He said,
01:13:20If you like,
01:13:22Then both of us will do ablution for you.
01:13:24Tell us,
01:13:26Whose ablution is right?
01:13:28Both of them did ablution for him.
01:13:30That old man said,
01:13:32Both of your ablutions are right.
01:13:34Mine is not right.
01:13:36They are sitting in a gathering.
01:13:38Suddenly a problem arises.
01:13:40When a problem arises in a gathering,
01:13:42Look at Sayyiduna Umar's attitude.
01:13:44Look at his attitude.
01:13:46He said,
01:13:48We have been sitting for a long time.
01:13:50Should we not do ablution again?
01:13:52He did not say anything to anyone.
01:13:54This is the wisdom.
01:13:56This is the depth
01:13:58And the deepness of etiquette.
01:14:00That you do not damage
01:14:02Someone's intellect, understanding,
01:14:04And personality.
01:14:06And find a solution.
01:14:08The Prophet of Allah,
01:14:10Peace be upon him and his family,
01:14:12This is how the Qur'an was revealed.
01:14:14This is how he was brought up.
01:14:16This was the etiquette.
01:14:18Do not use bad names.
01:14:22Do not use bad names.
01:14:24Here, the sons,
01:14:26The father,
01:14:28The brothers,
01:14:30The friends,
01:14:32Keep the names of your relatives.
01:14:34The devil has come.
01:14:36Astaghfirullah.
01:14:38The devil.
01:14:40Then what are you?
01:14:44Because the relative is a disbeliever.
01:14:46The uncle of the Prophet of Allah,
01:14:48Abu Lahab,
01:14:50Was a disbeliever.
01:14:52So he is an uncle.
01:14:54So if he is the devil,
01:14:56Then what are you?
01:14:58What are you?
01:15:00People are deprived of thinking.
01:15:02When they are deprived of etiquette.
01:15:04What am I saying?
01:15:06This is etiquette.
01:15:08When you come to Salam,
01:15:10Respond with
01:15:12a good response.
01:15:14When someone says,
01:15:16As-salamu alaykum,
01:15:18Respond with,
01:15:20Wa alaykum al-salam wa rahmatullah.
01:15:22When someone says,
01:15:24As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah,
01:15:26Respond with a good response.
01:15:28Wa alaykum al-salam wa rahmatullah.
01:15:30Wa barakatuh.
01:15:32And there is a narration.
01:15:34When he said,
01:15:36If you say Salam, you should say it from the front.
01:15:38Didn't you see the man behind you who wanted to say Salam, and I had to say it?
01:15:43Is this manners?
01:15:45The Messenger of Allah said one thing.
01:15:47Now there are three narrations.
01:15:49They are in two words.
01:15:51If you want to go higher, then do Salam in general.
01:15:56If you want to go lower, then do Salam in general.
01:16:00If you want to go higher, then do Salam in general.
01:16:03If you want to go lower, then do Salam in general.
01:16:06If you want to go higher, then do Salam in general.
01:16:09If you want to go lower, then do Salam in general.
01:16:13If you want to go higher, then do Salam in general.
01:16:18This was the first article that was included in the constitution of the state of Madinah.
01:16:25When the Messenger of Allah went to Madinah, there were the Aus and the Khazraj.
01:16:29There were also the Jews.
01:16:31He wrote the first written constitution of the world.
01:16:35He wrote it fifty-four times.
01:16:39The Jews also signed it.
01:16:4127 of them were only for the Muslims to meet the Jews and other people.
01:16:48What would be the rules and regulations?
01:16:51The remaining 27 were for the Muslims.
01:16:54Today we don't understand.
01:16:56Some people think there is bravery in this too.
01:16:59They will go to someone's house, they won't open the door with their hands,
01:17:02they will kick it with their feet.
01:17:04And later they will say, wow, wow, wow.
01:17:07He has a lot of courage.
01:17:09So if they are asked, he is a donkey with courage, what will you say?
01:17:14Because if the door is not open with this, he will break it.
01:17:18Is this courage?
01:17:20You are a believer, a Muslim, a human being.
01:17:22You are the chief of all creatures.
01:17:24Your behavior should be like a human being.
01:17:26Why are you making an example of a donkey?
01:17:29This is not courage.
01:17:31Courage is what Islam has taught.
01:17:33It is against the disbelievers.
01:17:35To abuse the Muslims, to slap them, and to kill them is not courage.
01:17:41Giving them respect is courage.
01:17:43The Prophet was passing by a people.
01:17:48He was doing wrestling.
01:17:54There is a narration in Sahih al-Jamia that people were doing weight lifting.
01:17:57He asked, what is this?
01:17:59They said, they are increasing strength.
01:18:01He said, shouldn't I give news of a person who has strength from this?
01:18:05When the companions heard this, they said, why not?
