00:00Well, the rangers have spotted one of the dingoes that we're hoping to collar, so let's
00:11hope that we can get a dart in this animal and get a collar on it.
00:41I'm pretty sure he got a full dose.
00:50So give him a minute or so and he should just fall asleep, peacefully go to sleep for a
00:55little while.
00:56Now we just make sure that there's no vehicles coming along that might run him over.
01:01He just stole a bag of pilchards off those fishermen there, so that's what he was chewing
01:06on when I've gone up and darted him.
01:09He's getting really groggy now.
01:11You can see his back legs starting to sway.
01:18So one of the things that the team is watching very, very carefully for is to make sure that
01:21he doesn't go to sleep with his face in any water because he can then drown.
01:25He looks like he's going down, his back legs are starting to give out, he's staggering,
01:29he's just gone over the hill.
01:30Let's go and see if we can catch up with him.
01:38Just putting a pair of gloves on here, just for the safety of the dingo and the safety
01:56of us.
01:57You just never know what pathogens or parasites there might be.
02:02He's at the last throes of going down.
02:05One of the issues is that the wind is blowing right up this valley, so he's smelling us,
02:09which has probably given him a bit of a spurt of adrenaline, which is counteracting the
02:13drug just a little bit.
