00:00Hello again. As we go through the rest of today, many of us will see a bit of sunshine
00:05at times, but there's some pretty wet weather to come as we go through the end of the day
00:09and into tomorrow. That's because of this system just to the north-west of the UK, and
00:15we can already see this is going to be affecting north-western Scotland quite early this afternoon,
00:20bringing some more persistent rain here. Elsewhere, there are a few showers around, but many places
00:25are going to see some bits of sunshine developing across central-eastern parts of England, staying
00:30quite cloudy through a large chunk of the day, but some breaks in the cloud perhaps.
00:35Greater chances of some sunshine though further north and west, where there should be some
00:38decent sunny spells. In the sunshine, it's not going to feel too bad. Temperatures high
00:42teens, possibly low 20s for some of us, but those figures are a little bit below average
00:47for the time of year. So especially where it's going to be cloudier and wetter, it is
00:51going to feel pretty disappointing. That cloud and rain across northern parts is going
00:56to become a bit more widespread, so turning increasingly cloudy across Scotland, Northern
01:00Ireland and Northern England, with some fairly frequent rain, which could be a little bit
01:03heavy at times through this evening, and all of that then spreading its way south and eastwards
01:07overnight. So although some southern parts may have a fairly decent end to the day, it's
01:12actually going to turn pretty cloudy and wet as we go overnight. Some of the rain could
01:16be a little bit on the heavy side, and with all that unsettled weather around, temperatures
01:21aren't going to drop much. So most places holding up in double figures, so a mild but
01:25wet start to the day for most of us on Wednesday morning. Quite a lot of rain around then first
01:30thing. A lot of the heavier rain does quite quickly clear away towards the east, and so
01:33something a bit drier for a time, but not necessarily that sunny for most of us. Quite
01:38a few places staying pretty cloudy, maybe some brighter breaks developing across some
01:43southern parts of England perhaps, but on the whole it is going to be largely grey.
01:48There will also then be another band of rain coming in as we go through later on the day.
01:52It doesn't look especially heavy, but just something a little bit more persistent perhaps
01:55for a time, pushing its way in initially across Scotland and Northern Ireland, and then feeding
01:59into western parts of England and Wales as well. As that then clears through, I am expecting
02:04some brighter or sunny spells to develop across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland, but
02:08also a scattering of showers mixed in with these. Temperatures on paper relatively similar
02:14to today, a bit higher for some, a bit lower for others, but nonetheless still generally
02:18a little bit below average for the time of year. There will be some higher humidity across
02:23some parts towards the south-southeast, but again feeling a bit disappointing for the
02:28time of year, especially with the cloud, the rain, and for some of us some blustery winds
02:32to watch out for too. This front then does gradually continue its way south-eastwards
02:37as we go through tomorrow evening, with then more places towards the north and west seeing
02:41some clearer skies to end the day, and still a scattering of showers and some of them could
02:45be quite heavy at times. There is more unsettled weather to come as we go through the rest
02:50of this week. Across northern parts it's looking pretty wet on Thursday and there could be
02:54some blustery winds to watch out for too. Then on Friday I think more places likely
02:59to see some wet weather, especially across southern parts when it could be quite wet
03:03and windy. We will have more information about what you can expect this week on our YouTube
03:07channel with our Deep Dive with Annie, but do head to our website where you will find
03:11some advice about making sure that you are weather ready as we go through the rest of
03:16this summer. I'll see you again soon. Bye bye.
