00:00Oh, what are these?
00:04This is dinner.
00:06No thanks.
00:07These are what's called dubia roaches.
00:09Uh-huh.
00:10And we have a colony.
00:12And this is important that we not only have good food for our reptiles here,
00:17but also we have to take good care of our food items.
00:20Yeah.
00:21You know the saying, you are what you eat?
00:22Uh-huh.
00:23Well, if we feed and take care of these roaches really well,
00:26they're going to grow up to be nice and healthy.
00:28And when our reptiles eat them, they're going to be healthy.
00:34Whoa.
00:38Can you believe that this is breakfast for a reptile?
00:42But not all reptiles eat roaches.
00:44Some of them eat hard-boiled eggs with the shells on for extra calcium.
00:48Oh, that crunch is just so good.
00:51Crunchy.
00:52That's the crunch of nutrition.
00:54Perfect.
00:55Now we're ready to go feed.
00:57He's tongue flicking.
00:58Oh, we're curious.
01:02Good job, Brooke.
01:06I've just learned that by flicking their tongue,
01:08they're actually smelling things just like a snake.
01:11They're not trying to taste anything.
01:13I had no idea how much effort it took to put together all these cages
01:17for all these amazing creatures.
01:19Well, if I was a lizard, I'd definitely like this.
01:22It's like a maze.
01:24Okay, Brooke, I think we've got to let these guys go.
01:27So we're going to close them up
01:29and let them eat the rest of their breakfast at their leisure.
01:31Okay.
01:32Well, this has been amazing.
01:34Thank you so much.
01:35You're welcome.
01:36Thanks for helping me take good care of them.
