00:00At the Committee of Music of the National Commission for Culture and Arts,
00:03we have identified the spectrum of Philippine music.
00:08And quoting Dr. Felipe de Leon, who's the former chairperson of NCSA, one of the scholars,
00:15we acknowledge that there are eight living music cultures in the Philippines.
00:21And the eight living music cultures would have the representation of our own diversity
00:28in terms of music and all its forms.
00:30Because music, dance, and theater are quite integrated in the Philippine scene.
00:35That's why, hence what Congressman Toph is saying, that we are actually good artists
00:39because we manage not only to focus on just one discipline,
00:43we manage to integrate all disciplines.
