00:00A greeting to all of Cuba and the free world that has always supported the just cause of us Cuban political prisoners.
00:08I am Angélica Garrido and today, July 10, 2024, I finish three years of unjust sentence for crimes committed by the State Security.
00:19Thanks to my Lord who has strengthened me all this time that I have remained in captivity.
00:27I leave with my sister María Cristina my soul, my heart and my spirit.
00:32Along with her also with my brothers the protesters of the 11J and with all the common prisoners who have been victims of this inoperative and tyrant system
00:44that has kept the people in constant misery and repression.
00:48My freedom is not a victory, I do not celebrate it.
00:52The victory is in achieving freedom.
00:55While the pain joins us in this non-violent struggle against communism,
01:04a struggle that is illegal and prohibited by the government, thus annulling our rights,
01:12annulling even the Constitution itself, free expression and demonstrating that there is no democracy in Cuba
01:22and that the fact of exercising our rights is paid with prison.
01:30Our non-violent struggle, I reiterate, is to raise our voice in the face of the clamor of an entire people
01:40that demands an urgent change and that asks for a life worthy of freedom.
01:46A thousand times freedom for all political prisoners.
01:50A thousand times freedom for Cuba.
01:53It is forbidden to be discouraged, my brothers, that the homeland contemplates us proudly.
01:58May God bless you.
