Elon Musk defeated a lawsuit claiming additional severance owed to ex-Twitter employees after he dismissed over 6,000 staff, including the former CEO, after acquiring the platform in 2022. The lawsuit alleged that Twitter's previous severance plan promised senior employees up to 6 months of pay and that Musk violated ERISA protections. The judge dismissed the class action lawsuit, saying the mass firings were not under Twitter's previous severance plan as employees were notified of the change.
