00:00You want some expertise around a weekend of winners and
00:07championships at stake. You came to the right place. So many
00:11trophies on the line this weekend on the pitch in the
00:14world of football or international soccer this
00:17summer. We have the Copa America title game in Miami on
00:21Sunday night between Argentina and Colombia. We have the
00:24European Championships final. The title game in Berlin in
00:29Germany between England and Spain. History at stake for the
00:35English and for the Spaniards as well. Let's start there DRS
00:40by looking at championship Sunday in soccer. The Spaniards
00:43a minus 142 favorite to hoist the cup. Again, these are not
00:47the 90-minute match bets. These are not anything that has to do
00:50with a specific match. Just the overall result. It could be an
00:52extra time. It could be in PKs. Whoever wins that championship.
00:56These are the odds. Spain minus 142. England plus 120. The
01:03English looking for their first international title in a
01:08major tournament since 1966. For the nation that invented
01:14football where they always ask, is it coming home? That is on
01:20the line on Sunday. Spain looking to win its fourth
01:23European championship. That would move past Germany and
01:27stand all alone for the Spanish to win the most ever Euro titles
01:31in the tournament's history. The Spaniards probably the more
01:34talented team overall. We can probably agree and also the
01:36odds makers at the FanDuel Sportsbook also agree as well
01:39listed at a current price of minus 142 to lift the cup. You
01:43take a look at England at a plus 116 price but sometimes you
01:46just have to take a look at getting there which I believe
01:48now is the second time that England has done that and also
01:51winning it are two different things. But you know what?
01:54We're not talking about the NBA finals and I bring this up
01:57quite a bit. It's not seven games like it's not like hey
01:59Spain's gotta win four out of seven against England. They can
02:02probably do that. It's one game. It's one penalty. It's
02:05one bad penalty that you take that gets you a red card to set
02:08you a man down. That's what you have to take a look at. So even
02:10though we do have the favorite Spain at minus 142, sometimes
02:14it's just England's time to win it here. They've been clutch
02:17all the way through. That should be a fun match up and
02:20why not take a slight price here on the underdog with
02:22England to win it? Yeah, I think so as well. I don't
02:27listen again. We're not soccer experts by any means. Our guy
02:30Anthony D'Abundo or many others around the network could break
02:33it down a lot better than we could but I don't think anybody
02:37has been overwhelmingly outstanding like Spain is the
02:40juggernaut. England's lucky to be here. The English style
02:43under Gareth Southgate is a little bit boring. England look
02:47pretty good and aggressive in the semi on Wednesday against
02:49the Netherlands and of course, Ollie Watkins sending England
02:53to the title game. The first time they have reached a
02:56tournament title in a major international tournament off
02:59home soil in a very long time. Of course, they played in
03:04Wembley asking, is it coming home at home during the
03:07European Championships in 2021 and came up short now to Copa
03:12America. What an atmosphere we are going to see on Sunday
03:16night in South Beach in Miami, Argentina and Lionel Messi
03:21minus 180 Columbia plus 152. If you want to see electricity,
03:28get ready for Sunday night in Miami with a Copa America title
03:31on the line. Yeah, South Beach is going to be cooking there.
03:35The party, the celebrations, whichever team and whatever
03:38fan base wins, that is going to be absolutely epic but I do
03:42agree when you look at the fans of the sports book, almost a
03:44two to one price favorite here for Argentina over Columbia to
03:47lift the cup and I do think that makes some sense. The star
03:50power on Argentina, I do believe will rise to the
03:54occasion here but I'm looking forward to a really, really
03:56good match up and it would not surprise us, right? The best
04:00goal of this match could come down to Lionel Messi's foot,
04:03maybe even a penalty kick at that point. I do agree.
04:06Argentina for me moves on and that price point there
04:09certainly reflective of close to two to one. Argentina's path
04:13to the final has not been nearly as difficult as that of
04:16the Colombians. Argentina in the semifinal against Canada, a
04:20hefty favorite made it look pretty easy. Messi scoring his
04:23first goal of this tournament early in the second half on a
04:26deflection right in front of the keeper. Columbia was tested
04:30in a big way. They played a man down for the entirety of the
04:34second half against Uruguay on Wednesday night over in Charlotte
04:38and held on for a victory and of course the scenes in the
04:42stands after that. We hope for a great atmosphere like we saw
04:46in the Queen City during the match but none of the
04:48extracurriculars on Sunday night in Miami. We do not
04:51anticipate that to be the case. It is just going to be
04:54incredible. So, this is where we differ Donny as we give out
04:57some weekend winners. I have like you think England wins and
05:01it comes home on Sunday at the European Championship at least
05:05I am buying into the narrative but I think Columbia actually
05:09pulls the slight upset as the underdog over the world champs
05:13in Argentina in the Copa America title. Yeah, I am going
05:17to go England and Argentina but by the way on this too like how
05:20big soccer is around the world, right? Of course, like there are
05:23a lot of people like soccer in the United States and rightfully
05:25so. We just do not have a very good product that we put out at
05:27the highest level but what happens like if England does
05:31win the Euro like is that a national holiday for like at
05:34least Monday and Tuesday where nobody is going to work and you
05:37just hang out down at the, you know, grab a pint of beer and
05:40celebrate and sing all parts of the night because we know also
05:43in South America, you take a look at Argentina or Columbia,
05:46one of those teams winning it here. That is a national
05:48celebration. We love like the Super Bowl here but it is more
05:51like provincial because we are not all celebrating if the
05:54Kansas City Chiefs win or the Philadelphia Eagles win a
05:56Super Bowl but it must be cool to have that national pride to
05:59do something as big as that particular in England where it
06:02has not worked so many times over the past couple of years.
06:05I would love to see the celebration for the English if
06:07they do win it. Enjoy the ride, right? Enjoy Friday, Saturday,
06:12the preparation on Sunday. It is going to be huge. Of course,
06:16when you have expectation or hope, your heart can break a
06:19little bit harder than what would happen if you weren't
06:22even at the stage but to be there yet again, the English
06:25feeling good, the Spanish feeling good, what a match it is
06:29going to be and the celebration for any of these countries after
06:33a victory in these major international tournaments is
06:36going to be something to watch. By the way, speaking of
06:40international soccer, of course, the US men's national team
06:43dismissing Greg Berhalter earlier this week. There was a
06:46small bit of hope that the US could go land its biggest fish
06:50in this very critical moment ahead of the 2026 World Cup
06:54here on North American soil. Jurgen Klopp was apparently
06:58approached. He was the former manager of Liverpool about
07:03being our manager and very quickly said, nah, I'm good
07:07guys.
