00:00I really enjoyed the movie. I thought it was very fun.
00:02The one thing that I particularly enjoyed is seeing how Gru really wants to bond with his son,
00:07and how Gru Jr. is having none of it.
00:10What did you like best about the way the film approaches his experience with parenthood this time around?
00:16Well, I think it's really funny the way he's trying to bond with Gru Jr.
00:21because you know it's eventually going to be okay.
00:25You know it's not a mystery that his son has to fall in love with him at some point,
00:32but that journey there is so much fun.
00:35And I think it's something that a lot of parents can relate to
00:38because immediately after you become parents you want a bond with your children, obviously.
00:45You want them to think that you are the best and the only thing in the world.
00:49And if they don't do that instantly, you feel like, oh, what's wrong?
00:54And to see the character of Gru filled with self-doubt and angst about bonding with his kid,
01:03and the way they animate it too is so funny.
01:06As he turns to see his mom, Lucy, just joy.
01:11And he turns to see Gru and it's nothing but spite and anger.
01:17It's really cute. It's really funny.
