00:00Hey, what's up everybody and welcome back to another video.
00:14Today's going to be Sex Pistols, Pretty Vacant.
00:18I don't know much about the Sex Pistols.
00:21Is it Sex Pistols, The Sex Pistols?
00:23I always wondered, like, certain bands, like you've got to say the, and other bands you
00:26don't say the.
00:27I wonder what the decision was there when people want the, and some people don't want
00:31the.

00:35Sex Pistols, Pretty Vacant?
00:37Stick around.
00:38Starts off with that riff that goes...
00:54What that is, is basically you can just kind of put your finger on the second fret of the
01:01A and the D, basically an E power chord.
01:05You're going to go open low E twice, two on the D twice, open low E twice, two on the
01:12A twice, and back and forth.
01:14So open, two D, open, two A, back and forth, both, everything's twice.
01:23So...
01:24Okay, pretty straight forward.
01:40My guitar is tuned, at this point I have no idea.
01:44I want to say a half step, might be a full step.
01:46Okay, so then you get into an A. So you kind of bounce off that for a little while, that's
01:59the next part after the...
02:03An A is open two, two, two, open two, two, it doesn't really, as long as you hit the
02:06open and, as long as you hit open and two of the twos, the D and the G, you can hit
02:12the B two, two if you want, two, two, two, two, two.
02:16But, open A, two D and two G, and then, you know, if you want to hit the full A, you hit
02:21the two on the G.
02:22Actually, you're not really supposed to power all the way, it's just have the open E, but
02:26then you get into...
02:47Okay, so what that is, that first...
02:53I was going back and forth between G, because again, my open strings sound horrible, and
02:58I adjusted the thrust rod.
03:00I actually took this stupid little thing off, because I didn't even know where the thrust
03:03rod was, and then you have to do it, and then I got an Allen wrench, and I still tightened
03:08it because it said to tighten it, and then the fret buzz was still there, so I have no
03:12idea what to do.
03:14So my open strings are horrible, and I try to avoid doing them, but open chords have
03:21open strings.
03:23So to make it sound a little better, I would just try to do power chords, even though you're
03:27supposed to probably do a whole full...
03:28Anyways, I don't even know, it's Sex Pistols, so they probably did power chords anyways.
03:32Anyways, it's A, it's A, G, now it could be a G, full G chord, G power chord.
03:45If it's a punk song, it doesn't necessarily matter as long as you're getting the G sound.
03:51Then to a D, to A. So A, G, D, A. See?
04:06A, G, D, A. A is open 2-2-2, G is 3, open 3, and you can do a 2 if you want.
04:15Open, open, 3-3.
04:16It doesn't...
04:17It's a G, you know.
04:18And then a D is obviously open D, 2-3-2 on the next three strings, back to an A. Then
04:25you go to a G, E, E power chord, so G power chord is 3-5-5, to an E power chord down here,
04:35not a low E power chord, a higher E power chord, 7-9-9 starting on the A.
04:41So A, G, D, A, then G, D, G, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D, D.
04:52And then the chorus is...
05:07I don't even know if you were able to really bounce off that 3.
05:10The chorus is a D power chord, 5-7-7 starting on the A, to a C power chord, 3-5-5 starting
05:17on the A, to an A power chord, and I think you're supposed to do the little off...
05:22As you're doing the A, you bounce, kind of do that little off the third on the low E.
05:41That's pretty much Sex Pistols, Pretty Vacant.
05:45Okay, so that'll do it for another video.
05:48Hopefully it was even right, as I was doing it, I think I was having the timing maybe
05:52a little off, I don't know.
05:53Anyways, until next time, see you later, gadoosh!
