02:14Uh-uh
02:16You should just do what the frizz says
02:18Take the rest of it and make the best of it
02:20Just like I'm going to make the best of today's field trip
02:22Me too
02:24I can't believe she's letting us pick where we go
02:26She says we earned it for that time we almost got eaten
02:28Which time?
02:30Anyway
02:32I already have a bunch of ideas
02:36Uh-oh
02:38Is that your giant book of stuff that needs saving?
02:40Not stuff, Ralphie
02:42Species
02:44Here's one
02:46Let's go to the frozen Arctic and save the Aleutian shield fern
02:48Shield fern?
02:50Arctic?
02:52Okay
02:54How about we go to the rugged Rockies
02:56And save the boreal toad
02:58Seriously Wanda
03:00We get to pick and you want to go someplace hard?
03:02It's sweet of you
03:04But how about we save ourselves
03:06From freezing
03:08Hawaii, anyone?
03:10Miss Frizzle?
03:12Not that I'd ever want to influence your decision
03:14Kids, but what if our field trip
03:16Just this once was more of a
03:18You know, tropical vacay
03:20Aloha-ee
03:22Aloha-ee
03:24I think that's the words to the song
03:26But I don't really know
03:28Yay, Hawaii
03:30I can't wait
03:32But what about the poor fern?
03:34Or the sad little boreal toad?
03:36How can you ignore this face?
03:42Well, wherever we go
03:44I'm going to save something
03:46Sunglasses and sunscreen, everyone, please
03:48That goes for you too, bus
03:52Bus, do your stuff
04:02Come on, guys
04:04Remember class
04:06You're still in school
04:08So we need to work on the three R's
04:10Rest, relaxation
04:12And riding the waves
04:30What a cute little fish
04:32What is she doing out here all by herself?
04:34Hey, Dorothean, what is this fish called?
04:38Looking at it now
04:40Luganis cosmera, common name
04:42Blue-striped snapper, of the family Luganidae
04:44Of the genus Luganidae
04:46Got it
04:48Thanks
04:52Hey, where are you going, little fish?
04:56You're cute, little blue-striped snapper
04:58I'll call you Becca Blue
05:03That tickles
05:07How can a tiny little fish like you
05:09Survive in such a big ocean?
05:13Hello, that's a deep question, Wanda
05:15Hmm, when you think on it
05:17What bubbles up?
05:19I guess maybe there's nothing
05:21Dangerous around to hurt her, so
05:23Shark!
05:25Scratch that
05:29Awesomely awesome creatures that are
05:31Awesomely awesome?
05:33Why would they name a video that?
05:35Because it's awesome! Shark!
05:37Carlos, you were screaming shark?
05:39Check it out, Juan
05:41Right here on this island they have cute little dolphins
05:43Aww
05:45Finches
05:47Aww
05:49And geckos
05:51Nice!

06:03Me too, I need to see what Becca is up against
06:05Okay, perfect
06:07Come on everybody, but let's do it the way the locals do
06:13You mean the people that live here?

07:02How do you guys do this thing?
07:13Well, class, as my big sister always says, lawe wale, hana hewa, aloha a pa.
07:21What is that supposed to mean?
07:23According to my research, it's Hawaiian for take chances, make mistakes, and get messy!
07:30Which means, permission to push buttons!
07:34Dorsal fin activated.
07:37Hey, that worked!
07:39Guys, use the dorsal fin on your back to keep you from rolling.
07:42Whoa!
07:43Whoa!
07:44Whoa!
07:45Dorsal fin activated.
07:46Thanks, Wanda.
07:47I think you and my stomach thanks you.
07:54Wonder what this one does.
07:55Tail fin activated.
07:56Hey, everybody!
07:57The tail fin moves you forward!
07:58Faster!
07:59Whoa!
08:00Ah!
08:01Pectoral fins activated.
08:02Phew!
08:03And it looks like the pectoral fins on our sides are for steering.
08:04Well, ho, ho, ho!
08:05Look at that!
08:06From the looks of it, I'd say it's working.

09:20Not a bunch, a school!
09:22Oh, you said it, D.A.
09:23And it looks like they've been studying some cool underwater moves.
09:27Man, that thing scared the scales off me!
09:29I can't believe you guys were all afraid of a bunch of dinky little fish!
09:33Yeah, Ralphie, I forgot how brave you are!
09:36So, do you want to tackle that guy next?
09:40Aaaaah!
09:44A Carcharhinus melanopterus! Common name Blacktip Reef Shark of the family Carcharhinidae of the genus!
09:51We get it!
09:53Aw, he's leaving. I guess he had other fish to fry.
09:56That was way too close! Time for us to be of the family Movinus of the genus get us the heck out of here!
10:03Bus, shake a tail fin!
10:10Oh no! What about Becca? We can't just leave her! What about the shark?
10:15Guys? Guys? Oh, this is not good at all!
10:24Hmm, an interesting conundrum. How does something minuscule protect itself from something humongous?