01:18:09He said, the one who has strength from this is the one who can control his anger.
01:18:16The Prophet has taught all these manners.
01:18:21It is not only Allah who has taught this in the Quran.
01:18:24The Prophet of Allah has also taught this.
01:18:26The Companion Mu'az Ibn Jabal says,
01:18:33I will advise you on ten things.
01:18:37Think about it.
01:18:42Don't do shirk.
01:18:48You should be killed.
01:18:51Your body should be cut into pieces.
01:18:54Don't do shirk.
01:18:56Now tell me honestly, does the society understand this?
01:19:02If the narration of Tariq Ibn Shihab tells us that
01:19:06when two people reached the place where they were hunted,
01:19:10where they were caught,
01:19:12that in the name of the Goddess, you should offer a sacrifice.
01:19:15When they refused, they were threatened with death.
01:19:18And what was the deal?
01:19:20You should offer a fly in the name of the Goddess.
01:19:25One said, it is a fly.
01:19:28The Hadith says, he offered a fly in the name of Allah.
01:19:35Because of the fly, he went to hell.
01:19:38The one who didn't offer a fly, he will be killed.
01:19:41He will go to heaven.
01:19:43Tell me honestly.
01:19:45You are all knowledgeable people.
01:19:48Does a fly sell here?
01:19:50Is there a shop here?
01:19:52What is its price?
01:19:54Offering 1.5 lakhs in the name of Allah.
01:19:57And then offering 10-20 million in the name of a non-believer.
01:20:02Does the society understand this?
01:20:05How will they calculate?
01:20:07This is being taught.
01:20:10My companion, your body should be cut into pieces.
01:20:13You should be burnt to ashes.
01:20:16Don't do shirk.
01:20:18It is said,
01:20:20And do not disobey your parents.
01:20:23Today, the society that cries and whispers,
01:20:27Every two hours, they say,
01:20:31Maulana, pray for us.
01:20:33Our sons are very ill-mannered.
01:20:35What can we do?
01:20:37We can only pray.
01:20:39And what is the advice?
01:20:41And do not disobey your parents.
01:20:43And if He commands you to leave your family and property,
01:20:48And if He commands you to leave your family and property,
01:20:53And if He commands you to leave your family and property,
01:20:56You are my children, this is my property.
01:20:58If you leave, then leave.
01:21:00These are the rules of Allah.
01:21:02What is here?
01:21:04What will you say about the state of the society, of the community,
01:21:08Where the father is afraid to talk,
01:21:11That his son may get angry.
01:21:15Where he is afraid to talk,
01:21:17That if the words are misplaced,
01:21:19Then I will be humiliated.
01:21:21Is this a society?
01:21:23Is this a community?
01:21:25Where the status is given such an example,
01:21:28That the son becomes the father, and the father becomes the son.
01:21:31Allah has also mentioned the sign of the Day of Judgment.
01:21:36The sign of the Day of Judgment is,
01:21:38That the woman will give birth to the master.
01:21:41And the mother will have a strong mouth.
01:21:44She will behave with her mother in such a way,
01:21:47As if she is her daughter.
01:21:49And the second meaning,
01:21:51Which is written in the Shara of this Hadith,
01:21:53That people will become so unfortunate,
01:21:56That they will sell their mother for money.
01:21:59She will sell and sell,
01:22:01One day she will come and buy herself.
01:22:03First she was a mother, and now she has become her daughter.
01:22:06Until these etiquettes and manners do not come into the society,
01:22:10Until then, my dear and respected,
01:22:14We will not be able to see the splendor of this society,
01:22:19For which we yearn.
01:22:21How did the Prophet of Allah teach this etiquette at home?
01:22:25It is a far-fetched thing at home.
01:22:27Now a Jew came and said, Assalamu Alaikum.
01:22:31I will also say with respect,
01:22:33Pay attention,
01:22:34How is my and your greetings at the same time?
01:22:37Assalamu Alaikum.
01:22:38Do you know what this means?
01:22:39You should say Assalamu Alaikum.
01:22:42Assalamu Alaikum.
01:22:44It means, death is upon you.
01:22:48Now the Jews are enemies.
01:22:51They passed by and said, Assalamu Alaikum, O Muhammad.
01:22:55We seek refuge in Allah, death is upon you, O Muhammad.
01:22:58What did the Prophet say?
01:22:59Wa Alaikum.
01:23:01What does it mean?
01:23:02Death is upon you.
01:23:03When Sayyida Aisha heard this,
01:23:06She understood.
01:23:07She said, O Allah, death is upon you, curse is upon you, anger is upon you.
01:23:13He said, slowly, O Aisha.
01:23:15Slowly.
01:23:16Stop.
01:23:18She said, didn't you hear what I said?
01:23:21Didn't you hear what the Prophet of Allah said?
01:23:24He said, didn't you hear what I said?
