00:00The Dodgers as predicted before the year even got started as the World Series favorites
00:08remain despite a lot of the team and its stars being on the I.L. and L.A. entering the All-Star
00:14break losing eight of its last 11. The Philadelphia Phillies the best team in Major League Baseball
00:19the second best price to win a World Series a plus 420. The Yankees and the O's separated
00:25by only a game in the American League East Baltimore in front of New York but behind
00:30in the World Series odds and the Braves round out the top five those five teams with a three
00:35digit price at 9 to 1. Beck you know how do you evaluate the numbers that back up the
00:40World Series odds here at the All-Star break. I just can't get behind the Dodgers as of
00:45now and obviously they're a great team but you know what the injuries that they're dealing
00:49with missing Yamamoto missing glass and I think are the two key components if Kershaw
00:53comes back I took him to be good but not great. I just can't back them at that number.
00:58I have interest in the Phillies overall but specifically I have interest in the Phillies
01:01to beat the Dodgers in the NL. I think that's a viable bet at plus 500. My kind of dark
01:07horse I think is going to be the Guardians and it comes down to if they can make a move
01:10to solidify their pitch and we have to remember that they're one of the best teams in the
01:14A.L. and they lost Shane Bieber at the beginning of the year so they can make a move at the
01:18deadline to acquire another front and start as I talked about time and time again last
01:23year I always said about the Phillies head-to-head give me Nola and Wheeler against basically
01:27any other combination I will take that and the Guardians are missing that you know frontline
01:31starter so they can get that I'll take the Guardians as a deeper shot and then Phillies
01:35direct over the Dodgers at plus 500.
