Bersatu expels 123 members for breaching party rules

Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin released a notice on Saturday (July 13) detailing a list of 123 names whose memberships had been terminated from the party.

00:00Besatu released a list of names of its members who have been expelled from the party.
00:06A notice to 123 members was issued by the party's secretary-general, Datuk Sri Hamza Zainuddin,
00:14during the party's convention held in Selayang on Saturday.
00:18Hamza said the expelled members had breached Clause 10 of the party constitution
00:23and therefore their membership had been terminated.
00:26Labuan MP Datuk Dr Sohaili Abdul Rahman, Jeli MP Zahari Kecik,
00:31Gua Musang MP Mohd Azizi Abu Naim,
00:34and Kuala Kangsar MP Datuk Iskandar Zulkarnain Abdul Khalid are among those on the list.
00:40Also expelled are Tanjong Karang MP Dr Zulkafperi Hanafi
00:45and Bukit Gantang MP Datuk Syed Abu Hussein Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal.
00:51The opposition lawmakers had pledged support for the Prime Minister.
00:55It is learnt that Clause 10.4 of the party constitution provided that any party member
01:01who is an elected representative of the parliamentary and state constituency
01:06shall have his membership terminated immediately
01:08if he does not follow the order of the party's Supreme Council.