01:23:26Didn't you hear what I said?
01:23:28They said, death is upon me.
01:23:30They will not be accepted.
01:23:32I said, death is upon you.
01:23:33I will be accepted.
01:23:35I gave the same answer.
01:23:37The Prophet of Allah taught all these manners.
01:23:42And a difficult hadith is of Sahihul Jamia and Sahiha.
01:23:46Don't sit somewhere and get upset.
01:23:50The hadith says,
01:23:57To teach such things,
01:23:59Hang a whip in your house,
01:24:01For your family,
01:24:03So that it is a means of respect for them.
01:24:06But today we have prepared a slogan.
01:24:08Although with a very good intention.
01:24:13What is the result?
01:24:14The children who did not speak in front of their parents,
01:24:17Now they have become rude.
01:24:19The children who used to look down on their teachers,
01:24:22Now they are tearing their homes.
01:24:24Which slogan has ruined it?
01:24:27We ourselves believe that,
01:24:29It is not right to hit.
01:24:35To teach manners,
01:24:39The children who are so rude and rude,
01:24:42Need water to keep the tree green.
01:24:49If you don't correct their attitude,
01:24:52You will always suffer a loss.
01:24:55That is why the Prophet has called it,
01:24:57A part of prophethood.
01:25:00To whom?
01:25:01To manners and etiquette.
01:25:11To have a good character,
01:25:13And to choose the right path,
01:25:16Is the 70th part of prophethood.
01:25:20Such is the knowledge of greatness,
01:25:23Of manners and etiquette.
01:25:24And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
01:25:27In the second hadith,
01:25:29Created even more excellence.
01:25:31He said,
01:25:42This is the 25th part of prophethood.
01:25:45In fact, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
01:25:49Created the distinction of the companions,
01:25:52That they have manners and etiquette.
01:25:54The companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
01:25:59They were the first generation of manners and etiquette.
01:26:06That is why Imam Ibn Qayyim says,
01:26:14All of this is religion.
01:26:18And the scholars of the Ummah,
01:26:20Read the lives of the companions,
01:26:22Understood, thought,
01:26:24And decided,
01:26:25That before knowledge,
01:26:27We should learn manners.
01:26:29We have a lot of knowledge.
01:26:32We will answer each and every question.
01:26:35And we will be ready to fight.
01:26:37We will be ready for debates.
01:26:39Come and debate with me.
01:26:41At least talk to me.
01:26:43You will not learn manners.
01:26:45This was the attitude of the predecessors.
01:26:50Who said this?
01:26:51Umar.
01:26:53Learn manners before learning knowledge.
01:26:56Imam Abu Abdullah Balkhi says,
01:27:03You and I are not as much in need of knowledge,
01:27:05As we are in need of manners.
01:27:08The righteous predecessors advised their children,
01:27:16I would like you to learn 70 levels of knowledge.
01:27:21If you learn one level of knowledge,
01:27:24I would like you to learn 70 levels of knowledge,
01:27:29But you will not learn manners.
01:27:34Imam Zuhri says,
01:27:35Who is the teacher of Imam Bukhari,
01:27:38We used to come to the scholar,
01:27:40But what we learn from his manners,
01:27:42Is more dear to me than knowledge.
01:27:44Whenever we go to our teachers,
01:27:47We learn manners from them more than knowledge.
01:27:52Today,
01:27:53What will we teach manners?
01:27:55I remember the words of Abdullah Ibn Mubarak again.
01:27:58He used to say,
01:27:59I have asked for manners for 30 years,
01:28:02And I have asked for knowledge for 20 years.
01:28:05I have asked for manners for 30 years,
01:28:09And I have asked for knowledge for 20 years.
01:28:12And they used to learn,
01:28:14And they used to ask for manners before knowledge.
01:28:17And I have seen my teachers,
01:28:19They used to ask for manners before knowledge,
01:28:24And they used to learn it.
01:28:28What is surprising is,
01:28:30Imam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal,
01:28:34And Imam Sufyan Sauri,
01:28:36Have said such a strange thing.
01:28:39Where did they do it?
01:28:40They used to say,
01:28:41A man, if he wants to write a hadith,
01:28:45If he wants to read a hadith in our time,
01:28:48If he wants to write it,
01:28:50He used to learn manners and worship,
01:28:53Before that,
01:28:54For 20 years,
01:28:55Before that,
01:28:56He used to learn manners for 20 years,
01:28:59And put himself in worship,
01:29:02Before that,
01:29:03He used to join the ranks of the Muhaddithin.
01:29:07Today,
01:29:08The one who narrates a hadith,
01:29:10Must be narrating a hadith,
01:29:12Must have done a PhD,
01:29:14Must be abusing,
01:29:16And must be saying all kinds of things,
01:29:19Is this manners?
