00:00Hello, good evening, my name is Yarris Muller, KKA Sportspuff and I hope you're well, I hope
00:07you're enjoying yourselves, I hope you're enjoying this lovely weather. A bit of a belated
00:11video of the T20 World Cup Final where India teed off against South Africa, where there
00:21were two unbeaten teams in the tournament, head to head at the Kensington Oval in West
00:27Indies and it proved to be a fantastic spectacle between the two sides. Batting first, India
00:37indebted to Virat Kohli's quite superb 76 helped the Indians get to a very competitive
00:47172-7. Now in reply, South Africa had some good contributions from David Miller, Henrik
01:02Klaassen, Quentin de Kock, but it was when Quentin de Kock inexplicably threw away his
01:09wicket I'm afraid, he did a shall we say a flick shot over fine leg to get his four
01:20and he noticed a gap and he exploited a gap in the field. So he was a bit confident, he
01:26tried it one too many times, he tried it again, the very next ball and he would be exposed
01:33and he would be out. This led to a slight wobble. Aidan Markram, the captain, went in
01:41quick succession, followed him out and yeah, so in terms of that then, very much game on.
01:50But Henrik Klaassen, David Miller steadied the ship and Henrik Klaassen when he was out
01:59in the 17th over, this started the wobble. It was very much in South Africa's hands. T20
02:07maiden champion, maiden cup, it was in their grasp, it was in their hands. All they had to do was
02:13chase it down but Jasper Bumrah, obviously he had a couple of overs and that's just like their ace
02:19card, any team's ace card. Jasper Bumrah, one of the best bowlers in this format. So he also chased
02:28it down. They were unable to chase it down and yeah, so there we have it. A very late twist in
02:36the tale but South Africa were all but guaranteed. But superb bowling and fielding by Surya Kumari
02:44Yadav who caught David Miller on the boundary line and that would break South African hearts
02:51by the smallest of margins. Just seven runs would be the losing deficit for South Africa.
02:58Congratulations and scene of jubilance and ecstasy for India, second time T20 world champions
03:07by just seven runs and South Africa in their maiden final falling just short by seven runs.
03:14It was a very sad picture. Keshav Maharaj there in despair. He had a superb tournament.
03:25All of South Africa's bowlers did but it wasn't to be that day today. Take care.
