19वीं सादी की तबाही | 1896 Bombay plague epidemic | Shorties

The Bombay plague epidemic, a bubonic plague outbreak, devastated the city of Bombay (now Mumbai) in the late 1800s. This epidemic resulted in thousands of deaths and a mass exodus from the city, causing a significant population decline. In September 1896, the municipal authorities in Bombay officially acknowledged the presence of the bubonic plague. The spread of the disease was exacerbated by the administration's ineffective measures. By January 1897, half of the city's residents had fled to rural areas.
