00:00And looking at Manchester City's transfer news, Danny Elmer is the latest name to sort of emerge,
00:05you know obviously now a European Championship winner, fantastic campaign with Spain, sort of
00:09went a bit under the radar. Is there any news developing there or what's the latest you can
00:14tell us on Danny Elmer? Yeah it's an interesting one, a player who's been linked with quite a few
00:19clubs in Europe including Manchester City and lots of reports about a release clause of in and around
00:2551 million. Now for a player with his talent I do think that seems like quite a reasonable fee I
00:30have to say for the RB Leipzig midfielder and as you mentioned there I thought he was fantastic in
00:35the Euros, obviously ended up as joint top goalscorer and came in, started as kind of a bit
00:40of a backup role but by the end of the tournament was a really influential and important figure for
00:44Spain. Now City were linked with a move for Olmo and been linked actually with Olmo in previous
00:50years as well but my kind of understanding at this stage is that City aren't going to be making
00:54a bid for Danny Olmo. It's always been, from a City perspective, I think this window has been
00:59viewed as they would only be making any major incomings if there were major outgoings. At this
01:05stage of the summer window we haven't really had anyone and the biggest departure has been Sergio
01:10Gomez from the first team picture, that's it really. The likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva
01:15haven't moved on. I do wonder whether if one of them would have left perhaps it would have changed
01:20the view of potentially making a bid for Danny Olmo but my understanding is that even with this
01:25low release clause City aren't going to make a move for him and it's an interesting one that
01:29I think it speaks firstly to the quality City have got in the ranks. If they look at a
01:35player like Danny Olmo and say no you're okay, we don't think we need to sign someone like him
01:40and I think as well it is another indication that Pep Guardiola, he just likes to work with his
01:43smaller squad and that will continue into next season by the looks of it despite what a busy
01:48campaign it is going to be for City with the expanded Champions League and of course the
01:52expanded Club World Cup in around a year's time actually.
