PBBM meets with PSAC-Tourism Sector officials to tackle initiatives, recommendations to improve industry

00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. met with the Private Sector Advisory Council or PSAC Tourism Sector Group to discuss enhancements for the tourism industry.
00:09The group outlined initiatives including improving hotel supply, water and sanitation, health facilities, connectivity, sports tourism and simplified visas for foreign students.
00:20Key priorities include a digital nomad visa, an e-visa program, a VAT refund scheme for tourists, a recommendation for visa-free status for India and Taiwan to boost tourism.
00:32Meanwhile, Full Invest Trust aligning tourism education with industry needs and the group pledged ongoing collaboration with the government to enhance the Philippines' competitiveness as a tourist destination.
