00:11They're all great players, but together there's something that's very special

00:15about their chemistry that you just can't replicate.

00:21I felt like, oh, I'm just, this is it, you know, we found our own thing.

00:26Well, hello, here we are at CBGB's gallery in New York City.

00:31I knew it as soon as we played, you know, this is it, we gotta hold on to this

00:35and not let anybody dictate how we're gonna make music.

00:42And we had the idea that we were gonna go to a remote location

00:46and record to find some sort of inspiration in that way.

00:51You know, we're always trying to discover new territory,

00:54but it's sometimes hard to describe.

00:57It's like, if something we land on is kind of cool, let's stay there.

00:59Of course, I won't know what you think is cool.

01:01But, if for some reason, we can like, if something's kind of cool,

01:03let's just lay on it for a minute and let it, because we can always edit it.

01:06Every once in a while some things can converge, you know.

01:11I'm trying to push myself and to grow and just hopefully deliver something unique.

01:21I mean, music is its own language, you know, it really is.

01:26It's how we communicate.

01:31It's like really about paying attention and listening and watching those guys

01:35to know what's gonna happen next or to feel what's gonna happen next.

01:41We're human beings, we have this creative power, all of us.

01:45The creative act is like what life is all about.
