Neglect in Plain Sight: Pleading for Lifesaving Aid at the UNHCR

Enduring profound #starvation and neglect outside the #UNHCR office, my failed attempts at securing urgent nourishment via the reception and unacknowledged complaints to their Inspector General incited further outreach to passing staff on June 25th, 2024.

Despite my exhaustion, interactions captured in this video reveal me imploring two agents and a Kurdish interpreter for urgent talks with the High Commissioner’s representative in Greece, #MariaClaraMartin, immediate nourishment, questioning the communication barriers, and demanding an end to my captivity in Greece.

Alas, my pleas were ignored, with staff either entering the building forcefully or diverting to the side-street entrance to evade engagement.

Your support remains crucial.