01:29:20Must be lying to Allah's Messenger,
01:29:23Must be narrating false stories,
01:29:25Must be presenting stories,
01:29:28Is this manners of knowledge?
01:29:31Those who have understood the religion of the Messenger of Allah,
01:29:35Understand this,
01:29:375000 people used to read in front of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal,
01:29:44How many thousands?
01:29:47I didn't say 500, I said 5000.
01:29:51Maybe you are aware of this,
01:29:53Otherwise I will tell you,
01:29:55When Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal passed away,
01:29:57When he passed away,
01:29:58250,000 people led his funeral prayer.
01:30:01I am talking about that time.
01:30:04Out of the 5000 people who used to sit,
01:30:07Only 500 people used to write.
01:30:09The remaining 4500 people used to learn manners,
01:30:12How to teach the teacher,
01:30:15And how to sit in the class.
01:30:17They used to learn only manners.
01:30:19The religion of the Messenger of Allah,
01:30:22Tells us,
01:30:24That intellect and manners,
01:30:26Are bound to each other.
01:30:27If there is no manners,
01:30:28A person becomes ill-mannered.
01:30:30If there is no intellect,
01:30:31He does not learn manners.
01:30:33There is no manners,
01:30:34Except with intellect,
01:30:35And no intellect,
01:30:36Except with manners.
01:30:38One who does not have manners with intellect,
01:30:40His intellect is no longer intellect.
01:30:42He will never tell you a reasonable thing.
01:30:45One who does not have manners,
01:30:46His intellect is of no use.
01:30:48That is why,
01:30:50He used to say,
01:30:51The secret of knowledge,
01:30:52Is the intellect and the intellect.
01:30:54If you want to translate your intellect,
01:30:57They will translate your manners.
01:30:59Whatever manners you have,
01:31:02You don't need to get it checked.
01:31:04You can understand,
01:31:05What is the level of your intellect.
01:31:07That is why,
01:31:08The Prophet used to say,
01:31:10A person who calls himself wise,
01:31:17And does not have manners,
01:31:19He is such a brave person,
01:31:21Who has no power or weapons.
01:31:23What is bravery?
01:31:25He does not have anything of bravery.
01:31:29That is why,
01:31:30Shuaib bin Shaibah says,
01:31:32Ask for manners,
01:31:33For it is the substance of the intellect.
01:31:36If you want to make your intellect,
01:31:38So that it becomes suitable for people,
01:31:42Then learn manners.
01:31:44And Sulahai used to say,
01:31:47The intellect without manners,
01:31:49Is like a fruitless tree.
01:31:51And with manners,
01:31:52Is like a fruitless tree.
01:31:54Thirdly,
01:31:55If a tree has fruits,
01:31:57Consider it to be a tree,
01:31:59And the fruits are manners.
01:32:01If a tree does not have fruits,
01:32:03Consider it to be the intellect,
01:32:05Which does not have manners.
01:32:07The fruitful tree is protected,
01:32:09And water is also given.
01:32:11If it does not have fruits,
01:32:12At any time,
01:32:13A farmer can cut it and burn it,
01:32:16Or do something else with it.
01:32:19These are the people,
01:32:20Who have manners.
01:32:22They are presented as ideal.
01:32:25Those who do not have manners,
01:32:28They are only presented as a lesson for a person.
01:32:32They are not presented as an example.
01:32:38With a teacher,
01:32:40There is a deep connection of manners.
01:32:44This is also something,
01:32:46Which will surprise you.
01:32:48We say,
01:32:49Put the child with such and such.
01:32:53He will teach him.
01:32:56What did the predecessors do?
01:32:57They used to say,
01:32:58When the man came,
01:32:59They would take him away.
01:33:01They would look at his presence,
01:33:04His prayer,
01:33:05And his condition.
01:33:07Then they would take him away.
01:33:09Whenever a person would send his child to the righteous,
01:33:13First of all,
01:33:14He would look at his prayer,
01:33:17His manners,
01:33:19And his character.
01:33:21His condition,
01:33:22And his manners.
01:33:24Then they would take the child away.
01:33:26Now tell me honestly,
01:33:28When they take the child away,
01:33:31And teach him dance,
01:33:33Are you doing justice to your children?
01:33:37A person has come to leave his child.
01:33:41When the teacher puts on his shoes,
01:33:44He puts his left foot first.
01:33:46What is the Sunnah?
01:33:52This is manners.
01:33:54He puts his right foot first.
01:33:57When he takes off his shoes,
01:33:58He puts his left foot first.
01:34:01When he saw,
01:34:02He took his child back.
01:34:03He said,
01:34:04He does not have manners himself.
01:34:05How will he teach my child?
01:34:08Therefore,
01:34:09With knowledge,
01:34:10Manners are so important.
01:34:12If there is no manners with knowledge,
01:34:15Then a person does not receive blessings.
