00:00Also on CCTV, a man who was driving a parked SUV in Makati City was arrested.

00:06This is the first news of Jomer Apresto.

00:11This foreign national was caught in the infamous hot pursuit operation of Makati City Police

00:16after he was arrested by a parked SUV in Arnaiz Avenue around 2 p.m. yesterday.

00:23In this CCTV footage, it can be seen that two people came down from the white SUV and went to a boutique.

00:31A few minutes later, the suspect crossed the road and approached the parked SUV,

00:38which the driver left behind.

00:40He suddenly opened the door on the passenger side.

00:43Later, the man moved to the other door, got in the car, and the SUV was suddenly run over.

00:50The driver remembered that his daughter was inside the car.

01:00When they came back after 15 minutes, he couldn't see the car anymore.

01:04The police immediately contacted the victims and alerted other police and stakeholders of subdivisions in the city.

01:11It was discovered that the car was missing and the suspect left it in the area of Barangay Das Marinas Village.

01:18The authorities conducted a drug detox operation and the suspect was caught in the Pasay Road area.

01:24He wanted to run away but he saw that he couldn't run away because his mobile phone was there.

01:30He had nothing to do but to surrender.

01:33He is now in custody by Makati City Police and will face a complaint of violation of the R.A. 10883 or the new anti-carnapping law.

01:42He did not give a statement to the camera but he said that he thought that the car was his friend.

01:48The authorities are still investigating if the suspect has a case in another country and is hiding in the Philippines.
