Eastbourne Herald-16-07-24-Cygnet rescued at Alfriston reunited with parents

Rescuers catching and reuniting a cygnet with its parents.

00:00So we've been called out to a field near Ulfriston, just north of Ulfriston.

00:07Unfortunately a mum and youngsters were crossing a lane here and one of the

00:13signets was run over and another one sort of escaped. The parents and the

00:20other youngsters escaped but one of the signets has gone in the wrong direction

00:24and he's now separated from the parents by the road. So we've now got the job of

00:30trying to rescue this youngster and get it reunited with his parents. Now I'm

00:35hoping that in the process of us doing this rescue that mum's not going to go

00:39too far away with those youngsters. So I'm hoping that we can get them reunited.