01:34:17Who was Imam Malik?
01:34:18He was a teacher.
01:34:19Whose teacher was he?
01:34:20Imam Shafi'i.
01:34:22Imam Shafi'i says,
01:34:33If I was sitting in front of Imam Malik,
01:34:35Then I would have changed the page of my book very slowly.
01:34:40So that he does not become ill-mannered.
01:34:43And my teachers who are thinking,
01:34:45So that there is no difference in their thinking.
01:34:48Imam Shafi'i says,
01:34:58Rabi is his student,
01:35:00Imam Shafi'i.
01:35:02He says,
01:35:03By Allah,
01:35:04I have never sat in front of Imam Shafi'i and drank water.
01:35:08It was such a great thing.
01:35:11And today's teachers and students,
01:35:13Go around the intellectual villages.
01:35:16In colleges and universities.
01:35:18Where famous scholars are born.
01:35:21The teacher is passing by.
01:35:24Students are whistling.
01:35:27The teacher is going.
01:35:29And how is he addressing them?
01:35:31Like he is addressing a slave.
01:35:33He is not an intellectual.
01:35:35Think where the nation is going at this time.
01:35:38And what will these ill-mannered people be able to do in the future?
01:35:43And until we teach our children this etiquette,
01:35:47What will we be able to make them do in the future?
01:35:51That is why Imam Malik,
01:35:53When his mother sends him ready,
01:35:56She ties a turban.
01:35:58And before leaving she says,
01:36:04Son,
01:36:05Before knowledge,
01:36:07Learn etiquette from the teacher.
01:36:10Imam Shafi'i's mother was the one,
01:36:13Who before the Fajr prayer,
01:36:15She would make him perform ablution.
01:36:17She would tie a turban and make him stand.
01:36:19And he would leave.
01:36:21Mother, let me go.
01:36:23Son,
01:36:24At least let the call to prayer be made.
01:36:26What kind of etiquette is this?
01:36:27That the son has slept till 8 o'clock.
01:36:29And the parents do not have the courage to wake him up.
01:36:31They cannot knock on his door.
01:36:33They cannot tell him to get up and pray.
01:36:35This is not a society.
01:36:37When the parents have so much fear,
01:36:40Then how will the nation be made?
01:36:43Sheikh Ibn Abbas asked his mother,
01:36:46My son does not get up.
01:36:48She said, you are not saying the right thing.
01:36:50He said, I wake him up every day but he does not get up.
01:36:52She said, tell me one thing.
01:36:54In the room where he is sleeping,
01:36:56What will you do if there is a fire?
01:36:58She said, I will pull him out.
01:37:00She said, you will pull him out to save him from the fire of the world.
01:37:06And to save him from the fire of hell,
01:37:08Are you not able to think?
01:37:10These attitudes have to be corrected.
01:37:13If after my death,
01:37:15My son is not able to get up and pray,
01:37:18Then what did I give him?
01:37:20He does not know how to bathe his father.
01:37:25He is not able to offer his funeral in front of my dead body.
01:37:29I have spent crores of rupees on his degrees.
01:37:32I have wasted everything.
01:37:34There is no use of it.
01:37:36Because everything has to be left here.
01:37:38A life which is not a trillion years,
01:37:42More than this,
01:37:44A life of unlimited years,
01:37:46Where it will not end,
01:37:48We should also think about it.
01:37:50The Prophet, peace be upon him,
01:37:53Taught us these things.
01:37:55Whoever teaches his son good manners,
01:37:58He will be very happy.
01:38:01The Salaf used to say,
01:38:03Whoever teaches his son good manners in his childhood,
01:38:06All his life,
01:38:08Happiness welcomes him.
01:38:13Even if his children grow up,
01:38:15His eyes will always be cool.
01:38:17Because he has taught his children good manners.
01:38:20And Luqman Hakeem,
01:38:22Although many people believe that,
01:38:24This will happen by eating this,
01:38:26And this will happen by eating this.
01:38:28Luqman Hakeem used to say,
01:38:34To teach good manners,
01:38:36To be strict as required,
01:38:39To beat the child,
01:38:42Is as important as,
01:38:44To keep the earth green,
01:38:46It is important to shower rain from the sky.
01:38:55The Salaf used to say,
01:38:57Whoever teaches good manners to his children,
01:39:00He has put a nail in the neck of all his envious people.
01:39:05Whoever is jealous,
01:39:07He will not be harmed.
01:39:09Because his children are exemplary.
01:39:11He has defeated the envious people.
01:39:14If you want to be safe from the envious people,
01:39:16You should teach your children good manners.
01:39:20The Salaf used to say,
01:39:28The best inheritance people give to their children,
01:39:31Is good manners.
01:39:34It is a beautiful definition.
01:39:36When they grow up,
01:39:38When they leave this world,
01:39:40People will continue to praise them.
