00:00I would have loved to have won something with England, you know, and I was there at the start of the football's coming home song, you know, by Skinner and Baddiel, and I want to see it come home.
00:11You know, I really do want to be there when we win a trophy because that's going to be one hell of a party.
00:17You know, I sampled it as a player, and then now I'm really sampling it as a fan and I see what it means to everybody.
00:24And that's why I say I want to be there when we win something, because it's just going to be a great time.
00:30You know, it's been a long time, obviously, and we've got so close recently, but, yeah, it's just, yeah, I want to be there when football comes home.
00:39Seaman then spoke of how the European Championship brings him fond memories.
00:45Obviously, you know, the Euros brings back great memories for me, really fond memories.
00:50But, like, being in goal for a penalty, it's something that I used to look forward to because it's a chance of glory for the goalkeeper.
00:59And it's just something that, yeah, I was looking forward to it all the time, you know.
01:04Obviously, the pressure's on the penalty taker, you know, and I've done that before.
01:08I took one against Peter Schmeichel in a charity shield at Wembley.
01:11I put the ball down and the goal just seemed to shrink with Peter in it and he saved it easily, you know.
01:15But, you know, what's interesting is that, like, I've been sent a load of information from Hisense about penalties and successful penalties,
01:24and even penalties, you know, the ones where players miss, you know.
01:29They talk about, like, top left and top right being, like, the best position to go for if you can.
01:36But, obviously, it makes the target smaller.
01:38Bottom left for a right-footer is the most common, you know.
01:42And if you go low, then you've got the option of, like, hitting it along the ground.
01:46Obviously, not just bobbling it in, but, you know, you've got to hit it well.
01:50But it'll still, you know, especially if the pitch is away, it'll still zip in there.
01:54But, yeah, I was really impressed with the data that Hisense sent through.
01:58Seaman then alluded to playing for England being the biggest honour of his career in football.
02:05You know, obviously, I've won a lot of trophies with Arsenal.
02:08You know, playing in my first World Cup for England, even though that was just after U96, was a very special moment for me
02:16because I'm a lad from Rotherham and we didn't grow up with a lot of family.
02:20You know, my mum and dad were really hard workers.
02:22My dad was a steel worker.
02:24My mum worked in a bar, you know.
02:26So, you know, money and the pleasurable things, shall we say, went around a lot, you know.
02:31And I got from that, I got to play for my country in a World Cup, you know, and U96 as well, you know.
02:37So, you know, those are massive highlights, you know.
02:41But then, obviously, when I look back, I think of Arsenal and, you know, I won the double twice, you know.
02:47Won the league three times and the FA Cup four times, you know.
02:51I was successful a lot with Arsenal, but, you know, that's my only regret is that, like with England, I didn't get to win a trophy.
