01:01the respective judicial proceedings. In that sense, they reiterated in the message that this
01:06act of peace resonates in the respect for the electoral processes and democracy in Venezuela
01:11so that real peace can be built and violence can be stopped for the good of the people
01:16we protect and that of our neighbors who also have the right to self-determination.

01:30The Autodefensas Conquistadoras de Sierra Nevada is a Colombian parliamentary structure that
01:35maintains territorial control in Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, in the department of Magdalena
01:40and other nearby areas. In a historical context, the criminal diaspora is a result
01:45of the demobilization of the United Self-Defense Forces of Colombia.
01:49This group runs through trafficking and extortion networks in tourist areas.
01:53The ACSN operate autonomously in their logistical activities and in some cases have established
01:58alliances with criminal organizations to guarantee control over areas of route and transport of
02:04illicit substances to countries such as the United States and Europe. Recently there have
02:08been cases of capture and participation of ACSN members demonstrating their continued involvement
02:14in illegal economies. However, in recent times the organization has shown a willingness to
02:18negotiate with the Colombian government, declaring a unilateral ceasefire in the hope of installing
02:23dialogues.