01:39:42And this is the greatest inheritance.
01:39:44Abdullah Ibnul Mubarak used to say,
01:39:55No one can become a unique person,
01:39:59Until he beautifies his knowledge with good manners.
01:40:05It is good manners,
01:40:07That enlightens the mind of a person.
01:40:10Ahnaf Ibn Qais used to say,
01:40:14When a person wants to enlighten his mind,
01:40:17He should learn good manners.
01:40:19The Arabs wanted to make Ahnaf Ibn Qais the king.
01:40:23And they did.
01:40:25He was not well educated.
01:40:28But he had good manners.
01:40:32Coincidentally, one day,
01:40:34A girl was bringing coal.
01:40:37She had a 9 month old baby.
01:40:39The girl passed by,
01:40:41And her ring fell off her hand.
01:40:43The coal fell on the spot,
01:40:45And the baby died.
01:40:47And she died herself.
01:40:49And the girl was unconscious.
01:40:51The baby died, and the girl was unconscious.
01:40:53Because she didn't know what would happen to her.
01:40:55He came.
01:40:57He gave her water.
01:40:59He made her conscious.
01:41:01He said, You are free.
01:41:03People said, What is this?
01:41:05He said, My son was destined to be like this.
01:41:09Because of him,
01:41:11I didn't want to waste another life.
01:41:13I got angry.
01:41:15I set him free to cool down.
01:41:19People said, We have to make him the leader.
01:41:21Let's see how much tolerance he has.
01:41:25A young man was asked,
01:41:27To tell him in the assembly,
01:41:29His father said,
01:41:31I want to marry your mother.
01:41:33I said,
01:41:35Did you hear that?
01:41:37I thought,
01:41:39If I tell someone in the assembly,
01:41:41They will bury him where he is.
01:41:43He said,
01:41:45Son,
01:41:47Such things don't happen in the assembly.
01:41:49Which is the translation of his words.
01:41:51You come home for this.
01:41:53He said, No, answer me now.
01:41:55He said, My advice is,
01:41:57Don't marry my mother.
01:41:59She is a very old woman.
01:42:01She will die.
01:42:03He said, No, I have to marry her.
01:42:05He said,
01:42:07You know,
01:42:09The unmarried woman,
01:42:11She is allowed to marry.
01:42:13And,
01:42:15The married woman,
01:42:17The wife who is dead,
01:42:19She is a widow.
01:42:21Her opinion is respected.
01:42:23I will ask her.
01:42:25If she agrees, then only there will be a problem.
01:42:27People said, He is worthy of being the leader.
01:42:29And,
01:42:31No one felt helpless.
01:42:33And today,
01:42:35If someone says such a thing,
01:42:37Allahu Akbar.
01:42:39Then what will happen?
01:42:41You know better what will happen.
01:42:43In the world,
01:42:45The poor are not those who don't have money.
01:42:47The poor are those,
01:42:49Sayyiduna Muawiyah,
01:42:51R.A. used to say,
01:42:53The poor,
01:42:55Who has no manners,
01:42:57He is the poorest.
01:42:59The Messenger of Allah,
01:43:01S.A.W,
01:43:03Taught
01:43:05Manners.
01:43:07Sayyiduna Muawiyah, R.A,
01:43:09About whom no one had prayed to Allah.
01:43:11The 45 verses
01:43:13Which were revealed,
01:43:15He is the only author.
01:43:17O Allah,
01:43:19Make him a guide, a guide,
01:43:21And guide him.
01:43:23O Allah, make him a guide,
01:43:25And guide people through him.
01:43:27O Allah, teach him the Book,
01:43:29And save him from punishment.
01:43:31Allah taught him the Book,
01:43:33And saved him from punishment.
01:43:37He was a governor for 20 years,
01:43:39And he ruled for 20 years.
01:43:41But,
01:43:43Allah gave such wisdom,
01:43:45Abdul Malik bin Marwan and others,
01:43:47When they rose against him,
01:43:49They poisoned their swords,
01:43:51And said,
01:43:53Sayyiduna Muawiyah, R.A,
01:43:55If he speaks further,
01:43:57All of them will attack.
01:43:59And today,
01:44:01They will destroy everything.
01:44:03Sayyiduna Muawiyah, R.A,
01:44:05Who had learned manners,
01:44:07From the Messenger of Allah,
01:44:09And from the great companions,
01:44:11When he spoke further,
01:44:13They smiled.
01:44:15When he spoke more harshly,
01:44:17They smiled.
01:44:19And what did he reply?
01:44:21O sun of the suns,
01:44:23O moon of the moons,
01:44:25Who are you opposing?
01:44:27O sun of the suns,
01:44:29Neither are you better than Moses,
01:44:31Nor am I worse than Pharaoh.
