00:12In addition, as usual, there will be no shortage of historical and natural accents.
00:16Let's go!
00:17Our journey begins in Anastazewo.
00:30Behind my back, right next to the lake, there are the terraces of Anastazewo.
00:34Mr. Piotr Kuczyński will tell us more about this place.
00:38This is an object that, together with my wife, with our own efforts, we built two years ago.
00:43There are six identical apartments in the facility.
00:48Contact with nature, for people who want to calm down, take a walk in the fall, ride a bike, go to the lake.
00:55There are many beautiful bike paths.
00:58We are currently in the garden part, which belongs to the building.
01:02The entrance to this part is only through the building, so it is important for the parents of the kids,
01:08where they can easily spend time on the terrace, having their children here by the window,
01:13and they must not be afraid that someone from the street or the children themselves will go out on the street.
01:18200 meters from here are our two wooden houses,
01:21in a slightly different character from which we started our adventure.
01:24They have a completely different character.
01:25These are wooden houses, as I said.
01:28Each of them is about 300 meters wide.
01:30The buildings are fenced, we enter by car, a safe area, you can come there with a dog.
01:39In the future, this part will be expanded here for mushrooms, which we also have.
01:44In September, we will set up a wooden sauna with a nice glazing, with a view of the greenery here.
01:51The apartments that we have here are intended for four people.
01:54The houses that we have in the forest, there are two bedrooms, so we can easily accommodate from 5 to 60 people there.
02:01The facility is all-year-round, ecological, zero-emission.
02:06Chargers for electric cars will be set up, so it is also an asset.
02:10We make sure that it is in accordance with the environment in which we are here,
02:14to maintain this clean and healthy character.
02:23We are in front of the Pocysterski Monastery in London.
02:26This is a place of great historical significance.
02:29The monks who lived here played a key role in the development of medieval Europe.
02:35They not only prescribed books, but also introduced modern farming methods and cattle breeding.
02:41They built mills and forges and improved beer brewing techniques.
02:46Their activity had a huge impact on the economic development of Europe,
02:50making the monastery an important center of innovation and progress.
02:54The activity had a huge impact on the economic development of Europe,
02:57making the monastery an important center of innovation and progress.
03:01Every year, a popular festival of Cysterian and Slavic culture takes place in London,
03:05and the monastery can be visited every day at specific times, which are worth checking on the website.
03:11So far, so much from history and time for a little nature.
03:20The fields of blooming lavender are usually associated with Provence,
03:24with its never-ending waves of purple flowers.
03:28However, lavender plantations can also be found more and more often in Wielkopolska.
03:33One of such places is a picturesque plantation located near London, right next to Warcie.
03:38This place can be visited all year round, but only in June,
03:41when the lavender has bloomed, it is especially spectacular.
03:45Anyway, as you can see.
03:48We take you to the Nadwarcianski Landscape Park.
03:51The park is located 3 km from the monastery, and it is a real gem of Wielkopolska nature.
03:57It offers amazing views and a wealth of fauna and flora.
04:02The area of the park is known as one of the 7 most valuable water and mud flats in Poland,
04:08and it was qualified as one of the most valuable ornithological areas of Europe.
04:13The park is a perfect place for lovers of active recreation, with numerous foot and bicycle trails.
04:20An additional asset is the monuments of folk culture and traditional architecture,
04:25which can be admired during hikes.
04:35Another place where you can spend a fantastic time near the lake
04:40is the rest house under the roof in Giewartów.
04:44It is a dream place for people who appreciate comfort, beautiful views and delicious food.
04:50We are in the rest house under the roof in Giewartów,
04:53located right next to Lake Powiski,
04:56known as one of the cleanest lakes in Poland.
04:59We specialize in organizing plenary weddings here at our facility, by the beach,
05:05but in addition to this, we also have the opportunity to organize other local events,
05:12baptisms, 18th anniversaries, communions, company events, other family events.
05:18In our main building there are 20 rooms in a rustic style, but that's not all.