10:31Not just humongous. Humongous is a big, sharp, pointy…
10:35Gnar, gnar, gnar!
10:36Look! A shark's tooth!
10:37See?
10:39According to my research, sharks have anywhere from five to fifty rows of these.
10:43Fifty rows of teeth?
10:45Yup! Also, according to my research, some fish hide in coral reefs to keep safe from predators.
10:51The reef acts kind of like a fortified house, with a tiny fish door.
10:55Perfect! Jokey, I need one super-fortified, high-tech fish house for Becca to hide in. Can you build it?
11:01Wow, tall order. That requires a saltwater-resistant submarine design and cutting-edge smart home technology.
11:10What color?
11:16Presenting my super-high-tech underwater fish emporium!
11:21With security systems, alarm, and a video feed straight to your tablet. It's perfect!
11:29If that shark gets anywhere near Becca, I'll know about it.
11:33And that big, gray teeth machine will be sorry. What could go wrong?
11:42Wow, she loves it. Plus the views from the grand ballro…
11:45Hey, where are you going? Come back!
11:48Becca! Becca! This is no good at all.
11:53Hey guys, I'm worried about Becca.
11:55Who?
11:56Who's Becca?
11:57Becca Blue.
11:58My fish?
11:59Oh right, your fish.
12:01It's a great big ocean out there and Becca's one tiny little fish. She needs our help. Now, who's with me?
12:08I'm sure she's fine, Wanda. Plus, she has her new house.
12:11And a coral reef if she needs it.
12:13So grab a coconut water and check out the show.
12:16Plus, it's time to reapply our sunscreen.
12:19But, Becca!
12:21You go, Liz!
12:22Limbo, limbo, limbo!
12:27Fine, I'll do it by myself.
12:30Unless…
12:31Ms. Frizzle?
12:33Okay, let's see what we can do. Liz, you keep an eye on the class.
12:38We've got a fish to find.
12:41There she is!
12:46Don't worry, Becca. Here I come.
12:48And Wanda, never forget the words of my great-uncle Fishby.
12:51Never.
12:52Never.
12:53Never.
12:54Never.
12:55Never.
12:56Never.
12:57Never.
12:58Never.
12:59Never.
13:00Never.
13:01Never.
13:02Never.
13:03Never.
13:04Never.
13:05Never.
13:06Never.
13:07Never.
13:08Never.
13:09That's the words of my great-uncle Fishby.
13:11It takes more than one fish to-
13:20Becca?
13:22Becca?
13:25Becca!
13:29There you are!
13:30I missed you, little scaly buddy.
13:33Hey, wait up!
13:34Whoa! Ms. Frizzle, Becca sure is a tough fish to follow. I never know where she's going to go next.
13:41I hear you, Wanda. If only there was a way to make sense of things.
13:46Huh? What is that?
13:49Swimmer sense, initiating.
13:52Swimmer sense? Okay, very cool.
14:01Now at optimum swimming depth.
14:03Whoa! That balloon thingy must control how deep I am.
14:11And that line looks like it's reacting to changes in the water around me. Only, why?
14:16Tasty morsel nearby. Friendly fish now approaching.
14:20Okay, that's why. Hi, Becca!
14:26Fishlink now engaged.
14:28Fishlink? Ms. Frizzle, I'm actually synced up to Becca. That line on Becca's side does that too?
14:35You got it, Wanda. It's synchronized swimming at its synchroniziest.
14:39Cool!
14:41Aha! Look at us!
14:45This is amazing. Wherever she goes, I go. Uh-oh.
14:53Don't worry, Becca. Maybe it's just the school of fish again.
14:58The shark!
14:59Is there a problem, Wanda? Troubled waters?
15:02Nothing I can't take care of.
15:04Here's the plan. I'll distract the shark and lure it away. Then I hide while you get lost.
15:12No, Becca! You go the other way!
15:20What are you? Oh! Now I remember.
15:24Fishlink and Swimmersense disengaged.
15:29Okay, now go, Becca, go!
15:39Whoa! Are these your friends? Together you look huge. They look just like you.
15:48Nice one. Now he doesn't know what to chase.
15:54Whoa!
16:01That shark is getting schooled.
16:05Too bad, shark. Find your lunch someplace else. Those little fish just psyched you out.
16:11Uh, what is it about someplace else you don't understand, shark? Shark?
16:18Shark!
16:24Okay, class, listen up. It's time to go to school.
16:28School? I thought we weren't saying the S word today.
16:31Is that the shark?
16:32Cool!
16:33Yeah, only it's looking at Wanda and thinking shark chow.
16:37Less cool. We have to help her. Come on, everybody!
16:42I know what you're thinking, Liz, but today is not a good day to stay home.
16:46Wanda needs our help!
16:54Time for Operation Save Wanda, the way the locals do it.
17:04Wanda, you okay?
17:06Huh? I thought you were all too busy to help and didn't care about Becca.
17:10But we care about you.
17:11Come on, Wanda, you need help, don't you?
17:14Actually, yes, so much. I can't get away from this rock without going south to south with all gnar gnar face.