01:44:33Allah sent Moses to Pharaoh,
01:44:35And said,
01:44:37Say to him,
01:44:39Say to him,
01:44:41Both of you go,
01:44:43And speak softly to Pharaoh.
01:44:45These were the words,
01:44:47Of wisdom,
01:44:49These were the words,
01:44:51Of wisdom,
01:44:53He said,
01:44:55I will never speak against you again.
01:44:57And he used to say,
01:44:59There is no wise man,
01:45:01Except one who has experience.
01:45:03There is no wise man,
01:45:05Except one who has experience.
01:45:07And there is no kind man,
01:45:09Except one who has experience.
01:45:11One who does not get beaten up in society,
01:45:13He does not become rude.
01:45:15The first day,
01:45:17On the first day,
01:45:19There is a lot of arrogance in him.
01:45:21He gets a new degree,
01:45:23He gets a new position,
01:45:25He becomes arrogant.
01:45:27This society suppresses him.
01:45:29It takes time.
01:45:31There is no wise man,
01:45:33Except one who has experience.
01:45:35One who does not have experience,
01:45:37You will not see wisdom from his mind and tongue.
01:45:39You will not see wisdom from his mind and tongue.
01:45:41Wisdom and wisdom
01:45:43Are always obtained after experience.
01:45:45Some people are made wise by Allah.
01:45:47They are naturally wise.
01:45:49There is politeness in what they say.
01:45:51There is deep thinking.
01:45:53There is the art of tackling matters.
01:45:55There is the art of tackling matters.
01:45:57If you talk to the elders,
01:45:59They do not feel it.
01:46:01Allah has given them so much firmness.
01:46:03There is so much readiness in their strength.
01:46:05There is so much readiness in their strength.
01:46:07And Allah has given them the ability
01:46:09To solve the biggest of matters
01:46:11To solve the biggest of matters
01:46:13People become free.
01:46:15People keep looking at what happened and what they thought.
01:46:17This is the wisdom
01:46:19Which should be asked from Allah.
01:46:21This is why the Harith used to say
01:46:23The good literature is a good thing for the scholar
01:46:25And a cover for the ignorant.
01:46:27And a cover for the ignorant.
01:46:29If you learn literature of knowledge,
01:46:31It is a beautiful blanket
01:46:33Which can only be praised.
01:46:35Which can only be praised.
01:46:37If literature comes to the ignorant,
01:46:39It is such a beautiful blanket
01:46:41It is such a blanket
01:46:43Which falls on the ignorant
01:46:45People consider the ignorant to be a great scholar.
01:46:47People consider the ignorant to be a great scholar.
01:46:49When literature comes to him.
01:46:51Abdul Malik bin Marwan used to say
01:46:53Abdul Malik bin Marwan used to say
01:46:55Who advised his sons
01:46:57My sons, do not leave literature in your life.
01:46:59My sons, do not leave literature in your life.
01:47:01You have no wealth.
01:47:03You have no wealth.
01:47:05If you have literature,
01:47:07It will be a great wealth.
01:47:09If you have wealth,
01:47:11It will be a great wealth.
01:47:13If you have wealth,
01:47:15It will be a great wealth.
01:47:17It will be a great wealth.
01:47:19Prophet Muhammad
01:47:21Prophet Muhammad
01:47:23taught this to the Companions.
01:47:25And Abdullah bin Mubarak
01:47:27And Abdullah bin Mubarak
01:47:29is quoting this.
01:47:31If you want to see the honor of a person
01:47:33If you want to see the honor of a person
01:47:35There are many noble people.
01:47:37But until there is etiquette and manners
01:47:39But until there is etiquette and manners
01:47:41His honor and greatness
01:47:43cannot be seen in front of the world.
01:47:45Literature is the one whose nobility
01:47:47is given four moons.
01:47:49Ibn Muqaffa says
01:47:51People get honor with wealth.
01:47:53People get honor with position.
01:47:55People get honor with wealth.
01:47:57No one has wealth.
01:47:59No one has a position.
01:48:01Still, if you want to see the honor
01:48:03He is the one whom Allah has
01:48:05blessed with etiquette and manners.
01:48:07In fact, you will be surprised.
01:48:09Dawood bin Rashid used to say
01:48:11Everyone wants to be a leader.
01:48:13Everyone wants to be a leader.
01:48:15He is a human being.
01:48:17But leadership cannot be achieved
01:48:19without four things.
01:48:21The first thing
01:48:23is etiquette.
01:48:25A person who does not have etiquette and manners
01:48:27cannot be a leader.
01:48:29And a person who does not have a good reputation
01:48:31cannot be a good leader.
01:48:33Because he does not have the ability
01:48:35to lead the people.
01:48:37Etiquette
01:48:39Honesty
01:48:41A person who does not have honesty in his tongue
01:48:43cannot be a leader.
01:48:45He will be humiliated every day by lying.
