00:00On Ali Ibn Al-Husayn, peace be upon him, he said,
00:23Al-Husayn, peace be upon him, gathered his companions after Umar Ibn Sa'd returned,
00:31and that was near the evening,
00:34so I went out of him to hear while I was sick,
00:38and I heard my father saying to his companions,
00:42Praise be to Allah, the Most High, the Best of both,
00:47and praise Him for the good and the bad,
00:51O Allah, I praise You for honoring us with prophethood,
00:57and for teaching us the Quran,
01:00and for enlightening us in religion,
01:03and for giving us ears, eyes, and hearts,
01:08You did not make us from the polytheists,
01:12As for the rest,
01:15I do not know a friend better or better than my friends,
01:20nor do I know a household better or better than my household,
01:25so may Allah grant you all goodness from me,
01:29and I think that one of these enemies will be tomorrow,
01:34and I have seen for you,
01:37so all of you go in search of a solution,
01:39I do not have any grudge against you,
01:42this night has deceived you,
01:45so take it as a camel,
01:48then let every man of you take it,
01:51by the hand of a man from my household,
01:54and be divided in your cities and your towns,
01:58so that Allah may see,
02:01for the people only ask of me,
02:04and if they hit me,
02:06they ask of others,
02:10so the saying of Abbas bin Ali, peace be upon him, began,
02:15he said to him,
02:17why do we do that,
02:19should we stay after you,
02:21Allah will never see us like that,
02:25then his brothers and the sons of Al-Husayn, peace be upon him,
02:30and the sons of his brother Al-Hassan, peace be upon him,
02:33and the sons of Abdullah bin Ja'far,
02:36Muhammad and Abdullah,
02:40spoke to him like this,
02:43then Al-Husayn, peace be upon him, said,
02:46O sons of Aqeel,
02:49enough of killing Muslims,
02:52go, I have given you permission,
02:55they said,
02:57so what do the people say,
03:00they say that we left our sheikh, our master,
03:03and the children of our community,
03:06and we did not throw with them an arrow,
03:09and we did not fight with them with a spear,
03:12and we did not strike with them with a sword,
03:15and we do not know what they did,
03:17no, by Allah,
03:19we will not do,
03:21but our souls, our wealth, and our families will sacrifice you,
03:24and we will fight with you until we find your source,
03:27because Allah has destroyed the life after you,
03:31and Muslim bin Awsajah al-Asadi stood up to him,
03:35and he said,
03:37do we leave you,
03:40and we do not apologize to Allah for your right,
03:44or by Allah,
03:46until I break my soul in their breasts,
03:50and I strike them with my sword,
03:53what is established in my hand,
03:55and I do not leave you,
03:57and if I did not have a weapon to fight them with,
04:01I would have thrown them with stones instead of you,
04:04until I die with you,
04:06and Said bin Abdullah al-Hanafi said,
04:10by Allah,
04:12we will not leave you until Allah knows that we have preserved the unseen of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and his family, in you,
04:19by Allah,
04:21if I knew that I was killed,
04:24then revived,
04:26then burned alive,
04:28then massacred,
04:30he would do that to me seventy times,
04:33I will not leave you,
04:35until I throw my soul without you,
04:37how can I not do that,
04:39it is only one killing,
04:42then it is the dignity that I will never have,
04:47and Zughair bin Al-Ghayn said,
04:50by Allah,
04:52I wish I was killed,
04:54then revived,
04:56and I was killed,
04:58until I was killed a thousand times,
05:01and that Allah would push that killing,
05:04from you,
05:06and from the souls of those young men from your family,
05:09and the group of his companions spoke,
05:12and they said,
05:14by Allah,
05:16we will not leave you,
05:18but our souls are your sacrifice,
05:20we will protect you with our swords,
05:22our foreheads,
05:24and our hands,
05:26we were dead,
05:28and we did what we had to do.
