00:00Jonathan Owens is making his love for wife Simone Biles permanent.
00:04It appears the football player has some fairly new ink, a cursive letter S on his ring finger.
00:10The gymnast, who is preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympics, shared an image of the new tat on July 6th.
00:17We see her hand holding his, showing the ink, and she included a few emojis as her reaction,
00:23including some hearts and screaming faces and crossed fingers.
00:27It's only the most recent show of support and love from Owens to his wife.
00:32Last month, he was in the stands cheering on his Olympian wife as she qualified to compete in the upcoming games.
00:57The NFL player took to Instagram congratulating her, writing in part,
01:05No words can describe how proud of you I am, baby.
01:09Just knowing all the work that you put in and everything that you've been through,
01:13and to still come back and be as dominant as ever, I was speechless.
01:17The 28-year-old has reportedly taken some vacation time to be with Simone in Paris.
01:22He has said he is grateful he'll be a part of this journey, writing,
01:26Just sounds so surreal being able to say my wife is the best to ever do it.
01:31How did I get so lucky? I love you so much.
01:34Last December, the 28-year-old caught some heat after revealing on a podcast that
01:39he didn't know who the gold medalist was when they first connected.
01:43Then I come back to my phone and then she messaged me on the app, like, hey, you know what I mean?
01:48And I'm, man, that's a, man, this gotta be fake.
01:51Like, I don't know, just I didn't know who she was at the time,
01:54but like the first thing that I saw was that she just had a bunch of followers.
01:57So in my mind, I'm like, okay, she got to be good.
01:59If, I promise you, I'm a real life story.
02:01When she won the Olympics, I was in college and we didn't have NBC.
02:07We didn't have Olympic channels and we're in camp.
02:08We're in camp late, late, late July, early August.
02:11So I'm not paying attention to, you know,
02:13so I never would have had a moment to where I would have watched like, you know.
02:17Jock, I'm gonna let you finish your story, man.
02:18Continue.
02:21But like I was saying, man, she messaged me.
02:24This is like a Tuesday and we were texting back and forth and then we hung out Friday,
02:29man, and we couldn't do much as COVID happened.
02:31Everything was shut down.
02:32So she came through down to Houston.
02:35She lived in the suburbs.
02:36So she had to drive about 45 minutes to me.
02:39Then the rest is history, man.
02:41While he may not have known who she was then, now he appears to be her biggest supporter.
02:46The Olympics begin July 26th, airing on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
