00:00Hello, good evening, my name is David, so we run the director of the movie Between the Notes
00:12that features Hélène Grimoire, the wonderful French pianist Hélène Grimoire.
00:16So this movie features amazing people such as Yannick Nézet-Séguin who is one of the
00:22greatest conductor of all time and who actually broke the barricades really of classical music
00:30to the masses with such intelligence and such modernity.
00:34He is in the movie, I have the opera singer Bryn Terfel but also conductor like Roderick
00:39Cox and a lot of really really phenomenal people including Jacques Rouvier who is the
00:46first teacher of Hélène Grimoire from the age of 12 until 18.
00:51I'm extremely honored to have that movie premiere tonight.
00:55This is actually a world premiere at this iconic movie theater called Empire 25 AMC.
01:03So I want to thank from the bottom of my heart Hélène Grimoire who gave me that opportunity
01:07but also all the team of Dutch Gramophone and the team of AMC particularly Mr. Dom Presto.
01:13So thank you so much Dom, thank you AMC, thank you to the audience and thank you to all the
01:18team who works with me to make that movie happen.
01:22So I hope you're going to enjoy it and I can't wait to show it to you.
01:25Bye bye.
01:26What are your impressions about having the premiere of your movie tonight at the AMC
01:33theater in Times Square?
01:34Oh my gosh, well first of all I think it's more your movie than mine.
01:38It's a privilege for sure.
01:39I'm aware of the fact that it is an honor.
01:44The good thing is as always with you, I don't know what to expect which is fantastic, it's
01:48an adventure so I'm looking forward.
01:50It's always something which fills me with gratitude, this idea that anybody might even
01:54be remotely interested and then especially to get to work with someone who has this energy
01:58and passion as you do.
02:02And then every intervention of every colleague in the piece, it's really humbling, it's
02:10just motivation to keep going.
02:13Sometimes before you can keep going you have to take a step back and this is a good time
02:17to do so.
02:18What do you feel about classical music throughout the year?
02:21Yeah, well you're right, I mean that's really significant because you know we often say
02:25classical music but for me it's not so much classical, it is the music of the time in
02:31which it resonates and so it's very much the music of today and it holds so much power,
02:37so much beauty and so much truth.
02:39I think it's what everybody needs so it has its place here.