05:24We also have rooms above conference room No. 1 and conference room No. 2,
05:3010 rooms above each building in a more modern style.
05:35In our main building there is a restaurant.
05:37We are famous for the Old Polish cuisine when it comes to restaurants,
05:40but everyone will find something for themselves.
05:42We offer fish, seafood, pasta.
05:47I think it's worth visiting us and trying everything that the chef's kitchen offers.
05:52I must admit that one of my dreams is to visit the United States
05:56and see the Statue of Liberty.
05:58However, I did not expect to see it in Giewartów,
06:01and this is one of the symbols of this place.
06:06We are in Strzałków,
06:08and this is where the German-Russian border crossing was located.
06:13It is also the place of the POW camp built by the Germans during World War I.
06:18There were about 25,000 Russian prisoners and 6,000 English and French.
06:24After the Polish independence, the camp was used to hold the Soviet prisoners
06:29from the Polish-Bolshevik war,
06:31of which about 8,000 died of diseases and bad conditions.
06:36In 1915, the cemetery housed 506 soldiers
06:41of various nationalities from the Russian army
06:44and about 7,000 prisoners of the Red Army.
06:47About 500 Ukrainian soldiers and their families were also buried there.
06:52The cemetery was in operation until 1923,
06:56and the memory of the buried was commemorated with a monument.
07:00Red Box Truck
07:02We are visiting the Supecki camp very intensively,
07:05so it's time to replenish the calories lost.
07:09The Red Box Truck is definitely the right address,
07:12and the history of this place is really amazing.
07:15It all started with the idea and dream of my brother,
07:19when we were still in the United States,
07:21to have his own restaurant one day.
07:23And it came true in the spring of 2017,
07:27when he bought this food truck, which is outside.
07:30And that's how the culinary journey began,
07:33because we did various small parties,
07:35various matches, non-matches, meetings.
07:38And this food truck practically appeared here in the spring of 2017.
07:41Opposite us is the military base in Powidzów,
07:44where the US Army soldiers are stationed.
07:47And because my brother and I were buried in the United States,
07:50we know this American cuisine from the kitchen.
07:53Here we serve our iconic burgers, tacos, burritos, steaks.
07:57Because I also spent most of my life in California,
08:01we also have such accents of the western coast.
08:04We also introduce our well-known dishes to the Polish menu,
08:08such as pierogi, gołąbki, various types of soups.
08:11So they are also pleasantly surprised
08:14that they can get to know our native cuisine.
08:17If you are brave, I invite you to a spicy burger,
08:20because I love spiciness.
08:22We have a spicy burger on a scale of 1 to 9,
08:25so depending on your courage.
08:28There is a so-called hangover on the table.
08:30This is our flagship burger, which Americans really like.
08:33So you will have the opportunity to taste it.
08:36Well, it's time to try the real American cuisine in Powidzów.
08:43It tastes really, really, really good.
08:47Hunger satisfied, now we're taking you on a further journey.
08:54After this solid dose of American food,
08:57we recommend you to go for a walk along the promenade
09:01along Lake Powidzów.
09:03The views here are really great.
09:09We end our journey in Przybrodzin,
09:11where there is a charming Jaśmin resort.
09:14As you can see, this is a perfect place for a rest
09:17on a picturesque lake.
09:19It is surrounded by beautiful nature,
09:21offers comfort and peace from a distance from the city.
09:32Two houses in each, three places to rent.
09:35A large fenced area.
09:37If you get to Przybrodzin,
09:39the Jaśmin apartments can be an extremely interesting proposition for you.
09:44A high standard of finishing,
09:46a private terrace and a large lawn.
09:48Everyone will like it,
09:50and the youngest will certainly not complain about boredom.
09:54Right next to the Jaśmin apartments
09:56there is a beautiful beach
09:58where we end today's episode of Tourist Wielkopolska.
10:01I'm going for a swim,
10:03and I encourage you to watch the next episodes of our program.
