Transcript
00:00give a great long election speech don't worry about that but obviously it is an election that's
00:03all about change you know the opportunity is to vote to continue with what we've got
00:08in my view that's not been very good or we can vote to change that and have a different government
00:15come in and start cleaning up the mess and taking our country forward but it is a vote
00:21all about change it is a very much a change election and the only thing i'd say about that
00:26is if you do want change and we've been campaigning now for weeks and weeks and weeks
00:31across the country almost everybody says to me i do think once i do want things to change
00:36but if you want change you've got to vote for it is the basic message because otherwise you're
00:40going to wake up with the same as what you've got now don't hold back any questions anything
00:44you want to say even if it's just a point you want to make make your point and we'll try and
00:49deal with it but we've got anyone who wants to open the proceedings we're from opening
00:54questions and not possible to get nhs appointments we need to fix that with 700,000 more appointments
01:00particularly for children and making sure we've got nhs dentists close to where you are because
01:06at the moment it's really difficult to get everything wage changing over the next five
01:10years if you're elected well i have to say across the country cost of living is probably the thing
01:15that comes up over and over again for obvious reasons many people are struggling to make ends
01:20meet almost everybody's got the same experience which is my wages salary haven't gone up
01:26considerably but my prices have and that's food that's mortgages it's rent and energy has been
01:35a massive cost for people we have to rebuild our economy to make sure that never ever happens again
01:41things like the armed force commissioner for example that'll make a huge difference having
01:44an independent commissioner which is a fantastic thing that we do for veterans we haven't got
01:48enough teachers in our basic subjects so in maths we've got too many children and young people being
01:54taught maths by supply teachers or pe teachers rather than maths teachers and that lives with
02:02children for a very long time particularly if it's gcse
