Leap is a 2020 Chinese biographical sports drama film directed by Peter Chan Ho-sun (陳可辛) and starring Gong Li (巩俐) as Jenny Lang Ping (郎平) and Huang Bo (黄渤) as Chen Zhong He (陈忠和). The film is based on TRUE EVENTS, the China women's national volleyball team's stories spread over more than 40 years. Jenny Lang Ping the player is played by her REAL-LIFE daughter Lydia Bai Ling (白浪).
The film tells the journey of several generations of Chinese National Women's Volleyball Team and their touching stories of tenacious struggle and glory for the country for the past 40 years.