17:20You need some fish style help, from your own school, us.
17:24Hang on, we'll try to distract it.
17:31Here goes nothing.
17:33Uh-oh.
17:39Not me, I taste like SPF 100, you wouldn't like it.
17:43Uh-oh. According to my research, I'm toast.
17:47Don't worry, Z8, I'll distract him.
17:51Phew.
17:56Guys, we can't do this all day.
17:59As my concert promoter relative Great Auntie Palooza used to say,
18:02maybe it's time to get your acts together.
18:07Get our acts together?
18:10Get our acts together?
18:16You guys, I've got an idea, listen up.
18:19Fishlink, Fishlink.
18:21Uh, Gesundheit?
18:23The blinking blue button right in front of you, look.
18:26Got it.
18:28Awesome.
18:31Fishlink now engaged.
18:33Cool.
18:39Awesome.
18:42Follow me, you guys.
18:49It's like we're all sharing one great big giant fish brain.
18:52That would be gross, if it weren't so cool.
18:56As my older sister might say.
18:59Woohoo!
19:01I think she means wahoo.
19:04Now let's show this guy what scary is all about.
19:06Remember when all those little fish looked like a big fish?
19:10I remember that.
19:11Oh yeah.
19:12Totally.
19:13Then it's monster making time.
19:18Move it!
19:20See you later, grooper hater.
19:22We did it guys.
19:23Together.
19:24Yeah.
19:25Great job guys.
19:27Huh?
19:28What does that mean?
19:29School is out for the rest of our lives.
19:33Huh?
19:35What?
19:36What?
19:37Huh?
19:39Huh?
19:40Huh?
19:41Huh?
19:42Huh?
19:43Huh?
19:44Huh?
19:45Huh?
19:46Huh?
19:47Huh?
19:48Huh?
19:49Huh?
19:50Huh?
19:51Huh?
19:52Huh?
19:53Huh?
19:54Huh?
19:55Huh?
19:57It was worth a shot.
19:59No Ralphy.
20:01I was saying that our adventure today was incredible.
20:04It was pretty amazing.
20:06Busting out those slick fish moves.
20:08And saving Wanda with that six six fish sents.
20:10Six six.
20:13six six fish sents.
20:16I can't believe I went to all that trouble to save Becka.
20:18When she already had all the help she needed.
20:20Yeah.
20:21That is one fish with some pretty great friends.
20:25Yeah, I know the feeling.
20:28I just wish I knew why we had to come back from Hawaii so soon.
20:31Well, I do try to wrap up field trips by three o'clock.
20:34Just this once. Why couldn't it have lasted till, say, summer o'clock?
20:42All we have to do is keep a little bit of Hawaii inside of us. Right, Liz?
20:50Well, since we're back and nobody wants to go out in the snow...
20:55How would you like to hear about the plight of the poor Aleutian shield fern?
20:58I could go on for hours.
21:05Wow, the kids really stuck together. Remind you of anything?
21:09Yep. Boop. Kid Link, now engaged.
21:26Hi, I'm looking for the Magic School Bus.
21:29Is this the Magic School Bus?
21:31Magic School Bus?
21:32Is this the Magic School Bus?
21:33Hi, I'm looking for the Magic School Bus.
21:37Magic School Bus?
21:38Magic School Bus?
21:39Magic School Bus?
21:41Is there still Autobus Marico?
21:43Bonjour, je cherche l'Autobus Magique. I'd like to speak to the Magic School Bus, please.
21:56At your service, Professor Frizzle. M-S-C-E-D-D-P-H-D-O-M-G.
22:02Hi, Professor Frizzle. I have a question. You're not busy, are you?
22:06Not at all. What's on your mind?
22:08The kids in the show got to be pretty good swimmers. Are all fish like that?
22:12Every one. Besides using their fins to swim, they can twist their bodies so the water pushes them in different directions.
22:20They're the gymnasts of the deep.
22:23I know fish school for protection, but I have an aquarium full of schooling fish, and they have nothing to be afraid of.
22:32That's because there are lots of reasons to school besides protection.
22:36Some are organized for feeding, sweeping through the water like a giant net, munching on their favorite seafood as they go.
22:44Those buttons that control the fish sensors in the fishmobiles were cool, but real fish don't have buttons.
22:50Good observation. Real fish have a sack of gas inside them called a swim bladder, which tells them how deep they are and controls whether and how much they sink or float.
23:00What about the line on their side?
23:02Stylish and functional. The lateral lines along their body sense tiny changes in the water, telling them when other fish or tasty bits are nearby.
23:10Speaking of sharks, how come they're always the bad guys on TV shows?
23:15Good point, and it's so not fair. They can be dangerous, but they're just trying to survive like the rest of us.
23:22Plus, you'll be glad to know they almost never, ever hurt people.
23:26That's a relief. So, what's next on the show?
23:30Well, you'll just have to stick around to find out, but I can guarantee one thing. You'll sure lava it.
24:44Thanks for watching!
