00:00Computer Science videos here today to show you guys in this tutorial how to
00:05delete a document on a Mac computer using terminal commands. Without further
00:09ado, let us start the video. So in this tutorial, you need to have access to a Mac
00:14computer to be able to use terminal and terminal commands to execute an import
00:20to release the output. So we can now start this tutorial. We can now go all
00:25the way onto the dock. Go to Launchpad search for the application terminal which
00:30should be built into the Mac computer. If not, you can download. However, it will be
00:34built in. Let's now increase the size of the terminal window. Command plus a
00:40couple of times to increase the text size on screen. Let's now navigate to the
00:44desktop. Before we do that, let's just clear everything on screen. LS minus L, CD
00:51desktop and we want to navigate to the work folder. Semicolon LS minus L to list
01:07everything on screen. So we are looking to delete a document on screen. We have
01:12the work video schedule document but we are not trying to delete that. There's a
01:17document on the desktop that I will copy after I click on right-click and
01:22then copy. Open up the work folder. Let's just right-click and paste the item.
01:27That's pasted. Let's go back to the terminal. LS minus L and there we have
01:34heading code dot doc X which is what we are trying to delete. Let's just execute
01:40the command that was done in the previous tutorial which can be viewed at
01:47the end of the video and will be available at the end of the video. So RM
01:53to remove H, heading code, enter and that document which is called heading code
02:02dot doc X has now been removed from the system. Not completely because it was a
02:09duplicate but if it was not a duplicate and we only had that document that we
02:15are primarily focusing on, it's now gone. So we can now quit the work folder. We
02:23can now quit terminal. And so that's the end of this video. I'll see you guys in the next
02:28tutorial. Thanks for now. Thank you for making it towards the end of the video.
