00:00Congratulations, you've just been named the Most Potential Breeder for

00:04Hereford Youth Expo 2024. How does that feel?

00:07Oh, it feels surreal. When he called my name, I didn't think it was me for a second or two,

00:14and then I got up and I was sort of shaking a bit, and I think it will take me a few days,

00:20maybe a week, to realise actually what has happened.

00:24Yeah, so you're no stranger to the Herefords, obviously starting in 2018 with the Heifer Show

00:32and now coming through, and now you've bought quite a number of bullet heifers for other children as

00:39well. How is the heifer going to help you moving forward, and what are your plans for her?

00:45Yeah, she's a heifer that's going to really take my studs to the next level. She's going to bring

00:50in that genetics that I would have never been able to afford or source by myself, so this is

00:56really going to take that genetic gain to the next level. But she's also going to give me the next

01:01drive to want to do more for the youth, and like as we do this year, and we have every year, we

01:06bring heifers, and I think I'll definitely be bringing her back next year, and hopefully I'll

01:11bring back some of her progeny in the following years, and maybe sell a bull at the Dubbo Bull

01:16Sale, so I'm pretty excited to see where her future lies.
