00:00Suki Waterhouse is making a rare comment about her past relationship with Bradley Cooper.

00:11from her three-year romance with the A Star is Born actor that ended in 2015.

00:17Suki tells British Vogue for its August 2024 issue quote,

00:22I really will say that I'm pretty strong at this point, but when something very public

00:27happens to you and the story behind it is dark and difficult and you're actually not

00:32doing well and you can't explain yourself to the world, that's very isolating and disorienting.

00:39She adds,

00:40It probably has taken a decade to work myself out and actually be able to have this expansion

00:46in my life.

00:48Additionally, Suki says that music has been her outlet, including her heartbreak song

00:53Brutally, which she recorded in 2016 and included on her 2022 EP Milk Teeth.

01:01The 34-year-old continues, saying quote,

01:05Your twenties are pretty sadistic.

01:07The love I experienced then was only ever a fetishization, and I think when you only

01:13get loved in that way, you only get punished.

01:16However, things have drastically changed for Suki since that 2015 split, having now welcomed

01:24in March of 2024 with her fiancé Robert Pattinson.

01:30When you get into your thirties, you are almost instantly afforded a little bit more respect.

01:36It's kind of delightful and shocking at the same time.

01:40Despite being in a different place in her life and no longer writing about heartbreak,

01:46Suki admits that quote,

01:50You can find things to be pissed about.

01:54The 32-year-old also gushes over Rob in the interview, adding that he's quote,

01:59The dad I could have hoped for.

02:01I mean a dad and his daughter.
