00:00I am very happy, very honored to be here, the truth is that the fact that we can celebrate 25 years with so many people who are also looking to make their careers in the United States, to support each other, to create a guild, also outside of our countries and to create that culture of supporting each other and also celebrating different types of stories is what catches my attention and it is excellent to be part of that too.
00:23What projects do you have now?
00:25Right now we are just releasing a series called Profe Infiltrado for VIXX, it has already been a month of release, it is in first place in Mexico, first place in the United States, so I am very happy, the truth is that now with these streamers we are making content that is seen everywhere and that obviously for me, for the people of Latin America in the United States, it feels a bit of our flavor and our country so that they do not miss it so much.
00:51It is very beautiful to really see all the artists united with a cause and I hope that our industry reacts completely and we continue to tell stories.
01:01What plans do you have now? Tell me about your projects.
01:04I'm going to give you a secret, I'm going to Peru this Monday to give life to a cumbia singer, I can't say the name yet, but it's going to be a biopic of 12 chapters in which I will be able to become this person who is very loved in South America.
01:26Why do you think Hollywood needs more presence in the cumbia?
01:30Look, I think thank God we are with much more presence, obviously there is too little, but thanks to series like La Casa de Papel, Elite, finally our stories are being dubbed into English and are reaching the rankings number one of the largest platforms.
01:49So I think we have not yet entered a boom, but a very big boom is coming for Latinos because our stories are already universal.
01:58Here celebrating the best, the 25 years of Nalip and the Latin community, how do you feel?
02:04I feel very proud of Nalip and I thank everyone who organized this group and continues to bring our stories to the public.
02:15Why do you think more Latinos are needed in Hollywood? More Latin presence.
02:20Well, because we know that we are a very large people and especially for our young people, because it gives them their identification and also gives them pride when they look at themselves.
02:31When I was young, I never looked at any Latino on the screen or on television. It is very important, especially for our young people, because it is very important that they can feel that they have value.
02:49I feel incredible, I feel very blessed to be surrounded by so much Latino talent, so much beauty, so much charisma. We are all super warm and it is a very beautiful experience.
02:59What projects do you have now after the success of Griselda?
03:02Of course, Griselda was an incredible bomb. I am very grateful to Griselda, to the whole Griselda family and right now I just finished a project called Monsters, also for Netflix. It is a very intense project of Griselda's caliber and I am very excited to see it.
03:1725 years of Nalip, how important is it for Latinos, for Latin culture?
03:23It is very important to have representation, more than anything, also women. I think Nalip always supports many women like me, who am a director, and I think that in recent years it has been making many changes for all Latinos, opening opportunities, doing this type of event that brings us all together to be able to put stories on the screen that represent us.