01:48:47He will be left out.
01:48:49The third thing is jurisprudence.
01:48:51A person who does not understand
01:48:53the matters
01:48:55What is his previous record?
01:48:57What did he do?
01:48:59What did he do for the nation?
01:49:01He cannot be a leader.
01:49:03Even if he fails, he will be a leader.
01:49:05And the fourth thing is trust.
01:49:07A person who does not have
01:49:09trust and honesty
01:49:11cannot be a leader.
01:49:13This is the reason why
01:49:15when the crown of Kisra was brought
01:49:17in front of him
01:49:19The crown was brought
01:49:21And maybe you know
01:49:23that like Mount Kankal
01:49:25there was a golden crown of
01:49:27Adaiman
01:49:29It was hanging from the roof
01:49:31and he used to come down and sit
01:49:33It used to look like he was wearing it.
01:49:35When it was brought,
01:49:37not a single pearl was separate from it.
01:49:39Seeing everything, he says
01:49:41that the one who brought it
01:49:43is very trustworthy.
01:49:45The companions of Bol say
01:49:47when their Caliph and Ameer
01:49:49are trustworthy, how can the nation
01:49:51not be trustworthy?
01:49:53This is how it is.
01:49:55For leadership,
01:49:57truthfulness,
01:49:59honesty,
01:50:01understanding
01:50:03and etiquette
01:50:05cannot be achieved
01:50:07unless there is leadership
01:50:09and neither can a person be successful.
01:50:11This is the reason why
01:50:13Sayyiduna Bilal has been freed
01:50:15by Abu Bakr Siddiq.
01:50:17He is a slave.
01:50:19His color is also black.
01:50:21Learn such etiquette
01:50:23that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr
01:50:25himself is saying
01:50:29Bilal is our leader.
01:50:33Although he has freed him.
01:50:35He has given him money.
01:50:37He was on the ground.
01:50:39You could hear his footsteps in heaven.
01:50:41What was the secret?
01:50:43It was the etiquette
01:50:45that you and I
01:50:47need today.
01:50:49Elegant etiquette
01:50:51and sharp tongue.
01:50:53Sayyiduna Amr bin Aas
01:50:55may Allah be pleased with him
01:50:57When someone asked
01:50:59what is the meaning of
01:51:01Marwad?
01:51:03It should be
01:51:05Marwad.
01:51:07What is Marwad?
01:51:09Sayyiduna Amr bin Aas
01:51:11may Allah be pleased with him
01:51:13said,
01:51:15Elegant etiquette
01:51:17that makes people happy
01:51:19and sharp tongue.
01:51:21And such tolerance
01:51:23and flexibility
01:51:25that a person does not compromise
01:51:27on principles
01:51:29but does not take revenge
01:51:31of evil with evil but with goodness.
01:51:33And this was the character
01:51:35of Prophet Muhammad.
01:51:37He forgives and forgives.
01:51:41He forgave
01:51:43and took revenge of evil
01:51:45with goodness.
01:51:47Abdullah ibn Mubarak
01:51:49used to say,
01:51:53who is lazy
01:51:55in learning etiquette,
01:52:01Allah first of all
01:52:03takes away the Nawafil as punishment.
01:52:05Without etiquette, you cannot perform Tahajjud.
01:52:13And who leaves the Nawafil
01:52:15and dares, what is the need?
01:52:17One day,
01:52:19he becomes a thief of Sunnah.
01:52:25Who says, what is the need of Sunnah?
01:52:27One day,
01:52:29he is ready to leave
01:52:31that obligation.
01:52:37Who is lazy
01:52:39in his obligations
01:52:41and is deprived of Allah's knowledge.
01:52:47Who is deprived
01:52:49of Allah's knowledge.
01:52:51He is deprived
01:52:53of Jannah.
01:52:55We pray to Allah,
01:52:57that all the etiquette
01:52:59that Allah and His Prophet
01:53:01have taught us,
01:53:03may we learn them
01:53:05and live our lives accordingly.
01:53:07And may we be able to
01:53:09pass on these beautiful
01:53:11and exemplary attitudes
01:53:13to our children and
01:53:15to our society.
01:53:17And may we be able to
01:53:19paint our society
01:53:21with these beautiful
01:53:23etiquettes.
01:53:25And all the bright faces
01:53:27who have come here,
01:53:29may Allah make them
01:53:31His beloved.
01:53:33And may Allah include
01:53:35them and their children
01:53:37among His close ones.
01:53:39And just as there is a gathering
01:53:41for religion here,
01:53:43may Allah gather them
01:53:45with their parents and children.
01:53:47And grant them
01:53:49with their beloved.
01:53:51And make them worthy of seeing.
01:53:53And our last supplication is
01:53:55to praise Allah.
01:54:13And all praise is due to Allah,
01:54:15Lord of the worlds.
