00:00Thankfully, former Trump is not seriously injured.
00:04I spoke to him last night. I'm grateful he's doing well.
00:07And Jill and I keep him and his family in our prayers.
00:10There is no place in America for this kind of violence,
00:13for any violence, ever. Period.
00:16No exceptions.
00:18We can't allow this violence to be normalized.
00:21You know, the political record in this country has gotten very heated.
00:25It's time to cool it down.
00:27We all have a responsibility to do that.
00:30Yes, we have deeply felt strong disagreements.
00:34The stakes in this election are enormously high.
00:37I've said it many times, that the choice we make in this election
00:41is going to shape the future of America and the world for decades to come.
00:45I believe that with all my soul.
00:48Disagreement is inevitable in American democracy.
00:51It's part of human nature.
00:53But politics must never be a literal battlefield,
00:56and God forbid, a killing field.
