00:50Mayor Alice Goua amid allegations she stole her identity.
00:54Comelec is set to create a fact-finding committee to lead the probe into Goua's candidacy
00:58papers.
00:59Goua declared in her 2022 Certificate of Candidacy that she is a Filipino citizen born
01:05in Tarlac, but the National Bureau of Investigation discovered her fingerprints matched those
01:09of Goua Huaping, who arrived in the Philippines from China in 2003.
01:14The Office of the Solicitor General already filed a petition with a Tarlac court seeking
01:18to cancel Goua's birth certificate.
01:20Goua has been in the national spotlight after a Senate investigation into Philippine offshore
01:25gaming operators linked her to a pogo hub in Bamban.
01:29She has denied allegations of involvement in money laundering, human trafficking and
01:33kidnapping schemes.
01:36The Philippines and Japan signed the Reciprocal Access Agreement on Monday, July 8.
01:41The deal makes it easier for the militaries of both countries to train and operate on
01:45each other's soil.
01:47The agreement comes as China's aggressive actions escalate in the South China Sea and
01:51the East China Sea.
01:53Japan's defense and security commitments to the Philippines include help in purchasing
01:56the Philippine Coast Guard's newest vessels and providing mobile air surveillance radar
02:01systems to the military.
02:02Joint military exercises may also be conducted.

02:28Senator Nancy Binay files an ethics complaint against Senator Alan Peter Cayetano for violating
02:33the Senate rules, the Civil Code, Code of Professional Responsibility and Accountability,
02:38and the Magna Carta on Women, among others.
02:40Binay's complaint stems from the July 3 hearing on the new Senate building, where Cayetano
02:45called her crazy and marites, or a gossip monger.
02:49After her complaint, Binay says Cayetano committed slander over malicious imputations
02:53that she was allegedly influencing the media.
02:55You will tell the media that this has something to do with Taguig and Makati.
02:59Ma'am, I will tell you that your name is Lourdes, not Marites.
03:03You are a maritess.
03:05Let's finish this properly.
03:07This is the Senate of the Philippines, not a market.
03:10It was Cayetano who led the year-long probe in 2015 against the Binay family on the alleged
03:15overpriced Makati City Hall building.
03:19The health department considers banning mukbang or videos showing people eating a vast amount
03:24of food.
03:25This after the death of Filipino content creator Dongs Apatan from Iligan City, Mindanao.
03:30Apatan died after a stroke on June 13, 2024.
03:34His videos feature him or his family eating large amounts of food.
03:38Health Secretary Ted Herbosa warns the public about mukbang videos.
03:42He adds the agency is considering banning online videos if the probe proves mukbang
03:47is related to Apatan's death.
03:49Herbosa says mukbang vlogs encourage unhealthy eating habits.
03:54Mukbang or broadcast eating is a practice that originated in South Korea around 2008
03:59and soon became a worldwide trend.
04:01Studies link mukbang videos to eating disorders and food fixations.
04:07France faces a potential political deadlock after elections on Sunday, July 7.
04:12This after the leftist alliance takes a top spot, ahead of President Emmanuel Macron's
04:16centrist alliance and Marine Le Pen's right-wing Nationalist National Rally Party.
04:22No party wins a majority.
04:24Opinion polls predicted the RN would win in the second round ballot but ends up in the
04:28third spot.
04:29The results are also a blow to Macron, who called the snap election after his ticket
04:33loss to the RN in European Parliament elections in early June.
04:38Following the results, the Place de la République in Paris fill up with left-wing supporters
04:42playing drums, lighting flares and chanting,
04:45We've won, we've won.
04:47The election leaves Parliament divided in three big groups, the left, centrist and the
04:51far right, with vastly different platforms and no tradition of working together.
04:58Lewis Hamilton sheds tears of joy after ending a 945-day wait for a win with a record ninth
05:04British Grand Prix victory Monday, July 8, Manila time.
05:08Mercedes' seven-time Formula One World Champion is overcome by emotion as he took the chequered
05:13flag for the first time since Saudi Arabia in December 2021.
05:18Red Bull's triple world champion Max Verstappen finished 1.465 seconds behind, extending his
05:24overall lead to 84 points.
05:27McLaren's Lando Norris comes third after being passed four laps from the end.
05:32Hamilton is the first F1 driver to win a race in 16 different seasons and first to win nine
05:37times in the same circuit.
05:39He is also the first driver to win a race after reaching the rare milestone of 300 starts.
05:45Sunday's race is the 344th race of Hamilton's F1 career that started with McLaren in 2007.
