Sprinting is a matter of speed, with the fast men often doing more than 70 km/h. But it’s much more than that, as timing and positioning can make a world of difference. In Turin, Biniam Girmay had the 5th highest top speed but he pounced to victory while Davide Ballerini slipstreamed at a much higher pace but had to settle for 8th.
